Went in and got my nails done with SNS dio power on the 19th of August in the afternoon around 2pm. But the end of the day on Wednesday the 28th they were all off. I called and asked for a refund and the man that answered told me "blah blah blah no refund". I got them done right before my life became crazy for a month of working 7 days a week and not in Seattle. There was/is no way to come back in to get them fixed in the next month. I had the best manicure at Princess Nails, and by a MAN. Noc is the guy. He is married to Le and works along side. I went here a while ago because it's close to my boyfriend's house and I had a little extra time before football. I absolutely recommend making an appointment because they keep very busy. I asked for acrylics and even confirmed once I arrived but by the time they got to me they forgot and I was tired of reiterating. So I just got a regular manicure. The manicure was great for $12 but the neck massage resulted in a massive migraine the next morning. They also just left me there for a while when my nails were drying and I had to remind them to let me pay. The product is great but the service is lacking. read more

This is not the nail salon to visit if you are not a White person or NBPOC. If you are Black or appear to be Black expect to be treated with the lowest level of customer service even after giving the salon two prior chances at delivering their stated services. Perhaps you'll even be as fortunate to have one of the employees behave erratically towards you by vehemently waving their hands in your face (close enough to touch you) while yelling "Are you done?!" after you spend less than 5 minutes deciding between two colors from their paltry nail polish collection. Oh, and perhaps you'll be told they "may have time for you" when you already have an appointment - to which you arrived 10 minutes early - and very clearly stated the two services you wanted for said appointment 24 hours prior to actually arriving for your scheduled appointment - while also noting there are only two ghastly White women in the salon on what would normally be a busy day. Ohhhhh, and perhaps you'll be manhandled during your pedicure on a previous visit so much so that you have to request the manager have someone else complete your manicure while he profusely apologizes for the bad service during your pedicure and refusal to listen when you said "too hard, please be softer." Otherwise, hey it's such a swell spot for the basic standards that are Seattle, and the best darn nail salon this side of White and White in Queen Anne! read more

I don't know why, but my pedicures from here easily last three times as long as anywhere else, and there isn't a chemical smell to their salon like other nail salons. Tons of colors and options for nail treatments, although I can only speak for their standard pedicures. I love having this local spot in the neighborhood. Not the fanciest of places but they easily make up for that by being clean, friendly, having a HUGE selection of colors (gel and standard), consistently doing a good job and for their fair pricing. I made an appointment last Saturday..finally got my nails started after 30 mins of waiting (other people were sat down for pedi's and manicures before me) but I figured I'd stay. I got a brand new full set and my nails are already coming off and it's only been a week. The lady who applied the powder did it thick layer of powder..she also put fake nails on the are too big..I asked her to file them more narrow and I barely got that. Everyone at Princess Nails is very friendly. I found princess nails on a whim looking for a gel manicure that I could afford. Let me tell you, $25 gel mani is UNHEARD OF. Not only do they do an incredible job but the quality is awesome! I've now had my nails done there twice and I highly recommend it. My nails always look like a million bucks when I leave the salon! I always feel comfortable and the nail technicians never over talk or pressure me to have a conversation, which is what my experience is in many other salons. It baffles me how this establishment has such a high rating. I went in for a full set and a pedicure. I asked for a medium length almond-shaped set, and it was just horrible. They came out way too short, and the nail tech filed them way too much on the sides. Not only was the shape and length way off, but they were all different sizes! I was willing to bite my tongue and overlook the atrocious gum-drops at the end of my fingertips, until she started on my pedicure... the same lady took the dirty soiled foot water and splashed it all over my legs with a sea salt scrub. No massage or pressure-- just her lazily rubbing dirty foot water all over my legs. Then, she proceeds to re-wet said legs with the contaminated water, along with some lotion. At that point, I just had to ask the lazy worker if she considered it as a "massage". She just sat there, and played stupid. I didn't want to start a scene, so I just went to the front desk to notify the male owner of the situation. He apologized and even after I showed him the horrible job she did, he just assured me that she was the professional, and that she does the best work out of everyone else. Seriously. Unless you are just getting a basic mani/pedi, this place is not for you. Their "best" nail tech couldn't even shape my nails properly. I will never come here again. The Heath department needs to go over basic sanitary practices with their employees. I never had someone splash and rub my legs with dirty soiled leftover toe water before. Gross! Also, forget about the ambiance. The shop itself is a bit dated, and lacks any kind of relaxing environment. No music or tv-- just a group of Viet ladies talking shhh*t about patrons in their native tongue. UPDATE: After 1.5 weeks, all the acrylic nails just came right off, and apparently gave me a nasty fungal infection on my right thumb nail. COME HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK. read more

I drove a friend to a nearby clinic for same day surgery and dropped in here for a pedi while I was waiting. Because I forgot my glasses, I didn't realize until I got home what a bad job was done on my toenails. They were pretty ragged, and thinking back, I realized the woman hadn't filed them. Also the length was uneven. So I had to take matters into my own hands and do some extra cutting and filing. In reading reviews I see that Princess Nails is #9 on a top 10 list of Seattle's best nail places. I'm stunned! With so many nail salons in Seattle there has to be much better places than this one! Nice looking manicure place, with parking! The location is convenient, and easy to find. Pricing is $25, for a gel manicure. My nails look good, however the technician cut my two times during the manicure. One cut was quite deep and continued bleeding throughout the entire manicure. Lan was awesome! I had just gotten a full set the day before from a different salon. I had acrylic on my cuticles and my nails were all different sizes, shapes and lengths. They were awful. Lan fixed them all to the point that you couldn't even tell. The salon was super accommodating to what I needed and the price was so reasonable. It's not all posh like some of the other places but I don't care as long as I walk out a happy camper. And that's exactly what I was! I'll definitely be back to see her. My last appointment, I got a shellac manicure that started chipping/peeling less than a week after my visit. I also have noticed that their sanitary practices have seriously gone downhill, which concerns me about the overall cleanliness of the salon. I walked in here in desperate need of a manicure. I mean my nails were dreadful, uneven, short and long. I had to sit for a little bit since I did not have an appointment, but the woman got to me very quickly. I chose to do a gel manicure and man she knocked that baby out in record time..which is good because I was exhausted. Probably took her about 20 minutes. The only downsides were the lack of a good arm/hand massage and unfortunately, she cut my cuticle. Overall, I will most likely go back since I can walk there from my apartment. The reason I am giving a 1 of 5 is because I was obviously treated differently based on how I was dressed and the fact that I was holding a gift certificate in my hand (so they had already got their $$ out of me). I want to like this place because I live right next door. The reason I know I was treated differently based on the gift card and clothing is because I came back 30 mins later (after I was ready for the day) and they had no clue who I was (and my gift card was hidden in my purse this time) during this return visit they treated me with a warm hello, welcome, and pick your color. I wish I had not tried to clarify that I was the same person as before, because that's when they started treating me differently (again). Once they connected the dots that I was using a gift card, they needed me to wait until a later time! Got a pedicure and shellac manicure and am very satisfied with the service. The place is well lit, spacious, and clean. I noticed that they were observing proper sterilization procedures which is really nice since some nail salons can be sketchy. My nail tech was very thorough and did a nice job. She made sure to put polish on the very tip of my toenails (not on the face of the nail) which I really appreciate because that is a big pet peeve of mine. The prices were also reasonable.
