I've had wonderful experiences at this location until today. The woman who began my pedicure was watching a video on her phone and did not turn it off while I was there, and stopped my service mid-nail trim to comment on the video. She then used the nail buffer so hard while we continued to watch the video that she made my cuticle raw and bleed. I had to walk out of the pedicure barely 5 minutes into her starting. Very disappointed and wouldn't recommend any longer. read more

I've been to the other Nashville location and never had any issues. I came here because it was closer and I just needed a dip removal. They were able to get me back right away, but the service was awful. The woman who removed my dip was so aggressive with my nails. After the fourth time of the drill hitting my cuticle, I said Ow and she said why ow? It doesn't hurt... see? And then proceeded to put the drill on a totally different part of her hand, not on thin cuticles. I told her that she was hurting me, and then she gave a half apology. It made me incredibly frustrated that she tried to tell me what does and doesn't hurt in MY BODY. After that, she did try to avoid the cuticle better. She got all the dip off, but left my nails jagged and uneven after her attempt at shaping. If she would have slowed down and taken 2 more minutes for the service, she could've done a much better job without hurting me. My cuticles are a wreck after coming here and I had to go home and fix my nails. On top of bad service, they charge $15 for dip removal while the other Serenity only charges $10. read more

My friend and I were able to walk in and immediately get seated together, service was great and my nail tech made my nails look as close to my reference picture as she could get, she was also so sweet. I have been searching for a nail salon that's closer to my house and I am so glad that Serenity Nail Bar is located just 6 minutes away! Each visit, I've been greeted in a friendly way and have enjoyed my interactions with all the staff. They will offer you a beverage and get you settled in. My usual is a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I love the massage chairs and enjoy talking with the nail technicians. They have been so wonderful and helpful. They've helped me pick out colors when I've needed help. The nail salon is new, so the shop looks super clean, bright, and spacious. There is parking in the shopping center with plenty of parking space when I have come. I look forward to going back as soon as I can. read more

I was visiting Nashville for 10 days over the holidays and wanted to get my nails done. I looked through so many reviews and decided to try out serenity nail bar. I had my nails done by Sara who has been doing nails for 4 years. I showed her pictures of what I wanted and she matched it perfectly. She even added chrome on top for no extra charge (after asking me and making sure I would like it) since I was a new customer. I ended up getting a full set of dip with tips and chrome on top. I would HIGHLY recommend this place. It is a little expensive, but they offer complimentary beverages and I ended up finishing two mimosas by the end of my appointment. My total was $70 excluding tip. They also gave me a complimentary body cream that I am dying to try out. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Nashville. read more

I would like to first say I have been going to a nail tech in west Nash for 3yrs. I came to this salon bc my lady is now a hour round trip away because I moved. I walked in and told them it was my first time and wanted a full set. Completely dismissed me. Said "pick color, sit down" I remained optimistic. My nails tech RYAN comes up I start conversation saying it was my first time and how I work downtown so his salon is closer. So then I showed him a picture of the nails I wanted. Matte black stiletto with silver squiggly lines, a picture from Pinterest. I told him "if you're not able to i completely get it I have others in mind that I like too" he said no he could do it. 2 hrs go by, before he starts the paint he looks up at me and says "you're too skinny, your face so skinny, you need to eat something, work at night make you too skinny". The audacity of a man commenting on a woman's weight, no bueno. I was no longer nice & smiling new girl. I was crying in his chair bc I deal with personal issues with my weight. I ask him to remove the work bc it was NOT close to the picture and just do and all over color silver on one hand and all over color black on the other. Very simple no design. When I tell you I have more bumps on my nails from powder residue and glue on my fingers from not cleaning the nails before the new coat. My nails look horrible, and I'm very lenient whenever it comes to nails but an all over color, I no longer have an excuse for. I left this salon for the first time feeling like shit bc I'm "too skinny" for my MALE nail tech to hold his tongue about my weight and my nails looking like I have a rash underneath my paint. Sadly and unexpectedly had a very unpleasant experience this afternoon. I came to get my Apres Gel X removed and and unfortunately they use a bowl of acetone that destroys your fingers/hands and your inhaling the fumes so I requested the traditional way of removal with the cotton pads and foil in each hand and things just went downhill after that. I ended up leaving very disappointed and dissatisfied without even getting color on my nails bc the individual doing it was openly annoyed with me and sighing throughout my service and I couldn't relax, just wanted to get out of there. Ugh, don't think I will be returning bc the vibes were so off. read more

Went here and got the sea salt pedicure which is $55. They rushed through my pedicure and I was done within 20 minutes. Still had dead skin that was still visible from blisters on a few of my toes once she was done. Also around 6:10 they turned off the music so it was silent in there but it says online they don't close until 7:30. It made me feel like I was rushed out of there. read more

I hate to leave this review... I've been going to serenity for months now and the staff is incredibly nice and talented. My negative review is based on sanitary conditions alone. I went in almost two months ago for a pedicure and my manicurist clipped skin from both of my big toes. Normally I don't fuss too much about those things, accidents happen, but the tools that were being used did not come from one of those "recently sanitized plastic wrapper things" they were just floating around in her nail kit. Later that night my toes were throbbing- like needed to take Tylonol throbbing. Nearly two months later, I finally went to the doc to get antibiotics as it hadn't gotten better. This place is great- just bring your own tools. read more

The workers are normally nice but this is the second time that I've left with every single one of my fingers bleeding from them cutting my cuticles. My hands hurt so bad from them cutting too close. Really disappointed in this place as i really wanted to like it. But i can't keep paying $70 for all of my nail beds to be bleeding when i leave. I usually have an overall good (never exceptional) experience when I come to the location. I'm sending this email to share the experience from my last visit. The nail tech executed the manicure poorly. The color was not coated neatly and was not thoroughly dried. I was cut/stabbed along the nail and skin of my big toe. The wound was not properly taken care of before the polish was added. My visit has been over 2 weeks ago and it still hurts. I came in earlier that day to inquire how long a mani/pedi and was it would be at most an hour and a half. I would've been ok with it being time consuming if the results matched the time. It was a rushed job that still took the time of perfection. I cannot recall the nail tech's name. (she looked to be wise) please make sure all technicians be careful and take time when they're handling customers. I know mistakes happen but mistakes and bad results are never good. This is the email I sent to directly to the location and never received a follow-up of any sort. I'm amazed by the poor service and lack of concern from the business. Also I had to get an antibiotic due to the fact my toe was INFECTED!! Never again and I highly recommend to stay clear of this establishment. read more

Worst manicure I've ever received. The nail tech was obviously in a HUGE hurry. She applied my dip very sloppily. It was all over my cuticles, the edges of skin around my nails and even on the back of my fingertips. She kept saying "don't worry I'll fix it when I shape them." She then proceeded to drill off the extra which was painful to my cuticles but I endured it because it looked SO bad. When she finished the edges around my nails and my cuticles were still a wreck and there was still dip powder everywhere. She had to rush off to another customer and I couldn't take any more pain so I let her hurriedly check me out. It took me 2 hours at home to make my nails look somewhat decent and not like a preschooler did them. I've had hundreds of manicures and this was hands down the worst I've ever had. read more

I have had acrylics for many years now and often jumped to many different nail salons because I could never find one I felt confident about going into to get a fill that was done well.
