    Gel Nails done to #perfection

I have only written one other review in my life, but I always ready others. Why? I find others' perspectives important in picking where I go. However, I took a leap of faith because it was late and this place was close to my house. I walked in, the only patron this late at night, and was happily greeted by the two employees- Tina and (I apologize if I ruin his name by misspelling, but I think he said Chung). Tina was an absolute DOLL. She somehow talked me into getting a manicure and pedicure when originally I was only going to get new polish. Since I was the only one in there I felt like an absolute celeb with Tina on my hands and the gentleman on my feet. We chatted, we laughed, and they were INCREDIBLY meticulous. My nails are perfect. And I'm very picky, so I usually do them myself. An absolute 11/10. Mail Magic is a new fav for me, and a great first experience being new to the city. Thanks Tina, see you soon xoxo

I have been going here the past few months !!! Tina and her husband are very polite and do an amazing job !! My gel polish last FOREVER !! And looks very neat ! Even after gel removal my nails still look healthy which is important to me as well!! The place is clean and my experience has been great!

My recent service at Nail Magic was TERRIBLE. I went in for a spa pedicure, partial fill-in and gel polish. I sat in the spa pedicure chair for over 2 hours and left without complete service. My pedicure was good but only 1 hand had the fill-in complete and the nail technician broke my naturally long pinky nail from over filing and trying to rush. I left after 2.15 hours with my right hand untouched and polish was never applied. They still charged me $65.00 and told me to come back for polish which would cost an additional $20.00. I'm going out of town so I can't go back until Monday. I will not be revisiting the salon and will have my nails completed elsewhere. They missed out on a perfect opportunity to display great customer service and they FAILED with flying colors. They lost a good customer.

They do a great job. But I just payed $80 for a regular polish manicure pedicure. And very sexist with pricing.

Good service but way overpriced. Came in for a basic pedicure and a takeoff for my acrylic nails. Charged me $85. Won't be coming back.

I'm not going to lie, I got a bit concerned when I saw the reviews on Google and almost wanted to cancel. I'm so glad I didn't. I was really excited because I've never had hard gel done before and honestly... I don't think I can go back to anything else. The staff greeted me and my friend when we walked in and we were seated. They were super accommodating. (I was actually late because I got lost and didn't realize that there was a parking lot behind the salon and they had called me to ask if I was still showing up) I showed Jeli an inspo pic and she helped me with picking a color/base for a French ombre and she got to work. She took off my old gel and shaped and buffed my nails and an hour and a half later I'm honestly so obsessed with my mani. She really took the time to make sure it looked good. Definitely would come back to see Jeli when I come back to visit Atlanta. I think it was pretty expensive though. (Honestly no idea how much since my friend paid for me but I think I heard $155 for the both of us?) She got the bomb Mani with gel and also a gel removal. So there's probably a bunch of added costs in places.

Highly priced. I didn't expect the final bill to be what it was. But it was the best nail job I've…read moreever gotten. My manicure was don't so well.

I've been going to Sugarcoat Midtown due to how close it is to me, but it feels more impersonal. I connected with Linsey due to a friend's referral in a Facebook Group and she was more than happy to add me to her calendar. Though this is more than a walk, it is still only a short drive from Midtown so not an issue. I used rideshare to get here this time due to my car being dangerous to drive, and it was still easily accessible. There's a road leading to the validated parking area that the rideshare drivers can pick you up and drop you off, since the road in front of the salon is a busy main road. I thought the offer of drinks was wonderful, and I accepted a mini water bottle. Linsey was super patient with me, as I requested her to make my tips shorter after we had finished filing. She was going fast, but I'm so impressed with the results. She even made it to her next appointment without being behind! We chose the four green colors for my set quite quickly as well, but I'm so glad with how they turned out. Hopefully these last long! I'll definitely be back, because I can see how happy Linsey's other clients are. It's nice to have a nail tech who you feel comfortable with!

Not sure the value is there when you don't get polish, but I understand that may be common practice to charge the regular manicure price for no polish. Overall I'm happy with the results.

I must have entered $55 thinking the machine was asking for the total amount to charge, instead of just the tip amount, which caused the total charge to be $105.00. As soon as I noticed the mistake, I called the salon immediately. The first thing the lash tech (Vy) said to me was, "I gave you receipt yesterday, honey." I explained that it was clearly an obvious error. She then responded, "Your lashes were $50 and you added tip." I told her I would never intentionally tip more than the actual service itself. Her response was, "You did it by your hand, honey." What rubbed me the wrong way was the attitude and lack of professionalism. Instead of simply acknowledging that a mistake could have happened and trying to help resolve it, she became defensive. I had already mentioned that I planned to return for a more expensive package in the future, so I didn't understand why the situation was being handled this way. She then said, "We have camera." At that point, I was honestly confused by the response. Of course businesses have cameras nowadays. The bigger issue was never about the camera footage it was about customer service and resolving what was obviously an accidental charge. The strange part to me is risking future business and loyal clients over $55. A simple, respectful conversation could have resolved the entire issue. Instead, the interaction left me completely turned off from returning. I stopped responding because I was genuinely bewildered by the unnecessary hostility over what was clearly an honest mistake.

Initially, I was optimistic, but honestly the experience left me with mixed feelings. My cuticles were overtrimmed to the point of drawing blood several times, and one of my toenails was cut too short, causing some discomfort. The tech attributed it to me having "thin skin," but as someone who keeps their cuticles soft and has never had issues with bleeding during nail appointments, I found that explanation hard to accept. Also, maybe my techs were newer and still building experience, but the filing on my nails seemed excessive, leaving them thinner and weaker than usual, and that felt unnecessary for a simple gel manicure. Now for the positives. TO THEIR CREDIT, my techs worked on my hands and feet simultaneously, which made for a quicker visit which fit very well into my busy day. They did give a small discount due to my sore cuticles. And the Buckhead location is undeniably beautiful, with a bright and welcoming atmosphere. Being there just makes you feel pretty. I'd be open to returning if more care is taken with cuticle cutting and nail filing.

Went with a friend and made appointments in advance, but arrived and had to wait quite a long time because there weren't a pair of pedicure chairs next to each other available. The nail tech doing my manicure did a horrible job. I had to ask multiple times for her to paint the sides of my nails and was met with a rude attitude. It was sloppy and uneven. I was finished long before my friend because both techs assigned to me rushed, for no apparent reason, because there weren't clients waiting. If a nail salon is guilty of the 3 'R's - Rushing, Rude, and Rough - I deem them a NOPE. There are too many salons in this city to endure that experience.
