Didn't realize they have so many locations in the Denver area... seems like this location was rated better than another location near by. We were pleasantly surprised with ramen. The noodles had a good chew, the broth is not too salty and creamy.... The toppings were delicious w good amount of spinach and menma, the poached egg runny - everyone was perfect for the ramen. I wished the pork/charsiu were sliced slightly thicker. It was nicely torch-seared. Service was decent, it is a self service restaurant for the most part, you order and they bring it to your table. The takoyaki was not freshly made but it had a crunch. The best part was their chicken karaage, such fluffy and airy coating and so nicely fried. Typically I'm used to a jammy soft boiled egg but those can be hard to make right and take more time to peel the shells. I do think the poached egg was tasty but an easy way out for a ramen shop. Def shocked that they were quite good in a strip mall, but I might have judged the book cover. Glad we chose this spot, i really like the tonkatsu. Simple and great flavor, exact type of Japanese curry i was craving; with the sauce warm and creamy and so well-seasoned, poured smoothly over fresh fried pork cutlet strips and white rice. I only wish it came with a little more sauce! My boyfriend tried the spicy combo bowl which also had generous portions and hit the spot. I want to give kudos to Asuka for delivering right on time even though we don't live that close-by. Also, the ramen stayed hot and the eggs were just cooked right. However, we're talking about poached eggs here, which were a bit disappointing since Ramen is supposed to have marinated eggs! Loved the Tonkatsu Ramen and its milky broth, makes you wonder if there was real milk in there, lol. Very flavorful and rich. The duck ramen, on the other hand, was meh. From the broth to the noodles, from the duck meat to the corn kernals, nothing "clashed" in a good way. I felt like I can have a better instant noodle experience than this duck ramen. Guys! Wow! I really enjoyed my ramen here! This is a lot for me to say because I'm reaaaalll picky when it comes to ramen. The last time I had delicious ramen was in Japan. My friend and I stopped in here for dinner. I ordered the pork belly buns to share and the spicy tonkotsu ramen. My friend ordered the duck ramen. The pork belly buns were good! Super cool that they stamp their logo onto the side of it. I've definitely had better pork belly buns but I thought that the sauce had good flavor and the pork was cooked nicely. The spicy tonkotsu ramen was spot on for me. It hits you with a little kick but not too much. I thought the broth was flavorful but not too salty. The chashu was delicious. Flavorful and melt in your mouth. I enjoyed the bamboo shoots and spinach. I thought they added a nice layer to the flavor profile of the broth. The eggs was cooked perfectly. The yolk was still soft (yay!). My friends duck ramen was a bit less flavorful but was still yummy. The duck was cooked well. Not overdone which I find happens a lot with duck. Overall I highly recommend this place. They are still a relatively new establishment so I could only see it improving from here on out. I'm so impressed with Asuka Ramen & Poke. The ramen is amazing, the staff is great, and the location is so convenient. I'm a big ramen fan, so I thought I'd check out Asuka. I had to run errands, and it was in the same shopping center, so I wanted to give it a go. So glad I did! Highly recommend the spicy miso ramen. It had just enough kick, the chicken is juicy, and the unexpected arugula and corn topped of the steaming hot bowl so well. The pork belly buns were the perfect starter to the meal. I also love that Asuka has so many options including vegetarian and vegan options (including zucchini and yam noodle options). I'm also interested in trying the poke bowls, especially since there are so many different bases. Bravo for all the awesome selections and for having so many options for different dietary needs. I was also so pleased with how quickly the food was prepared. I ordered an appetizer and 2 ramen bowls to go and it ended up being ready in 10 minutes. It was so convenient since I was in a hurry to get home. The staff was also so friendly and churned out orders quickly. I was really excited to try a new ramen place, unfortunately Asuka is just mediocre and less than authentic. The shop is small and clean. There is two places to order at the counter, a place for pole and a place for ramen. There is a small area for to go items and drinks across from the counter. I ordered the spicy creamy ramen and my friend ordered the pork Katsu curry bowl, we shared the gyoza. The ramen was extremely underwhelming with zero depth of flavor. It tasted like basic chicken broth, with spices put on top and then mixed it. Very bland dish even with copious amounts of Sriracha and chili powder. The broth was barely warm and not hot enough to continue to cook the egg so there was runny white floating all over the place that I had to scoop out. The chicken was overcooked and not seasoned at all. The curry pork was a better than the ramen. The pork was cooked nicely and tasted pretty good. The curry sauce was very average and did not look appetizing but at least it had Some flavor to it. The gyoza were mushy and needed more seasoning. The outside of them looked like they were supposed to be pan seared however there was no seared texture. Bottom line bad fish and attitude. NEVER come here! If you want ramen order from UNCLE! My friend said she wanted to eat katsu curry and spicy tuna as her recovery meal on New Years Day and said she found a place nearby. I wish she had told me it was Asuka before I agreed to go. I've had their poke before and it was rancid so I would not have agreed to go pick up if I had known. They apparently do ramen too and since I'm there I might as well try it since my friend won't wake up for like another hour. The ramen was Mediocre at best but WAY better than the poke. My spicy Tonkatsu ramen broth was salty and had almost no spice which is important to incorporate so you don't have to add a lot of chili oil that just ends up floating at the top. The chasu had almost no flavor. How you do that with pork I don't know but the poached egg was a nice touch. Still I'm a big girl that likes to eat and it wasn't worth the calories to finish the ramen. After my last experience with their fish I'd thought I'd try it before delivering to my friend. Spicy tuna nachos were revoltingly sweet being drowned in eel sauce and the fish was still not fresh. But not expired as it was before so good for them for not poisoning people. I asked the owner for a refund for the nachos and told her I couldn't eat it. After bringing in her son to translate and fighting over it a bit she did end up grudgingly giving me a refund and a lecture on how she was losing money. She wouldn't lose money if she stopped selling bad product, the tuna fish in particular which will only go up in price, and concentrated on improving the ramen! read more

I decided to let it go because, let's be honest Americans sometimes are. Five minutes later as this continued very loudly for the entire restaurant to here I decided to get up and ask for a box to leave. One of the staff members apologized, but everybody in the back just continued with the same conversation. Not an excellent look to call your single customer fat and stupid repeatedly, switch languages to continue the conversation and offer a disingenuous apology. Mainly went for the ramen since no business in this town actually knows how a real poke bowl goes together but I will try it here whenever the mood strikes. Broth is near perfect in the tonkotsu and the shoyu ramen is good but you really can't screw that up unless they use crappy shoyu. Could have done with a little more noodles in each bowl or an extra slice of char sui with the bowl price. I found out that this place is part of a chain so I can see them pushing the price a little. Shrimp tempura app is boxed but good. The real app winner is the kara age, lots of tasty chicken, lightly breaded with a unique dipping sauce that would make anything taste good. read more
