Great menu, excellent quality and preparation, but bland tasting. We asked them when placing our orders to add extra seasoning ... not heat/spice, just bolder flavor. All we got was their usual, solo, basic sauces. We finished already running late for a hospital appointment and no bill came, so I walked up to the front desk to pay. Only then did I notice two surprising things: 1) we're SUPPOSED to walk up front to pay and 2) there sat a table full of condiments, spices, and our favorite sweet chili sauce. Any of those would have transformed our bland meal to a delicious feast; all the waiter had to do was point towards it when I asked for it. Oh, well, we resigned ourselves to two of their great-sounding coconut ice cream desserts despite my diabetes. How could THAT go wrong? Well, it did; they were out of ice cream. read more

Very yummy dinner at Lawan's Thai Garden. The salad rolls (spring rolls), green curry and Phad See Ew were all delicious! Prices are reasonable. The ambiance is a bit lacking in that the restaurant is a little stark with fluorescent lighting and concrete walls. Will definitely stop here again next time we are passing through. read more

My absolute FAVORITE Thai restaurant I've been going to since high school. The service is top notch. Family run business and they are the sweetest people ever! They remember me and what I order The food is completely satisfying and I can't find anything close to it! It's always fresh and made to order. My favorites are the Teriyaki and Mongolian noodles as well as the fresh spring rolls and fried spring rolls! Can't forget about the Phad Thai either...sooo scrumptious!! It was watery rather than creamy, so on the bright side, at least it was comparatively low calorie. Somehow still felt heavy. Heavy on green bell peppers, missing eggplant. Service was hit and miss. Always a "go to" when I'm tired of cooking. What I love most about Luwans is the customer service. We always get the same waitress, same table by the window and the service only gets better. Smiles and laughs are shared with the waitress although we have came here plenty of times I have yet to ask her name but she's amazing. Second, the food is delicious. I wanted to do a nice dinner for mom as she doesn't get out much. So I dressed the table with her china and crystal and went to Lawans's for dinner . She kept saying "this is soo good." My husband really enjoyed as well. We ordered Drunken Noodles with tofu and without egg. My first time having this dish. It was very good. Then we had Phad Thai with cashews. Yummy. And of course the salad fresh rolls were very good. I wanted to try the mango sticky rice and there were mixed reviews on the rice. It was very tasty and well prepared but not sticky. I think it was jasmine rice and not the short sticky. But it was tasty. I got an iced Thai tea and my mom and husband loved it.... What's not to like... Found this spot in the middle of are road trip. My brothers and I are originally from California and have been craving Thai food for a while now. This place was Amazing!! Highly recommend!! The fried egg-rolls came out piping hot and flesh! Tasted like they just came out of the fryer. We were so hungry we each got our own entrée, but honestly each entrée is portioned for sharing. The service was fantastic too! The food came out really fast and the server regularly checked on how we were doing! I would definitely come here again if I got the chance!! read more

The person who took my simple order with no special requests or substitutions seemed almost pissed off, as if I'd came in and interrupted her soap operas. What is the hard pass for me is they seem to add $5 to your bill based on their menu prices, then give you an unitemized receipt with a tip line when you go to pay. I thought there was something wrong the first time I visited but let is slide as I was new in town. After another visit here, and noticed the same problem I went back to verify my order against the menu and that is what happened the first time as well. I won't be making a third visit. read more

One of the best Drunken Noodles I've ever had. It was a large portion and tasted fresh and delicious. The only issue I had was that was that the noodles were a bit greasier than I would have liked. I was in Hermiston for work and had dinner here because it's right next to the Holiday Inn. I eat a lot of Thai food from an amazing food cart near my house, so I was hoping this would not be too bad in comparison. To be honest, the pad see ew I ordered tasted nothing like what I expected, but it was good if I just pretended it was some other dish. Im from Portland , first time in Hermiston and didn't expect the good Thai restaurant in this town. This restaurant is located next door to our hotel so I gave them a try...The foods on the menu looks delicious and of course I wanted to try everything ... I picked couple dishes on the first day and the taste was very delightful. So we went back again next day and I brought my boyfriend this time. We picked different dishes and they were really good. By the way , I'm Thai and I know what's good... Overall, I'll definitely come back again when I have a chance... The owner, Eve was very friendly.... If you're on interstate 84 or 82 this is definitely worth a side trip. I found this place by the Yelp reviews and they didn't disappoint. I tried the Mongolian noodles just because all of us normally order pad thai. The noodles are excellent. The sauce is what really makes the noodles. It was a little spicy and a little sweet and hit my tongue and all the right spots. Next time I would try the drunken noodles.
