My favorite Acai bowl place in the Anaheim area! Their portions of base are quite large and the toppings are generous. Their regular Acai tends to be a bit sweet so we always opt for the less sweet and it's perfect! We always pair it with any of the other bases but mango is probably the best (I haven't had the coconut but I'm just not a fan of coconut). You can try samples of their base if you're unsure. They have lots of toppings including 3 chia puddings, 6 granola options (which you can put at the top and bottom), and fruit (I opt for all except apple). The toppings include things like nuts, seeds, nut butters (almond butter is a fave) and sweeteners. The service is fast they always have lots of people working (2-4 which is a lot for how small the shop is). Even if there's a little line it goes quick. The workers are super friendly and welcoming! There's 4 tables inside I believe but there's lot of seating outside around the shop. The inside is very simple and clean and there's always good music playing. Restrooms are shared restrooms for the downtown area but they can give you the code and they validate parking for the structure. read more

One of my new favorite açaí bowl spots in Southern California! Lazy Bird is located at Center Street Promenade so there's plenty of food places nearby and lots of parking both on the street and in parking structures. The shop itself is bright, spacious, and clean. Because of social distancing, the line begins outside of the shop and customers are asked not to enter until the employees wave them in to reduce the amount of people who are indoors at once. The employees are nice and efficient! There are three sizes to choose from and you can get as many bases and toppings as you like (and can fit!) what I really like about Lazy Bird is that they offer an açaí base that's 1/2 sweet, which I haven't seen at other places! For my bases I got the 1/2 sweet açaí, matcha, and pineapple. All three bases were super light and refreshing! I also like that they offer to layer the granola both at the bottom and in the middle so that it's evenly spread out. Their chocolate with chia seeds granola is amazing! The fruits are fresh and all they have plenty of seeds, powders, butters, and other toppings to choose from. If you're looking to stick around to eat your bowl, there's a good amount of seating outdoors. Overall this place is awesome and delicious! One of my favorite acai bowl. I would use to get it time to time every when I used to work one block away from here. It is such a great snack or sometimes it just replaces as my lunch. That is how filling acai bowl is. I love their acai flavor the most and time to time I get the pitaya flavor. Their chia pudding is amazing also. They have it warm or cold. Lazy Bird acai is definitely on par with blue bowls, there are a couple things that stood out to me on my first try here today :-) The avocado honey!! It's a sweeter and thicker honey. I had no idea what this was so I gave it a try and omg it is amazing. Reminds me of some kind of melted honey candy. Hard to describe but worth getting. The mango base!! I ordered the matcha, acai, and mango base in total. The matcha and acai were definitely good, but the mango base stood out to me for sure. Worth giving a try! They had some kind of topping, roasted ___. Believe it might have been roasted peanuts (it was roasted something for sure). You can really taste the subtle smokiness this topping provides. The maple granola!! Definitely sweet and compliments the roasted peanut topping. And I'm so glad Lazy Bird offers apple as a fruit choice! Many acai places locally don't offer that. All in all a competitive acai place, if you happen to be around the Anaheim area! My favorite is by far blue bowls but I would say Lazy Bird can compete with them. We were in the area waiting out traffic by the Anaheim Farmers Market on Saturday outside Lazy Bird and stumbled in for a sweet and healthy treat instead of some other choices we saw strolling the block. We parked on the street and are pretty picky about our açaí bowls, we love Roots & Rye in Pasadena but Lazy Bird delivered! The service was really nice even though we came in 10 mins before closing - he was friendly explaining the menu, their story and how they just opened and even talked to us about other things to do in Anaheim since we weren't familiar. Lazy Bird has great prices, we ordered the $9 medium açaí bowl with chia pudding and unlimited toppings that they were very generous with. This place is great! Bowls start at $7 for a small (12 oz) and you can pick unlimited bases and toppings. So awesome! The flavors are great and the variety they have definitely has something for everyone. Service is great and putting together bowl is rather quick! I've dined in and also ordered to-go. They also have a wide variety of toppings that all pair deliciously with the bases. My favorite pitaya and acai bowl shop. Everything is so fresh and tastes delicious. First you select a size, and what your base is. I always get half acai and half pitaya. Recently taste tested their matcha and that was really good too. Then come all the glorious toppings like seeds and fruits and granola and everything under the sun. I'm not that adventurous so I zoom past the stuff like hemp seeds and sunflower seeds and dried goji berry, for some fruit and granola and a nice scoop of peanut butter (almond and I think cashew butter is also available). And then come the powder and honey. So many types of honey! Agave is solid, as is the orange and apple honey. I need to try out the avocado honey next. Line moves quick and staff pack the bowl. What a great find by Steven! He was searching for something to eat last night and found this place. It is new and at the Center Street Promenade. We walked in and were immediately greeted. They have three sizes, and we went with the middle one at 16oz for $9! What is even better is that you get as many bases and options as you want with no extra charge. They also have a big variety of options here, more than I have seen at most. I won't remember them all, but there are a lot. They had five bases to choose from! They had acai, pitaya, coconut, pineapple, and matcha. I sampled the pineapple and went with acai and pineapple as my bases. They also have two types of chia pudding, original and matcha. I never got it before because it looked weird and did not order it when they add it normally, but changed my mind and they were kind and noticed and offered to put it towards the top. I went with the matcha chia pudding and it was delicious! Then you have like four granola options. Hemp, pumpkin, chocolate, and maple. I got all of them but the maple. They also had almond and peanut butter options to pour. I love both but sometimes it over powers the bowls so I skipped this. Then you have your fruits. I remember seeing strawberry, blueberry, banana, and apple. I went with all of them but the apple. There is also about three coconut options as well as various almond options. I went with a little bit of raw organic coconut and some toasted almonds. (They even had toasted coconut). Then you have your choices of seeds which I definitely lost track of. I remember adding chia seeds, but they had hemp and sunflower seeds as well as others. Then they have about two or three honey options (one being orange), and agave. I chose agave. The bowl was absolutely delicious and at a great price. Great customer service too. It reminded me of the famous Blue Bowl but with even more options and without an insane line. This week I've been here multiple times. If you're looking this spot up to see if it's good, I recommend you just go and buy yourself a bowl. Fruit is life & so are these bowls & you won't be disappointed. If you're a little indecisive on what bases to get or things to add they let you sample anything you are curious about upon request. I normally just get the 12oz bowl which is only $7 and some change which is more than enough since they pack your bases and toppings to the brim. Always a great energy when I come here. A good acai bowl is hard to come by and I'm super stoked to see this new establishment open! I go to the bakery next door often and when i saw that an acai bowl place was opening soon. I got so excited! We need more healthy options like this around! This week was their soft opening 30% off your purchase and I was told their grand opening will be this upcoming Sunday 8/11. I'm a huge fan of Blue Bowl out in Orange and the concept is super similar here at Lazy Bird. You get to pick your bowl size and then pile and mix and match as you please with bases, fruits, and toppings! I was a bit disappointed that I wasn't able to try their acai today. I went in around 11 am and they already ran out of acai. Will probably need to come back to try that. In the mean time, I got their Pitaya and coconut charcoal. I did try their matcha and it was alright, i liked the coconut charcoal more. I got pumpkin flax garnola, cold chia pudding, strawberries and blueberries, some raw coconut, roasted almonds, cranberries and some almond butter on top! The bowl was very filling and I got the small. I would say the texture is a little bit different than other acai bowls i've had before. It tasted more on the creamier side? taking a scoop was a bit to do with one hand since it was a pretty thick consistency. Regardless, it tasted great! Lazy Bird has indoor seating so it's a nice place to sit and chat with friends or to do work if it's not busy inside. If not, there is also outdoor seating available in the area. The BESssssssT acai place!! The girls are always nice and friendly and helpful with helping you choose your flavor and toppings. Thye have numerous bases to choose from as well as toppings. They are NEVER STINGY with their toppings, and the prices here a reasonable for the size bowls that they offer. I do wish that they would stay open till at least 7pm, as they close at 6pm. I have been to a few different places and they cannot compete with Lazy Bird, I always compare them. I have decided if I want Acai I will just come here. They are located at the Center Street Promenade in Anaheim. The street is lined with plenty of eateries to choose from. The area is very crowded and parking is limited in front of the shops. You can also park in structure nearby for a fee. I was here around the lunch hour so it was a breeze to maneuver through here. Upon arriving, you must stand in the line outside until they call you in. The interior is small and maximum capacity is two parties at a time. There was no wait when I got there. The staff is pleasant and friendly. If you're a newbie to acai bowls, it is a bit overwhelming. There are tons of options. First, select a base then your dried and fruit toppings. Feel free to go crazy since it's unlimited at no charge. Some places will charge .50 to $1.50. My usual is half acai, half pitaya base. I added: original chia pudding, strawberry, banana, pumpkin flax granola, almond honey granola, goji berry, and hemp seeds. I don't add honey, sweeteners or powders. It's more about fresh and natural. I was so impressed with their acai bowl. The bases were so smooth and not too sweet. The fruits are super fresh. They have a good variety of add ons. There are many tables outside to enjoy your healthy treat! Even after the 20-minute commute, my acai bowl was still in tact when I arrived home. So delicious!! read more
