Spicy steak - wasn't my favorite. I didn't taste the spiciness and it was quite liquidy. The chimichurri sauce did not go well with it. The sauce tasted more like Italian herb in oil rather than parsley & cilantro. Chorizo - loved it! I didn't taste the chorizo, but the melting cheddar did it. I definitely did not put the sauce on it lol Ground beef - it was decent per the boyfriend Steak Quesadilla - wasn't a big fan of it. It was very watery and didn't taste like a quesadilla Ham & Cheese - this was his favorite. Can't go wrong with ham & cheese anything! I think at this point, anything with cheese is good. Lazos is one of my go to spots for empanadas especially if I want something that's not corn based shell. It's pretty pricey for the size of the empanada but it's worth it in my book. The beef and spicy versions are very flavorful and goes well with the sauce they have. It's the right amount of saltiness and slight sweetness. I chose the spicy ground beef, spicy steak, and egg & chorizo. I was a fan of all three, and the spicy ones definitely had a kick! The Edgewater Public Market is enforcing COVID guidelines including wearing a mask and social distancing. Very rude man working here during the weekend with disappointingly poor customer service. He seemed to be hiding in the corner avoiding customers, preoccupied on his phone, while his colleague seemed to do most of the work. When I picked up my order, I grabbed a chimichurri sauce on the counter not knowing it was not free with empanadas and he accused me of stealing the $1 sauce, while his colleague was more mature and just rang me up.
