We stopped by Bawarchi Biryanis on Sunday afternoon for their all-you-can-eat brunch, and I have to say, it has improved a lot since my last visit! The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent this time around. Our waitress was wonderful and took very good care of us. She was attentive and even asked if we would like something to drink, which was a nice touch. The new young waiters were also very efficient -- they cleared the plates from the table so quickly, and the overall service felt much more organized and attentive. And of course, the food was delicious! Everything we tried was flavorful and tasty. The fried okra is one of my personal favorites, and all the curries we tried were excellent, including the paneer, shrimp, and goat curry. But the butter chicken really stood out -- definitely one of the best I've had! Another big plus is the very reasonable price for the all-you-can-eat brunch. Really enjoyed the dosas. Order a regular dosa with 65 (Indo-Chinese) style chicken, and one monster dosa (the size of our table) filled with masala potatoes. Both really nice. They also have all you can eat dosas on Thursday nights. After covid it's pretty hard to find Indian buffets anymore, something I miss not because I eat a lot, but because I get to sample a variety of dishes. Happy to report that Bawarchi Biryanis continues to offer buffet. In fact, several a week with different themes. Wed is biryani night, and Thur is dosa. We went to the Sunday lunch buffet which was totally satisfying, in all quantity, quality and variety. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is really bright and clean, and the service is nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waiters are patient in explaining things to us and quick to refill any dishes or cutlery. There is a good variety of dishes, salad, appetizers, vegetarian and meat entrees, biryani and desserts. There's even orange juice and chai. I love that they have pani puri. It's a delicious street snack that is too much work to make at home, and even if occasional Indian restaurants have it it tends to be overpriced. Here I can enjoy to my heart's content. Some of the favorite among my group of friends: the tender goat curry, the spicy wings, the creamy butter chicken, the paper-thin papadam, the comforting semiya payasam dessert. My only complain is that the naan would be softer. Be aware that a lot of the food do pack some heat, as they have many Indian customers and cater to the authentic taste. You can add some mint chutney to take off the heat a bit, and dishes like the birayni and butter chicken do not pack any heat. Yum, just writing this review makes me want to go back already. Great buffet that I'm glad exists in Miami, a city which is pretty lacking in good Indian food. A friend from work and her husband who have been here a few times took me to try the weekend buffet and it was delicious. We arrived just after opening time so the whole line up of fresh carbs, curries, biryanis, and other items were hot and ready for the picking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was pretty no frills which I really like- just get up grab your utensils and plates, and dig in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At the front are typical carbs like naan and bhatura (a puffed fried bread), and a tasty spicy sauced chicken wings that might have been a special for the day. The curry selection wasn't extensive but everything they had was tasty and well seasoned; the butter chicken was of course creamy and rich, the chicken curry was packed with flavor and a moderate spice, and the goat curry (my favorite curry at most Indian restaurants I go to) was full of meaty flavor and fall off the bone tender goat chunks. The biryanis, served in the big metal cooking containers, were cooked nicely with both meat (chicken) and veggie options to please everyone, not super savory but with a nice mild flavor that is easy to eat on its own or paired with yogurt or some other items. Dessert wasn't my favorite, between the chocolate mousse and the mango custard which seemed to be well liked but I avoided just because I'm not a fan of mango, but between those two and the soft serve ice cream maker, there was enough to satisfy everyone. To top it all off, there was a big container of complementary chai that we tried on the way out, which I learned was Irani chai made by boiling the milk until it turns rich, creamy, and a big tangy like yogurt giving the chai a nice depth of flavor. read more

I had just smelled strong curry coming out of an Indian family residence when I found this place nearby on Google. Flavorful and authentic Halal Indian restaurant! Huge menu variety with south and North Indian dishes. Many different biryani and curry options. We enjoyed the tikka dosa. Samosa chaat was really good with great spice. Mango lassi was fantastic. The lamb dum biryani came with a side of extra spicy sauce and raita (yogurt), and we thought the flavor was great with the extra spicy sauce added. Bawarchi's is an Indian chain restaurant and I've heard it's good in some cities. The decor is lackluster along with service. The prices and quantity of the food is better here than other Indian restaurants but if the food isn't the best then there's no point. The gobi manchurian was the best dish. The paneer butter masala medium spicy was oily and the paneer pieces were hard a rock that you couldn't eat much of it although quantity was great. Garlic naan was good. The podi dosa was one of the spiciest I've ever had that we couldn't eat it. They didn't have coconut chutney to go along with it. No complimentary papadum to start off with. There is no problem with Bawarchi Biryani's food. I would go as far as to say it's rather good for Miami standards of Indian food. However the service is atrocious, I've ordered from this establishment three times - only once was the food ready in a timely manner. Today I ordered online and the food was not even being prepared when I reached the restaurant, forcing me to wait an additional 40 minutes for it to be ready. The best Indian in miami. I am Indian. Everywhere else sucks in comparison. This is authentic and the closest to what I used to eat out in the mid Atlantic in all of south Miami. Difficult to find authentic Indian food for a fair price in Miami. Ordered a family biryani for take-out which is around $30 depending on the kind you order and comes with an appetizer of the chef's choice, and a dessert of the chef's choice! Feeds 2 very hungry people but enough to feed a third and/or a child. My biryani was chicken tikka for $36.99 and came with gulab jamun for dessert. Insanely delicious and flavorful! Ordered "medium" spice level as it was my first time at this location. Next time I'll bump it up to a higher spice. Regardless of spiciness, the flavor packed a punch and was definitely authentic. Reading the reviews I had very high hopes. Authentic Indian cuisine? If people believe this is authentic, they clearly haven't tried authentic Indian food before. The Butter Chicken and Lamb Vindaloo tasted and looked almost identical, the only difference being the meat; lack of depth, flavour and low quality ingredients. The Vindaloo had zero spice. This place has been on my visit list for a while & we finally got around to going....... I'm SO disappointed. The experience started with the hostess, we walked in the door & she just looked at us with a blank stare. No greeting or anything. I proceeded to say hello, I got no response. I asked for a table for 4. She just blankly responds "you can sit anywhere". Unfortunately the hostess was our server as well. When I say she was sooo unwelcoming, we felt very uncomfortable. We ordered samosas which came in about 20 minutes. We finished the samosas, 45 minutes go by and I ask the server if our food was on the way? She looked confused says okay and walks off. Another 30 minutes go by, we had to flag down another person (because our original server went missing) to ask about our food, no ever came back with an answer. We eventually tell another man that we'd like to leave & we needed our check. As the check comes they bring out the food. We were initially going to just suck it up and eat but then we only received 2 of our 3 plates. We ask about said plate & the server says "oh I'll put that in now". Like what?! We waited well over an hour for what we have now, we're not going to wait anymore. We ended up paying for the samosas and leaving. It was our table of four and one other 2 top in the whole restaurant, so they weren't busy what so ever. I genuinely don't understand nor appreciate the way we were treated. Service was good. Dosa was okay. The potato masala had no taste. The sambhar and chutney were bland. Don't know what oil they use to cook the food, it smells so bad that I had to wash my hand twice. I guess it must be cheap canola or vegetable oil. I couldn't complete the dosa because it was bad. I asked the server to give me a container to pack the samosa chat. I had no courage to try the samosa chat dish. After I left the place, I discarded the container containing samosa chat in the garbage bin along the street. I don't think they maintain the required hygiene. You will not believe one server was wearing sweat pants. Servers here dress unprofessional. And that loud music they play.
