I came in last Friday for an appointment with Linsey. This is the fourth nail salon I've tried in ATL. I've been going to Sugarcoat Midtown due to how close it is to me, but it feels more impersonal. I connected with Linsey due to a friend's referral in a Facebook Group and she was more than happy to add me to her calendar. Though this is more than a walk, it is still only a short drive from Midtown so not an issue. I used rideshare to get here this time due to my car being dangerous to drive, and it was still easily accessible. There's a road leading to the validated parking area that the rideshare drivers can pick you up and drop you off, since the road in front of the salon is a busy main road. I thought the offer of drinks was wonderful, and I accepted a mini water bottle. Linsey was super patient with me, as I requested her to make my tips shorter after we had finished filing. She was going fast, but I'm so impressed with the results. She even made it to her next appointment without being behind! We chose the four green colors for my set quite quickly as well, but I'm so glad with how they turned out. Hopefully these last long! I'll definitely be back, because I can see how happy Linsey's other clients are. It's nice to have a nail tech who you feel comfortable with! read more

I continue my hunt for a nail salon that I like. I tried this place because of construction that was occurring where I typically go to. I did SNS and a pedicure for my graduation. The SNS started chipping within 2 weeks which I attributed to increased activities that I was doing around that time. I decided to try this place again because I liked the price and figured the early chipping might've been a one time thing but nope my nails chipped within 2 weeks again! The second time I went there, I was indecisive about a color and I felt the tech was getting annoyed with me which I didn't like. My SNS typically doesn't chip and if it does, I can get 3-4 weeks with it before it starts looking crazy. The salon is really nice and they move quickly. They also provide complimentary parking in the back. I'm struggling to find a salon I love so the journey continues. read more

A Walk-In paradise!!! I went in on a Tuesday in the afternoon. Immediately I was greeted, and instantly I was in a seat getting my mani - pedi!!! I even had two technicians working at once. The bar is clean and bright, with happy customers coming in and out in a pretty steady stream! They gave me water, and were patient with me picking the perfect colors. What can I say? I've been here several times and always leave satisfied. Great ambiance, they validate parking, offer drinks and have friendly staff. There's rarely a wait and the place is clean, and they do a good job pretty consistently. BUT my last experience (yesterday) was awful. The nail tech made 4 of my cuticles bleed as he was giving me a manicure, and then sprayed the cuts with acetone before realizing they were bleeding. Then he put the quick clot drops on and aggressively blotted each cuticle that was already sore and burning from the cut and acetone. They were out of my first two color choices (has never happened before) which was slightly annoying. On top of the cuticle issue, the paint job was SO sloppy! It was rushed and messy and I chose the color red so every error was blatantly obvious. He also removed my previous nail color differently than anyone ever has there so I am assuming he was either new or inexperienced? I don't even want to go back to get it fixed because my cuticles are still throbbing and sore. I dont think I will go back, which is a shame because I really do like this place, but there was just such disregard for cleanliness, comfort or care, and it was honestly the most aggressive and sloppy manicure i've ever had. One other thing that has always bothered me about this place is that the metal instruments they use to give you a manicure never seem to be sanitized or come out of any clean space, they are just stored in each techs kit, which given the cuticle cuts I received just doesn't sit well with me. really hoping none of these get infected. I don't know the name of the man that gave me a manicure but everyone else I've ever been to has done a great job. Unfortunate that one bad apple spoiled the bunch for me. read more

I went here with some of my girlfriends and we had no wait time which was great! My friends and I enjoyed the ambiance of the salon. I think my friends pedicures came out nice, but I'm quite unhappy with my set. I understand I chose the color and glitter, but the manicure was a mess, and my tech did a poor job to clean up any nail polish that was on my skin. The entire service seemed entirely rushed to me. The sets they post on their IG look really nice, but unfortunately, for something as basic as a gel mani and pedi, this place didn't do it for me. read more

Update: I came here for an SNS manicure about a month ago and Ally did an amazing job so I thought I found a new local nail salon! I returned last week for an SNS mani and regular pedi and while I didn't have the best experience with the mani, I returned and I appreciate Lena's dedication to fixing my nails and making sure my experience at Lavish was a positive one! You can tell she cares a lot about what she does and it shows in the manicure results and in her warmly greeting everyone who entered the salon. I'm glad I gave them another chance. That isn't something you find everywhere so I will be back. read more

So I took a chance today and tried this salon. Everything was great. I went to Kelly for a pedicure. I will definitely be back to see her for my SNS she was very gentle and attentive. The prices we're reasonable and the workers were friendly I've had trouble finding a salon that does good SNS the shop was new and clean. My polish turned out great! read more
