I stopped by here while on the way to visit a family friend. I absolutely adore cats, but my mother has a fear of cats so I don't get to spend much time around cats. Let me just say I had an amazing time! The staff is so friendly. The cats are adorable. The atmosphere is just so cozy and welcoming. On a scale from boomers complaining about millennials and avocados to getting the perfect winged eyeliner on the first try, THIS PLACE SURPASSES THE LATTER. 12/10. I was at the Lazy Cat Lounge yesterday when a man came in and began yelling at staff and harassing young girls. He sat next to a minor and proceeded to make her uncomfortable by asking personal questions and refusing to either go into the cafe or leave. Multiple patrons including myself asked the owner to have him leave due to his behavior. He was yelling and making the children nervous. I was very thankful for the way both management and police handled the situation. Upon looking at his public record the man had priors for similar situations and they ended up escalating. I am thankful he was politely asked to leave. read more

This place is amazing. The owners have made a space that is both relaxing and comfortable for cats and humans alike. With the overpopulation of animals in shelters, especially in this area, a place that helps amazing little creatures get adopted is a godsend. The staff were friendly and comforting, and the cats were wonderful! The space is bright and welcoming! I'm curious if the people leaving the bad reviews are referring to the man who continuously tried to flirt with the girl who even I heard from the other room was only 15. The workers were nothing but nice and polite while I was there. Unfortunately, the man didn't seem to be willing to pay as the whole time he was there he never entered the cat room, instead he sat next to the 15 year old. All I have to say is that this place is AMAZING!!! From the adorable cats to the soothing calm ambience, this place is great for kids and adults to hang around; have a great time. The cats add to the great feel of the cafe seeing them look clean and healthy making you have a slight tear in your eye from how adorable they are!! I loved it! I am sorry to the owner because of all the drama with Yelp. I don't see why they would have the nerve to delete all of your positive reviews EXCEPT for one crazy mans negative review that was filled with false information. This is a perfect lounge for cat lovers, of course! I remember seeing so many positive reviews on this yelp page, that's why I visited. Not sure where they went or if there's another page. The owner is the sweetest lady and the staff is very friendly! The whole staff is clearly dedicated to and educated about the animals which I just love seeing. Visited when I was in Lafayette a while back and it looked really cute from the outside so decided to stop in. Boy was that the RIGHT DECISION. When I heard about the concept I knew I needed to go! The staff are amazing and super friendly, they all seem genuinely happy to be there. I loved finding out more about all that they do with for the cats! The coffee was delicious and the residents (cats/kittens) are just as sweet as pie! The staff here are amazing and it's clear they love their job and the cats and are not only looking to find the cats loving homes but also provide amazing service. I've been here several times with my family and have adopted 2 of my 3 cats from here. The girl who runs this place is absolutely the nicest person ever and has such a big heart, plus the staff is just amazing as well. I live 2 hours away and wish I could drive down and see these gorgeous cats every day.
