This use to be my go-to spot but the last few times I've made an appointment, it's as if I've been a walk-in. They overbook themselves so by the time my pedi has ended, I'm waiting several minutes for my mani. I was once at the salon for 2.5 hours!! That's crazy. This past time it was happening again so I said something. The woman who came to do my nails rushed me, no massage and cut my cuticles in 4 places by going too fast and rough. She was very apologetic and felt bad after the fact, but c'mon! Before these instances, I've always had really good experiences which is why I'm rating 4 stars. read more

I just moved to Seattle and went to Princess Nails just because it was in my neighborhood. Wow! What a pleasant surprise, I was so impressed with them! Very professional, excellent manicure and pedicure, clean, friendly and truly I think my favorite mani/pedi place I have ever been. The lovely ladies of Princess Nails, Lee and Thuy, and bad boy Noc, are some of the kindest folks I've met. Their salon is very clean, exceptionally affordable, and the massaging-pedicure seats are sooooo relaxing. I got a pedi here almost 2 weeks ago. My nails still looks great, and I am HARD on my feet- hot yoga, shoes without socks... walking on everything short of coals barefoot. This place was comfortable, the staff was super friendly, and the service was great. I saved the last star because the moisturizers seemed not up to par for my dehydrated feets. Dirty, over priced, and they refuse to give you a discount after making your toes bleed all over. They don't sanitize their tools properly and they use the DIRTIEST nail heaters I've ever seen. First nail salon I've ever been to where they don't massage your feet or hands (they only use a little lotion and that's it). Not worth it. As someone who was born and raised in Seattle, I suggest someplace on top of the hill or lower QA. read more

came in on sunday for a mani / pedi. the place was very clean looking overall and very busy - 6 of 7 pedicure chairs were take as were all the manicure tables. i would highly recommend making an appointment. the owner was very friendly and professional but my nail technician did an awful job. barely touched my cuticles for the mani and didn't even scrub my feet for the pedi - i had to ask her to use soap and a sponge which is STANDARD. when i tired to explain this multiple times she said the salon did not scrub feet and finally the owner had to come over to tell her what to do - perhaps this was a language barrier but frustrating nonetheless. my nails chipped an hour after i got home - for a $40 mani pedi you can get much better elsewhere! update - once i posted my original poor review i received a harassing message from one of the employees of the nail salon about my messages. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNACCEPTABLE- have reported them to yelp. as stated before - stay away!! read more

Just another review from yet another white girl who loves to be pampered every once in a while. I took my friend here to get shellac manicures in honor of her birthday. I haven't had a manicure for almost a year and for her it had been about 5 years. I scheduled an appointment just the day before. I had mentioned this fact on the phone and was pleasantly surprised when they asked whose birthday it was when we walked in. The staff were very friendly and we had a nice conversation the whole time. They have a really great color selection (actually too many colors for indecisive people like us!). We both felt very relaxed and not rushed. My friend's nails turned out flawlessly- the best I've ever seen. Mine turned out *almost* flawless (there's a couple uneven spots if you look really closely) and this is the only reason I'm giving a 4 instead of a 5 (let's call it a 4.5)... But I am quite the perfectionist so anyone else probably wouldn't even notice. With that being said, I am definitely coming back here and don't even want to try another place. $25 for a nice shellac manicure, with a hand/forearm massage (I've been to places where the massage feels like they're trying to perform an amputation; this one is actually really nice), and skin that feels like butter at the end... yes please! I currently make very little money but am seriously willing to consider keeping up on this shellac business after this experience. read more

My daughter and I just left Princess Nails where we both had mani pedi. We were very satisfied. I was about ready to give up on nail salons because I cant seem to communicate about my wants. Especially troublesome for me is pain in my thumbs joints - many times I have left a salon almost in tears beacuse of rough treatment and sensitivity in my hands which was ignored repeatedly. But here they listened to us and were careful. Every one is friendly and efficient and very importantly understands English.
