My notoriously picky son who was not here with us seven years ago loved the pizza so much that he told us that he wants to live here in the restaurant (and I'm not convinced that he's kidding). I don't know if this is still the case, but if you order a slice to go, they don't let you sit outside and eat it at one of their tables, even if they're not crowded. For a while they had some cheesy (no pun intended) hand written signs telling you not to sit at the tables. It said outside seating is for customers only or something like that. And it was unclear that meant outside tables are for full service dining only. I can see if people were waiting to be seated or you were trying to eat food from another restaurant there. It seemed weird to get chased away for being their customer. If you're getting a slice to go you hopefully would be there 15-20 minutes at most. It was so off-putting I have to include it in the review even though it happened a while ago. Just set your expectations...pizza is 5 stars, service is 3-4 stars, cost 3 stars.

Seating a guest is the most basic function of a restaurant, and I was told three different things by three different people. I ended up at the bar, which wasn't gross, but wasn't clean either. Small menu, long waits, and at $90 for one person you expect something closer to a fine experience -- not a rowdy pub with poor service. And that falls on management, not the staff.
