I had two empanadas - Spicy Steak and Chorizo with chimichurri sauce, and a Pellegrino, while he had Steak Quesadilla, ham & cheese, and ground beef with avo sauce and soda. Spicy steak - wasn't my favorite. I didn't taste the spiciness and it was quite liquidy. The chimichurri sauce did not go well with it. The sauce tasted more like Italian herb in oil rather than parsley & cilantro. Chorizo - loved it! I didn't taste the chorizo, but the melting cheddar did it. I definitely did not put the sauce on it lol Ground beef - it was decent per the boyfriend Steak Quesadilla - wasn't a big fan of it. Lazos is one of my go to spots for empanadas especially if I want something that's not corn based shell. It's pretty pricey for the size of the empanada but it's worth it in my book. The beef and spicy versions are very flavorful and goes well with the sauce they have. It's the right amount of saltiness and slight sweetness.
