I just had to come here for a drink and it gets the job done, but it's pretty average for a boba shop. There was barely a line when I went in so the drink didn't take long to come out either. I ordered the Sunset Strawberry Lemonade ($5.95) with boba ($0.75). It's definitely more of a gimmick with their cotton candy cloud topping, pretty colors and layering, and light bulb shaped bottles. The flavors are just syrups and they have very limited milk-free drinks. The strawberry lemonade that I got was good, it tastes like it's supposed to. A few boba pieces were harder on the inside, so the batches don't seem to be consistent. Basically this seems more of a place to get a sugar rush with sweet drinks, so it's popular with kids. I've been to Snow Monster before and really loved it, so when I saw the Mini Monster location, I was excited to stop in and grab one of their drinks. My friend and I were the only customers there, standing right at the counter, but neither of the employees acknowledged us. Most people don't mind waiting if someone simply makes eye contact and says, "We'll be right with you." Instead, we stood about three feet away for nearly seven minutes without so much as a glance or greeting. We still wanted our drinks, so we decided to wait it out. While waiting, we watched one of the employees rinse several blender cups with water only--no soap--while placing her fingers inside each one. She hadn't washed her hands beforehand. Seeing her put her dirty hands inside the cups, before they were put back on the shelf to be used again, was the last straw. I'm not a germaphobe by any means, but that crossed a line for me. Mini Monster Cafe is located in the Anaheim Packing District. Parking may be hit or miss, as there is a small parking lot outside, but it fills up rather quickly. No long line on this visit - only 2 people in front of me, but only 1 employee working. The employee was not that friendly or pleasant - a bit impatient and you could tell she did not want to be there at all. I just got my usual, their jasmine milk tea with boba. I already have a couple of their mason jars, so I opted for their lightbulb bottle this time. My drink did come out in a timely manner, but the taste of my milk tea was not the best. My milk tea tasted more bitter than sweet and it was just not good, so I could not finish it at all. read more

My all time favorite boba place. I love how you can buy a reusable jar and come back to refill it. The both reusable jars they have are so cute! One is the jar with a bear top and the second one is in the shape of a lightbulb. The taro coconut blended drink is so delicious. You can taste the sweetness of the coconut and the slight bitterness of the taro. The jobs were soft and sweet. My sister found her favorite drink it's not only good but also so pretty. The gradient of the drink is so pretty with different colors. Will be coming back here when I am in the area. read more

Mini Monster inside the Anaheim Packing District is such a treat. It's located on the second floor, right in the center of the building. They're creative with their drinks. You can add cotton candy to your drink, and some are even served in light bulb-shaped glasses. We ordered the salted latte and the matcha latte. Both were good. Friendly workers and very lovely decor! They have plushies, stickers, and shoe charms if you're interested. I'm a bit past the IG-worthy stores but still am down for nice views. The drink was good. Came here last night after getting hand rolls in the same food hall (Anaheim packing district), got a medium size jasmine milk tea with boba. For $7.25 Pros: - fast service , don't have to wait more than a few minutes for them to have your order ready - really good jasmine milk tea - not too bitter but not overly sweet either. - really chewy boba in my batch! - close to counter sitting space in the food hall if you want to chill for a bit - medium size (or large? Basically the largest size you can get without ordering a souvenir cup) is only 30 cents more than the smaller size, so you might as well. That's how they get ya. Cons: - no visible menu really until you get right up to the cashier to order (it's like embedded on the counter) , so if there's a really long time it might be helpful to look up the menu online so you're ready by the time you get to the front - boba texture inconsistency: the ones in my drink happened to be EXCELLENT, but my friend who ordered her drink maybe 30 mins prior did not have chewy boba and tasted like it was bottom of the barrel Overall, solid boba and milk tea taste, but boo for inconsistency.
