Lazy Oaks hosted one of my company's post work social events. They reserved us a few tables and prepared food for us that was actually surprisingly good. We were all expecting bar food quality but everything was really good especially the chicken tacos and fruit salad. Major, major props on them for killing the hosting of our event. The bar is decently sized especially when you factor the inside portion and outside portion. However the bathrooms are tiny with only 1 urinal and 1 stall. There was constantly a line when we visited even on a Thursday night. Parking is also very limited. The lot is very small and does not fit many cars. If you're looking for a chill place to hang and grab a beer or two with some friends and watch sports either inside or outside, this will definitely be your kind of place.

This little oasis is in the Spring Branch area, and it's a fun vibe for a happy hour or just to unwind after work on on the weekend The food is actually pretty good for a bar, and the beer/alcohol list has many offerings. You can order online through your phone using a QR code connecting to a table number, or you can order at the bar There is plenty of indoor and patio seating. There is some parking out front, but you might end up parking in the residential area Some tips: Don't park at the businesses across the street. I've heard they are known to tow vehicles. If you're into pub trivia then you should show up on Wednesdays at 7pm to test your knowledge and win money to the bar. Cheers!!

I came here for the crispy chicken flautas and it did not disappoint. There's three good sized flautas topped with pickled onion and cotija cheese, side of salsa verde and queso for $9. It is a comfy spot to hang out and family friendly.

A real gem in the Spring Branch/Memorial area. Came here for the third time with Karen and Debjani (after our plans to eat $1 wings at Pluckers was derailed due to the 4 hour wait). Lazy Oaks is a place where adults and kids can hang out, but doesn't wear the label of being family friendly too hard that it turns away people from all walks of life. If anything, the food and service makes the term family more inclusive, if family to you means knocking back vodka waters and long iced teas with your girls after a long day of work and having some really good and affordable bites while yapping. Lazy Oaks really sets those vibes.

As a quintessential neighborhood bar in Spring Branch, I could see many reasons why I'd be at Lazy Oaks Beer Garden often. Many of those reasons include a relaxed ambiance, a versatile space, affordable drinks, and no-nonsense service. All of those things make me wish I lived in the area. It might not look like much from the outside, but the place has a lot going on for it. The divey charm here lends itself to the old school, nostalgic vibe that some folks tend to want. The outdoor seating is extensive and is an ideal place for groups that want to drink outside. The patio makes the place pet friendly and kid friendly, which practically means families should enjoy their time here as well. Most of their drinks are under $10, which includes their selection of beers and cocktails. I enjoy the extensive beer taps, decent ventilation, and friendly bartenders. Their food selection includes sandwiches, tacos, wings, salads, and comfort foods, such as mac and cheese, truffle fries, and fried brussel sprouts. Parking can get a little tight, so I'd consider their dedicated lot or parking across the street. It can be crowded on the weekends, but generally the place is very carefree with plenty of breathing room.

The music is so hardcore and awful. It's not family friendly even though it's supposed to be. Staff isn't the friendliest. Great drink selection and food selection. Fairly clean and nice if you can handle the staff's music selection. Could be better but overall fine.

I've finally come to find out why this local dive is continuously packed. This family friendly Beer Garden has an plenty of food options and local brewery staples to keep all of the family satisfied. Lots of outdoor seating that's dog friendly too. Plenty of TV's to watch the game, whatever it might be. Walkable to everyone who lives in the neighborhood and a decent bit of parking for all but those super busy days. The food itself is done well. I'm not gonna say it was surprisingly good, but it really does hit all the marks I expected. Nothing is too oily or greasy, fries are crisp. Sauces are yummy and they have enough different options that are good. Beers and drinks are super well priced. I didn't feel like I was getting gouged at all. Cocktails are all $9 or under which feels like a throwback at this point. The true MVP for me though was the ordering system, which is done on the phone entirely. Scan the QR code on the table and you can keep a running tab of food and drinks that all get brought out to your table whenever you place an order. This made things so simple, no tracking down a waiter or having to wrestle your way to the bar to get more beer. You don't have to leave your kids outside unattended or miss a second of baseball on the TV. Super convenient and affordable, as well has having Immaculate Vibez.

always wanted to check this place out so me and my partner just had to! we popped in last night around 9pm and left right before closing. its really convenient that they have QR codes you can scan on the outside seating and also keep the tab open. i wish i took more pictures but its a really nice vibe, multiple tvs even outside and pretty lights hanging from the trees out there. there was live music being played inside Friday night. We had the shaved Brussel salad, wings (espresso BBQ, Thai curry, and regular buffalo.) also got the poblano rings with jalapeño ranch because that sounded way more interesting than regular onion rings. the food was great we were pleasantly surprised! also the service was pretty fast, i got a long point spicy Paloma and we ended up getting a few Jameson + cokes. quick service and a super chill vibe, they're pet friendly too. nice place to go to for just a drink/ a small bite, or to stay all night :) will definitely be back!

The perfect neighborhood bar! Great prices and the food is excellent. You walk in and select your seat, no reserved seating. On Wednesday nights they host trivia. There is plenty of parking and both indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely worth checking this place out!

Lazy Oaks is a cute little neighborhood bar tucked away in a subdivision off Gessner. They have a super cozy and relaxed atmosphere. This used to be a tiny convenient store years ago, run by an older gentleman. It's always strange going into a place after a remodel like this. They did a terrific job. They have a nice sized patio directly off the main interior. The garage It is shaded well with plenty of seating. Lazy Oaks is dog friendly, so take your pooch out for a good time too. The inside bar top is a nice size to seat you and your friends. The service is always great! I love the friendliness of all the staff. In the 4 times I have been here, I have not ever tried the food, but it looks good. Say hello to the resident cats when you stop by. They are a little timid, but very sweet.

I told him I had just spoken to someone yesterday, and he "you have wrong information, there's no way we can do reservations with this many people - you probably called the corporate office (it's the number listed on their website so that made no sense)" and was very dismissive of me and not apologetic whatsoever. It's totally understandable that reservations wouldn't be possible on a World Cup day. Seems like the staff are not all on the same page, or I was misled to just get my group into the bar (which has happened at other bars during the tournament so it's not unheard of). Had to take my three nieces elsewhere at the last minute and don't imagine I'll be returning after that experience.

The indoor bar area is massive, and the patio is just as big, making it great for large groups or events. It definitely has that laid-back, social vibe, and it's also dog-friendly, which is a nice touch. Customer service was good, and the drink prices were reasonable, especially for a place of this size and popularity. It did get pretty crowded, which adds to the energy if you're going for that kind of atmosphere. There isn't a full kitchen, but there was a food truck on-site (I believe it was Hearsay). It was okay--not bad, but nothing standout. You can also bring in outside food or order from nearby spots, which is convenient. Nothing super fancy or over-the-top, but if you're looking for a casual place to hang out, watch a game, and enjoy drinks with a group, this gets the job done.
