I've been to various Lazy Dogs 4-5 times over the years. It has usually been the place for when we can't settle on somewhere while in the suburbs. It fills the role--and our stomachs--well. Status post two hours at Scheel's, we were famished but happy to see the Lazy Dog on our way out. I busted a U turn. Time to eat. The good: Duck bacon wontons offered a unique take on bacon and on wontons, with a cherry sauce so good we asked for extra to take home. Loaded tots were my favorite overall, crispy outside, tasty and mushy inside, simply done without a buffet of ingredients that don't add to the tots. The kids' cheeseburger more than satisfied my hungry youngster. I appreciate any place that pours Juicy Bits. The average: French onion soup was stocked with loads of cheese, but not much better than canned. Fries defy expectation. Yes, they are fried, but these oddly shaped potato slivers were mostly untouched after the first bite for each of us. The not-so-good: Clear understaffing kept our server busy and mostly invisible. She had tables in another room. Lazy managers? I felt for her and tipped normally, despite long waits for routine stops at our table. This Lazy Dog has done better for us. The concept's solid and execution usually makes it work well. Just not today. In writing this review, I learned that this Lazy Dog is part of a two-restaurant group, not the nationwide chain. It doesn't feel cookie-cutter here. Three star visit with four star potential.

I had my dog with me so I had to find a patio where dogs are allowed. I was at Scheels and the Lazy Dog was nearby. They took great care of my dog with a water bowl and allowed me to order an unseasoned hamburger patty for him. I ordered the chili Relleno bowl and chips, guacamole and salsa. The bowl was very good and the chili was packed with tasty cheese. My friend ordered the steak salad and a margarita. She said some of the steak was too chewy but tasted good. Both of us agreed the guacamole was good but the salsa wasn't good at all. Our waiter was awesome and although we thought the prices were high we enjoyed our meal and our visit. My dog Willy gave it two paws up.

Unorganized and rude staff. Will not be returning. Walked out before eating. Would give zero stars if possible.

I ordered the Brisket Plate as it offered both fatty and lean brisket, with two sides and a corbread muffin. The meal also came with samples of three of their BBQ sauces. For my sides I choose the baked beans and the mac & cheese. The brisket was sliced thin but it wasnt dry. It was tender and had a nice smoke flavor. The baked beans were great. They had good texture as there was a variety of beans used and they had a nice hint of sweetness. As for the mac & cheese, I would say it wasnt my favorite, but the noodles were perfectly cooked. The cornbread was tasty and sweet and was both moist and tender.

Luckily slightly different things were ordered each time. The restaurant and parking lot were busy. It is casual and popular. The wait was quite long so we ended up sitting in the bar. Our young server was very good and friendly. Nordy's in the bar was loud and bustling as you'd imagine but a fun atmosphere for lunch. We enjoyed our meals & drinks. The coleslaw with tiny noodles in it , aka as pasta slaw, was the bomb! I could have eaten more of that. The Mac & cheese was good. The corn muffin was delish. The grilled chicken salad was so tasty as was the pulled pork. I tried multiple table-side bbq sauces on the chicken and enjoyed them all except I didn't try the jalapeño one. Also, the beans are so flavorful. Really can't go wrong with the bbq here. I will definitely be back.

The bowling lanes were sticky. We couldn't glide up to the could line. Wiping the floor down didn't seem to help. Possibly it could have been our shoes. I am not sure. The laser tag was a lot of fun. The clerk was very good about answering questions. I think we all had a great time. Recommend you give it a try!!

It interrupts time with f Your family to dispute faulty games all night. I lost my card in the place that I just put $100 - bonus on. The people at the counter were nice enough to give some of it back to me. It wasn't the whole amount and also there's no way to shut off the other card so some very dishonest kid or adult Sunni g around with $100, which bothered me more than anything. Of it was a credit card, we would t be rewarding Theft, we'd be prosecuting. If I want to give $100 dollars to someone, it would be a cool someone. You go get balls from the bar to pay for it and it's $10 an hour but at the game counter the people playing next to me got it for $16 until close. How is that a thing ?! The only stats here are the under paid employees Also!!! It's March madness and every TV is set to the Discovery channel. Wtf? At least I. The pool room area have some games. I would suggest a lot of different games on each TV. Weird.
