Today was my second time at Manning's Steak and Spirits. We came back because we had such a wonderful time during our last visit. The atmosphere today was super lively and very friendly. I had their special menu burrata with peach agrodolce and roasted pine nuts, my husband had the T-bone steak with lobster mac and cheese (but I ate most of his mac ). For appetizers we had their crab dip, this was a favorite appetizer from the first time we ate here. We loved everything, food was very delicious! There was plenty of lobster in this mac and cheese. My burrata meal was incredible and it was decorated with flowers, it wasn't only tasty but it the presentation of it was excellent as well! Our waitress Jessica was very nice and very friendly! 4.5 stars. I am writing to share feedback regarding our dining experience this past Saturday night. We had a reservation for six at 8:00 PM and were pleased to find ample parking and be seated immediately. Overall, the food was excellent. We enjoyed the crab dip and the Old Fashioned, and the salads were fresh and delicious. We particularly appreciated the staff's thoughtfulness in splitting the mango salad into two bowls and offering my mother a half-portion of the wedge salad. Five of us ordered the 7 oz filets, which were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The roasted garlic poblano compound butter was a great addition, and the sides were well-prepared. My daughter's shrimp scampi was cooked correctly, though the red pepper flakes were a bit too spicy for her preference. We finished our meal with the key lime pie and the chocolate chip skillet cookie, both of which were fantastic. Finally, I want to commend our server, who was friendly, attentive, and paced the meal perfectly. We found the pricing reasonable for our group and left very satisfied. So this was an interesting place. The New York strip was not very good but the fillet was good even though it was small. I wanted to baked potato, but apparently they sold the last one just before I ordered which I think is weird. So we got the mashed potatoes and the au gratin potatoes. Au gratin potatoes had a decent flavor, but they were kind of gross looking. The mashed potatoes were so so. The asparagus was pretty decent and the crabcakes were actually good. There's not a lot of character to the place. And the waiter was friendly and enthusiastic, but like a little over the top. Almost tried to act like he was our buddy. Anyway, it's OK. It could be a lot nicer. I'd put it maybe on par with like Lucky steakhouse and places like that. So all in all I was a little disappointed. read more

Five of us went to Manning's for a birthday celebration Sunday evening. They apparently were short staffed because the main section of the dining room was closed, and everyone was crammed into a small area. We felt like we were in a school cafeteria. The food was good, but service was very slow. One thing we have always liked about Manning's is that they have large tables in a roomy area so we can all enjoy talking with each other. I have driven past Manning's several times and knew that once we had a moment to go out and get a good steak, we would. Fortunately for us, that time came on Saturday and we stopped in. I would consider Manning's to be somewhere in between a Longhorn or Outback and an 801 Chophouse or Ruth's Chris. While it is a bit more upscale and presents finer dining, it is not so upscale that there is a dress code or you question whether or not the kiddos should tag along. The lighting is low, there is beautiful wood throughout, it is more than spacious, and also presents a full patio that has a gorgeous fireplace to accompany it. Our server was sweet, attentive, and made sure we had all of the things that we needed.   We ordered: King Crab Dip, 1/2 Caesar salad, House Salad, New York Strip, Boneless Ribeye, Macaroni & Cheese, and Manning's Signature Potatoes.   King Crab Dip (10/10) - I loved the flavor on this. It was filled with crab, cheesy, and spread deliciously over the bread. I would definitely plan to share this one as the thickness and bread make it incredibly filling.   1/2 Caesar Salad (10/10) - This is my first time having a Caesar that also had tomatoes and onions in it, and I was in love. I think they added the perfect flavor to what I already consider to be a classic salad, and I was pleased. House Salad (wife ordered) 9/10 - A good take on a classic, nothing bad about it, but also nothing stood out. New York Strip with Bleu Cheese butter (8/10) - Everything about this steak was perfect, except I felt like it was a little too charred, especially for how well my internal temperature was. Overall, the Bleu Cheese Butter really set all the flavors off and made for an excellent bite. The 12oz was large, and I had a little over half to bring home with me. Boneless Ribeye (9/10) (wife ordered) w/ Truffle Butter and Red Pepper Chimichurri - I stole a few bites of this and immediately wished it was what I ordered. It was cooked to perfection and the butter really added to the overall flavor. My wife opted to do the chimichurri on the side, which I think was an excellent choice because after a while, it got to be too citrus-leaning. The ribeye was buttery and cut with ease. Macaroni and Cheese (5/10) - with such a delicious cheese mixture in the King Crab Dip, we were really hoping for a powerful mac and cheese, and this one just did not do it. Manning's Signature Potatoes (5/10) - I feel like this dish could not decide what it wanted to me; it came to me seeming more like a very cheesy mashed potato. It did need a significant amount of salt and pepper. I think overall we would definitely come back for the steak, but I would be interested to either not ordering sides or trying different ones. read more

Recently , after Church, my husband took me here for dinner. We had never eaten there since the old Marie Callender's restaurant at that location left many years ago. Located on the corner of Dry Creek and Broadway in Littleton, we were excited to eat a good steak. I was a little nervous as some reviews were great and others not so great, especially for the price point. We enjoy Fleming's in Englewood, and J. Alexander's in Centennial, but we wanted to try something new. We were seated in the bar area, but in a booth. We made our server John aware we had never eaten there before and he gave us excellent suggestions and excellent service! Big shoutout to John. We started with the crab dip which comes with toast. The dip was excellent albeit very rich. I then got a filet cooked to a perfect medium. Also, per John's recommendation I got the Gruyère mushroom sauce which was delicious. I also had the loaded baked potato as my side. My husband got the ribeye, which was also cooked to the temperature my husband wanted. Again a perfect medium. My husband had the chimichurri sauce for his steak, and he said the sauce was the best he'd ever had in a restaurant. John went above and beyond for my husband. My husband really wanted broccoli with his steak, but it wasn't on the menu. My husband politely asked John if they had any, and John had the kitchen prepare it for him, even with a side of lemon butter, and even some fresh lemons to squeeze on the broccoli! Perfect customer service experience! I'm baffled at some of the reviews stating bad customer service and bad food, maybe they came on an off night? I have eaten at the Littleton location a few times and food has been good. I stopped by this past Saturday and ordered a filet and baked potato. The filet was one of the toughest steaks I've ever eaten and it was overcooked. The potato was cold - the butter wouldn't even melt. On a positive note, the dessert was delish. I've heard the hype around this place for years. So, when I discovered a location in Littleton had arrived, I jumped at the opportunity to make reservations for my dad's birthday! SPACE: Located off Broadway, Mannings is easy to spot, has ample parking and offers one killer patio! We opted to sit inside, being that it was a Colorado spring evening. There are two dining room areas and a bar - all of which was packed (at the 6PM hour) - so trust me when I say reservations are necessary. Our party was seated in the side dining room - mainly for larger parties - and happily had views of the tv (playoff season) and yet, had our own little space to enjoy. SIPS: The menu offers a variety of beer, wine, cocktails and mocktails! While some opted for wine and whiskey, I chose to sip on the NA Aperol Spritz (spritz summer anyone?) and although it tasted differently than I expected, it was refreshing and hit the spot. SERVICE: Despite having a few larger tables, our server was kind, helpful and served us with ease. He provided great recommendations, comments and made our interaction fun. SUSTENANCE: Known for their steaks, Manning's has a great selection. Also offered is a variety of seafood, pasta and starters that can serve as meals as well. I decided on the salmon Florentine - which featured a wide variety of veggies and risotto, which was delicious. The salmon was cooked to perfection and every bite tasted so fresh. Most guests ordered steaks, which came with potatoes and veggies, all of which were good as well. The steaks were a little overcooked to our liking, but still tasted good. My sister opted for the mussels, which she stated was rich yet flavorless and not to her liking. I swapped meals with her and happily ate the mussels, as to me, they were delicious! I will knock a start of for the building's sound. Our side room carried the sounds from the bar bounced to every table in the area, making it almost impossible to hear each other at the table. We found ourselves shouting and being a little quiet to counteract the noise level. Just an FYI. I'd like to preface that we did go on a busy evening and the kitchen was backed up. However, our drinks were great to start! We had the manning old fashion and a glass of wine. We decided to go with the spinach and artichoke dip for our appetizer and it was not impressive. The toast it came with was soft and soggy, and the dip itself lacked strong flavor. We both ordered the filets, mine was slightly above room temperature when we got our food, and my spouses was medium rare although we both ordered medium. For sides the Cesar salad was very good, the Manning's signature potatoes were very rich, the orzo side was a bit bland. My spouse had a side of scallops that were a tad overcooked but honestly we'd rather be safe than sorry. I will say it was VERY loud. My husband and I dined there last night. We'd made a reservation for bar seating since there was no dining room reservations for our preferred time. That was my fault for not planning ahead. I was very glad I made that as people seemed to be waiting quite a bit to be seated. We were seated immediately. The bar seating is quite loud but in an open restaurant like this, my guess is most seating is loud. My husband is hard of hearing so it was difficult for him at times. Our server was super attentive but they seemed to be low on servers so the service was slow at times. We had multiple people checking on us though and all were great! We started with the beer cheese dip which was quite good. My husband had a boneless sirloin which was cooked medium rare and perfectly to his liking. I had the filet, medium well. There was no pink whatsoever; so cooked more well done. It was seasoned well but just a little too done for me. Portions are small imo. The food was delish and we will go back and probably order a salad to go along with the main dish or another appetizer. We did take a dessert to go. We had kids at home and needed to get back. It was pretty small compared to the desserts we saw being delivered to tables but it was good! We got the peanut butter pie, which is more like a cheesecake consistency. It's the same price as a slice of cheesecake from the cheesecake factory but only like 1/2 of the size. Kind of a bummer for sure! Visited Manning's for dinner. Reminder of how tough it is to compete against mainstream steakhouses. Debated Perry's, J. Alexander's and other mainstays but opted to try Manning's - drive by all the time, looks nice, wanted to give it a try! Environment is nice overall with an upscale sports bar feel. It was Saturday night and they weren't really that busy. Ordered king crab dip appetizer. It was good but a bit greasy. I had a martini, wife a glass of red wine. They have a pretty extensive wine list with some great options. The whiskey list is also extensive. For some reason our drinks took a while to come out - our appetizer arrived before our drinks which isn't great. Entrees included the Gorgonzola Steak Pasta and T-Bone steak w/asparagus and blue cheese compound butter. Steak was overcooked and pretty thin - ordered rare/medium rare and definitely came out medium. The compound butter was good and asparagus was also good. The pasta was good too - the portion size was pretty wild - way too much pasta. It would be better if the steak tips weren't mixed into the pasta - but that's kind of personal preferences. Overall the experience left us wanting more and generally feeling we should have just gone with what we know. Littleton has just released one of the better steak houses in the area. Breaking from the other high cost establishments, offering affordable dining for the middle class. Located in the old Marie Claire building has been tastefully redone in the rich wood concept of competitors in the area. We visited on a Sunday afternoon to an almost empty dining room. Service was prompt and knowledgeable about informing us that they have a butcher IN-HOUSE. We had a couple filets at our tables and want to let you know that they were great! 5 star service will cook your meat to a desired temperature which is the only misstep from this team. Ordered a medium-rare which came out medium; however, the crust on this steak is a rarity and makes me believe that they are hanging their steaks like the other high cost establishments. People were nice and accommodating even for my PIA sister who desires silver spoon dining. People of Littleton need to support this place unless you want to be inundated by mediocre, chain places. read more

Visited when it first opened and this was our 4th time hoping they would get dialed in since. Reluctant to say you can tell ownership wants that high end feel but they are far from it. Menu has changed and not for the better. One bartender in while the shift manager or manager sits in the back and doesn't help. Who has a 900$ bottle of wine on there menu and gives you Chuck's cheese service. Felt bad for the bartender especially on a Friday afternoon while the other staff waiting to start their shift stand around and flap their gums. Step it up!!! Won't be back. Disappointed there isn't a good steakhouse down south here. I'll just keep driving over to the tech center. Not gonna last with the food, prices and experience being sub par.
