Very fun speakeasy with quality drinks! I went this past weekend there was a cover charge of $25 fairly easy to book through Open Table. Has the concept of a traditional speakeasy where we were lead to the entrance way by staff once retrieving special code. I loved how dimly lit and cozy it was on the inside. Very beautiful decor. The jazz singer for the night was pretty fun. She incorporated crowd participation but not too rowdy inside so still maintained the element of class. I ordered an expresso martini (forgot to take a pic) and whiskey sour (beautiful presentation). My bf ordered old fashions which were verryy strong (as they typically are) but still a good, quality cocktail. There are also light bite options as well. I would definitely recommend checking out sidebar for a date night, girls night out or pregame like activity before a night out in the city.

Rude! You spend over $1,000 at credence restaurant and they say they have zero room for four people. You have now lost all our business.

We ordered a few items to share and enjoyed a few glasses of wine while catching up. Our waiter recommended the Albert Bicho Pinot Noir and it was really good. We shared the signature board, crispy calamari, and crab cake. We weren't a fan of the green olives but loved everything else. The calamari was a bit over fried but we loved the remoulade sauce it was served with. I enjoyed the crab cake there was plenty of crab meat. As the night went on the place began to fill and the ladies who came in for the live performance liven up the warm space and really set the vibes as did a version of Sade. This is a cute spot for date night or just catching up in the Memorial City center area.

The entire experience was a delight! The bar does give intimate vibes but it's great for groups or a GNO or even a date! They also offer grab-n-go bouquets, and a mini fridge that offers other beverages and snacks to go!

We really wanted the baked oysters, but only got to get the fried. The fried oysters were not my favorite. They were more batter than anything. The ravioli and salad was to die for the salad had poblano in it and avocado, so it had a hint of spice and corn. The ravioli was ricotta filled so they have four pieces and eight pieces. The eight pieces really filled me up, but every bite was so savory with the sauce.. It was a sweet sauce, and I would order that again I wanted a lychee martini, but they ran out so I got a cucumber instead. Make reservation reservations and there is complementary valet! Romantic ambience for date night or family dinners. There were plenty of families having dinner on Sunday night there. The service was great. I don't remember our girl waitresses name, but she was fabulous and explained everything to us apologize for not having the baked oysters.

The grilled summer squash was cooked well, and I could tell based on texture and crunch. The mojo verde sauce vizcaina had some smokiness to it, but it was sweet. Favorite thing about this dish was the flavorful crust of the fish that shined through. The presentation was good with the microgreens, coriander, and onions adding color. Overall, thought this dish was good, but it didn't wow me. Dessert was AMAZING!! The dessert was a chocolate entremet (flourless biscuit, raspberry, guayaquil mousse). The guayaquil mousse uses Cacao Barry Extra-Bitter Guayaquil 64% couvetere dark chocolate. The raspberry sorbet had a tartness to it and the presentation was enhanced by the crushed up chocolate under it. It was balanced with the mousse that was sweet but not overly sweet because of the cacao. The flourless biscuit was moist, reminding of a delicious chocolate cake. Two coffee molds were placed delicately leaning on the side and on top of the dessert. There were dried raspberry pieces on the dessert as well, adding hints of tartness if you taste it by itself but subtly hidden if you taste the dessert together. Excellent dessert, my regards to the pastry chef Daniela. Best part of the menu and this is what carried the 5-star review. Parking: Complimentary Valet

The décor, wine list, menu, comfortable seating, and cozy atmosphere make it such a special spot. They offer wines for every taste and budget, and the staff is knowledgeable when asked for recommendations. That's why this is difficult for me to write. Despite visiting frequently, I've consistently found the customer service to be unwelcoming. The service has a strange tone, and it isn't limited to one employee they all seem to share the same indifferent, slightly annoyed demeanor. The experience feels less like genuine hospitality and more like, "You're here what can I get you?" On my most recent visit, others in my group noticed and commented on the same thing without any prompting from me. Since they had never been before, it confirmed that it wasn't just my perception. One small interaction captured the overall tone. We asked whether they happened to have a birthday candle, and an employee responded in an annoyed tone by pointing to the candle on our table which, realistically, no one would put on a birthday dessert. We completely understood that they might not have one; it wasn't an unreasonable expectation or request. A simple, friendly response like, "Unfortunately, we don't, but we do have some delicious desserts," would have been perfectly fine. It wasn't the answer that bothered us. it was the way we were made to feel for asking. It may seem like a small interaction, but great hospitality is built on small moments. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and inviting, but unfortunately, the service doesn't reflect that same feeling. People return to places where they feel welcomed and appreciated, especially in a city like Houston with so many wonderful food and wine options. I genuinely want The Library to thrive because it has everything else it needs to remain a true neighborhood favorite.

The inside seating is nice and cozy with good music and the patio/rooftop is very nice. The cocktail menu has some variation for most palettes and are all reasonably priced. I ordered the Roma which was very good. The bubbles from the kombucha give it a nice subtle effervescence. The spiced rum and blood orange mesh very well together making for a great drink. My friend ordered the Lavender Cucumber Collin's. This drink didn't really put the lavender on the forefront which lead to it getting lost by the cucumber, same for the crème de violets, absent. The drink was overall refreshing and tasty to her standards. She let me know it was quite strong also, which she prefers. She also ordered the kale Caesar and really enjoyed it. It was perfectly sauced to her liking. Service was okay. Looks like there was only 2 people working for a midday shift around 2 o clock. But no complaints. Salad and drinks came out pretty quickly. The place was pretty empty, definitely looks like I could hold a nice little crowd. Overall a solid 4 stars and warrants a repeat visit so I can try out the food and appetizers.
