honestly i don't even know. They only have take out the restaurant is closed they only use it to cook their food and the customers come in to pick up. The service is fine you don't have to be waiting long for the food. The place just looks like it hasn't been used probably since before COVID. I'm disappointed in the food. The biriyani was just white rice like a pound of it and I kid you not, five pieces of chicken. The samosas were good at least and the naan. The butter chicken was chicken sitting in water basically. The chicken qorma also very watery sauce and there's only three pieces of chicken no flavor. Each chicken dish like the butter chicken and the qorma, etc, DO NOT COME WITH RICE. Spent $30 on chicken tikka masala, samosa, and garlic nan. By the time we got home and looked in the bag, we realized we didn't receive rice. We paid $15 for just the chicken tikka for them to not include rice? Also, idk what it was but it definitely didn't taste like chicken tikka masala.. it was more of an Italian dish than anything. My husband and I love Indian food. And we had been looking for one close to home. We were excited to try this restaurant that we didn't even know was in Kendall. It really is a hole in the wall. Our experience wasn't very good. The staff if friendly but the food wasn't. We ordered appetizer and an entree. We could hear the appetizer being microwaved before it was served. And when our entree, which was chicken rolls masala, arrived it tasted like pure canned tomatoes. It tasted like pure tomato soup without any other flavor to be found. read more

This is a very honest review as I am not related to the owners, in any way, but am only a very grateful, thankful customer. Have had many such dishes from many different places but Lazeez Miami is head and shoulders above all of them! Food was outstandingly delicious each and every time I bought from them! The chefs at Lazeez who cook the mutton biryani and kheer, raita and other such dishes are among the world's very best, I believe. Never tasted a more flavorful and more admirable mutton biryani, raita or kheer anywhere! The owner has been consistently very gracious, kindly and has taken trouble and great care over our orders even when they were very, very busy. Many authentic spices missing from food. The biryani did not have any caramelized onion or flavor,'and same with the other foods ordered. We were advised that some foods ordered were prepared with spices, and the level of spiciness could not be altered. However, that wasn't the case, there weren't any spice. I've eaten in many Indian/Pakistani restaurants where the food is very flavorful, even when requesting medium or mild, the main spices are never lost. So in essence, will not be visiting that restaurant again. read more

For the price, this has got to be one of the best deals to be had for Indian/Pakistani cuisine in Miami. It has a loyal following among the Indian/Pakistani community simply because the food here is rich for such a low price - imagine paying half the price you would at Imlee's! And yes, maybe it's hard to compare especially since this restaurant is much akin to be Pinecrest's Imlee's naked and poorer cousin born in a neighboring country located in the far suburban West Kendall. The cuisine is not exactly Indian - there's some differences that show since the owners are Pakistanis. But those differences are subtle that my appetite for delicious Indian food was more than satisfied. The ambiance of this place is truly a hole-in-the-wall. It is very stark - white walls with few articles decorating its ambiance, a big picture of a mosque, and few else. There are plenty of tables and chairs, but they too are not well adorned. The laminated one-page menu does not seem to be much, but they offer samosas, lassi, naan, roti, chicken curry, shish ka bob, and even a vegetarian plate among its numerous items. And for my delicious two samosas (beef and vegetarian) and roti, I had them bring out also the green sauce (sorry, the name escapes me at the moment) to complement the yogurt sauce (again, sorry), that was set. The combination of them both proved to be power-packing spicy-delicious that was sweet, spicy and not too overbearing! Probably my meal came up to be around $8 in total. The priciest item in the menu was around $12, and most items were under $10. The only negative is that they're not normally open before 3 pm. Check the hours they're open before you go! Wow, what an awesome experience! A bit off the beaten path, you may find this place a bit difficult to get to, as it is tucked in a residential area full of apartments, in a small shopping plaza. My friend and I thought we were lost, as all we saw were apartments and thought there was no way there could be a restaurant among the rows of apartment buildings. We called and finally realized we hadn't gone far enough. The place was tucked between other establishments in a small shopping plaza on the right, a bit of a hole in the wall. Inside, the place is very small and simple, more like a family cafeteria than a cold, highly impersonal, large restaurant. A young man was in there browsing the internet and then watching movies. I had never had Pakistani food, so I was excited. I don't know why there aren't more Pakistani joints, I bet they'd achieve the popularity of Tap Tap if they opened at the beach! Apparently, after reading over the menu, a lot of it is similar to Indian, with some added items that I had never seen before. Choices were tough, everything sounded so, so good. Prices seemed very reasonable, and they had combos which gave you a bit of everything and at a great price. The mango lassi we ordered was made from scratch. We heard the blender and cutting sounds from the kitchen, probably the cutting of the mangoes. My friend ordered chicken haleem and I got a number 7 combo. As we waited, we got a salad with delicious cucumber yogurt dressing, and some papadums. We liked it and the owner laughed about how we thought it was great, saying "that's just the beginning". It seemed he was very confident about his food, but would it measure up to the hype? The chicken haleem was a lentil stew with ground chicken. We were brought white basmati rice as well. My friend liked his dish and found it filling. My combo was also delicious. Although there was tandoori chicken in there, it tasted different than the tandoori chicken I am used to having in Indian restaurants, so, although their dishes may be very similar to those in an Indian restaurant, the spices are slightly different. The food was very flavorful, aromatic, and filling, including the delicious patties. The owner, Shakeel, kept telling me "you're not finished", so I was expected to eat it all although I was starting to feel full. I felt like I was at my mom's suddenly! I slowly ate it all, including the tender naan. He was happy to see that and offered us dessert. Based off of Yelpers' recommendations, we ordered the Kheer, and it was delicious. My friend's usually not impressed with rice pudding but this one was great, and very sweet, but not overpowering to the point you needed to gulp down water. It was very smooth and thick, it didn't have the lumpy texture of a usual rice pudding. I cannot recommend this place enough, the food is out of this world, the service is very friendly and personable, and the prices are great. I can't wait to go back and I am extremely grateful for my Yelp app, which told me about this amazing restaurant in the first place and yes, I am jealous of the locals who can walk here or order from here every day. Update: takeout order 8/19 I went against my better instincts to give you a second try Lazeez, because some of your reviews are pretty stellar. I should have just stayed home. I ordered via Yelp24 and to my surprise it was actually ready when I arrived. I played it safe and ordered chicken tikka masala - it's a good litmus test to tell me whether this place is legit or not. I wish I could give it negative stars: For $15 you get a decent portion of what some might call chicken tikka masala, saffron rice, naan, and cucumber salad. 1. Chicken tikka masala: chicken was DRY as if it had been over-stewed in its sauce. This is ironic when you consider that the sauce (which lacked that signature garam masala flavor and a distinct creaminess) actually tasted like it came straight out of a can and wasn't cooked at all. Like when you use canned tomatoes and haven't cooked them yet - that taste. How does chicken become overcooked in a sauce that is clearly underdone? Still trying to work that culinary mystery out. Also, NOT spicy despite my preference for it stated in the ordering process. 2. Naan. Rubbery, burnt, oddly soggy. I'm upset and bewildered. How are you soggy, naan? 3. Apparently the platter comes with cucumber salad. Would have been nice to know that when I placed the order. It just said "make it a platter?" I clicked ok assuming the best. What I got was the worst. I hate cucumbers and could have avoided this sad attempt at salad. (See photo) 4. Rice. Well, what can I say really about rice? They didn't manage to screw it up. Let's give them a round of applause for that one. I feel bad giving such a negative review - they're the only real Indian place (or are you even Indian, bro?!) in Kendall and I SO wanted it to be my go-to takeout place. I am so disappointed and I hope they turn it around because they are on the struggle bus in there. You can tell there's no clear structure too (my previous review provides a pretty glaring example) - walked in tonight, wasn't greeted; someone who was clearly a cook came out; saw me; I told him I was there for pickup (bc he didn't actually say anything to me); then someone else came out with it a few minutes later. If you like Pakistani food and don't care about the atmosphere this is the hole in the wall you definitely want to be at! We drove 130 miles round trip and were not disappointed. The service was very good and our server was very attentive. The taste of the food was authentic home cooked Paki food. Our gang of 7 (all Paki foodies) had a feast and ordered Brain Massala, Nihari, Haleem, Chapli Kebab, Sikh Kebab, and dessert was the Shahi Tukras all of which were deelish. This place is very small so take out is really best. Order ahead and pick up at the said time. The owners take care of each order and they carefully package it and greet each customer in person. I have being going for years and they are very punctual. The owners carefully review that what you order is complete and nothing is missing. The place is not a typical American or Hispanic place so do not expect it to be one. I read a reviewer who mentioned the place is dirty and that not the case. Sometimes, lack of culture and understanding from other places prompts ignorant people to give bad reviews. If you want to try amazing, Pakistani food this is the place. The somosas are out of this world, I personally love to order butter chicken with the platter side and dip the naan in the sauce, it melts in your mouth. If you want healthy, go to a Jamba juice and pretend to enjoy it, but if you're a real foody with a taste for amazing food go to Lazees. I also recommend the bbq sampler, it comes with several types of amazing meat. So was the tandoori chicken but I was craving a little more spice. The makhani was not up to the mark . NAAN was good too. Over all a good experience . I might come and try a few more stuff. I've been coming to this restaurant for probably 2 years. Although it is in a decent looking shopping center, this restaurant really takes pride in their cooking. I'm a vegetarian and they have like a good 6-7 options just for us...not something you can really find here in Kendall. So far, everything that I've tried has been amazing. The naan....I mean, I'm addicted. My favorite is the Cumin Seed naan. It's just, incredible. I eat it by itself and honestly, I have to control my self when eating it (it's really tasty). The owner is extremely sweet. He comes up to you and asks you about your day, he remembers your face, overall a great guy. I think this is more like a take out restaurant. You don't see as many people in the dining area because I believe 80% of the weekday clientele is take out. The door doesn't stop revolving at this place. Wanted to try something new with my husband, this restaurant is two blocks away from our house and well we know the shopping center where it's at , and I t's not the nicest, but we went with a open minds and just tried it. When we walked in, it was spotless clean we were immediately greeted by a young and very pleasant waiter, he knew we were there for the first time and explained the whole menu to us. At that point more and more people started to arrive, we ordered one of their combos to be able to try different things. The food did take a little bit of time to come out but it was well worth it, everything we tried was so good, and the portion of the combos could easily feed three hungry adults. My son and I love this place. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and accommodating. I highly recommend the goat korma, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, and samosas. You can taste the homemade flavor. We always order everything with a medium spice level and it has been up to par with our very seasoned palates, as we regularly eat spicy food. It's a small mom and pop so it's more suitable for take out than dine in. A hidden gem for West Kendall locals. There was only one time I ordered with friends that they forgot to make the food spicy and we didn't know until we were home and by that time they were closed. Took over 30 minutes to get my food and unfortunately it did not arrive very hot; instead mildly warm, which was disappointing. Nihari had many small pieces of fat floating all over and meat chunks were darker than normal (see photo), chicken boti was luke warm as was the naan, cucumbers and onions were dried out as if they had been cut and stored all day. Overall very slow service, poor food quality, prep and taste. Either people in Miami don't know good desi taste or I hold these establishments to a higher standard. I think this is the first time I've had my food served in disposable plates when I'm dining in. Plus one of the paper plates was dirty. I ordered a platter from the vegetarian section, but I dont remember the names. They definitely took too long for just 5 customers dining in. I heard the waitress say it takes about 30 min. Absolutely some of the best Indian food we have found in Miami. We are Indian food fans and have made our rounds through several of the local restaurants. We stumbled upon Lazeez almost by accident. We were at Bball close by and a search of nearby restaurants yielded Lazeez. The mall it's in is a little sketchy, with several vacant shops. The restaurant itself though, located in the inner corner, is clean, well organized and well lit. The owner, Shaquille is one of the nicest restauranteurs we've met. He always greets us and remembers our favorites. He really adds to the experience here. All of the servers are quiet and kind. Definitely great family environment and service. The food itself is out of this world. Made to order and always seasoned just right. We usually start of with samosas and sometimes the mini egg rolls. We follow that up with a mix of chicken tikka botti (tandoori), butter chicken, some kebabs, paratha, an amazing bread made of several layers (think tortilla and phyllo dough) and garlic naan. It's deliciously rich and homemade flavors make it feel indulgent yet cozy...and this place is the perfect place to find it at amazingly reasonable prices. The service is stellar. I rarely rate restaurants one star, but I have to for this restaurant. My friend and I were in Miami, and I was craving some Chapli kebab with naan. We found this restaurant on Yelp with 5 star reviews highlighted on top. Sad to say, but this time Yelp really failed us (make sure you read the 20 nonrecommended reviews). The only good thing about the restaurant was the friendly Latina waitress with glasses. When you come inside, it looks like dar ul uloom instead of restaurant (all the walls have pics of masjid, Quran verses, etc). It is dead silent, no music or anyone at the register. We ordered naan, chapli kebab, and chicken tikka masala. We asked the uncle what the difference between the chicken tikka masala and the butter chicken was, and he said that the masala one has more spice. When we got the chicken, it was sooo soo bland it tasted like someone put tomato sauce on it. Then I thought perhaps I got the butter chicken, but it didn't even have butter. On top of that, the Naan was horrible it tasted like something made from pizza dough and it was microwaved. Also, for the chapli kebab, I told my friend that please can you go to the kitchen and ask for one chicken chapli as well. My friend went to the kitchen and the uncle was opening the microwave and acted very startled like he was doing something wrong. Idk my friend did not like the food at all either but we were so hungry that we ate our kebabs (chicken we couldn't eat at all). I think the uncle heard me complaining about how bad it was because he came by to ask my friend how the spice level is right after I said it was so bland. He just said it was all good but I stayed silent because I didn't want to lie. Right now we are driving back from Miami. My friend said not to write anything about the restaurant because he feels sympathetic to the aunty and uncle who are working so hard to make their livelihood. However I am not writing this review out of any malice. We also paid $30 and it was horrible food. I am just writing because giving 5 stars out of sympathy (or maybe payment) is really wrong because people spend their time, money, and gas to go so far to only be disappointed. I am someone addicted to good food, especially Pakistani/Indian. In my 45 years alive, including 20 years in America, I have found some great places with incredible Pakistani/Indian cooking. Lazeez and its literally home-cooked meals are absolutely the best I have had, not just in Miami. The prices are so low that you could not buy the ingredients for that price. The quality is so good, you are guaranteed to over-eat. The people are so nice you'll think you are having dinner at a friend's place. For those who are seeking ambiance, this is not the place. Humble, very simple. Try the usual staples, like samosas, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Karaahi, my favorite Nihari, or any combination you want. I have been struggling for a while to find a decent restaurant in st florida! So, last night we finally took the plunge and tried this little low profile restaurant. When we first walked in, we were not very impressed. I expected a bit more decor and comfortable seating. It's not that type of restaurant apparently. We were the only ones eating there which also kind of raised a red flag. After all, if they're so good where are the customers?? Then the food came and everything negative we were thinking was quickly washed away! We were stuffed at the end of dinner and we were not disappointed as a usual experience lately from every indian food joint. As the place was empty, when the meal was finished we just hung out and chatted with the chef. She was extremely friendly and love to talk. The only reason I haven't given the place 5 stars is because of the disappointment of the setting. Don't let that stop you from trying this great little place. But only opens after noon till night. This was my first Indian food experience and I'll say this: I'm a fan! The decor was lacking but it makes it up with service and the food. We ordered the beef samosas and Tandoori Naan for appetizers and they were delish! ask for the hot sauce because its worth it. My boyfriend ordered the #1 combo which contains Seikh Kabob and Tandoori Chicken and being the picky eater, he liked his dish! I ordered the chicken tikka masala and there's no complaint on my end. I think ill be going back just to buy the bread and make some delicious creations at home! all in all it was a great experience. This is a low-key family owned moderately priced Indian restaurant. The establishment itself is very unassuming. Its in a small strip mall with a difficult to visualize sign. The restaurant has chairs and tables that remind you of a high school cafeteria and there are minimal decorations. It is family owned and the staff are extremely nice and eager to please but definitely overwhelmed when there's more than a couple of groups at the restaurant. The food itself is quite mediocre. The meat quality is poor, the curry flavorless, and the portions small. Though it is not expensive, I do think it's overpriced considering the quality, portion size, and restaurant ambiance/location. I feel bad leaving a poor review because I love that this place is family owned and the family seems so nice and caring. We arrived at this restaurant sometime between lunch and dinner service, so the food took a bit longer to arrive, but it arrived fresh and delicious. We had Karahi chicken, Butter nan, Chicken seekh and Paratha - I would recommend each of these dishes.The customer service was great too.
