Zoom Drain - Zoom Drain ZOOM-JET hydro scrubbing inside of drain pipe.

    Zoom Drain

We called Zoom Drain and were told that someone could come out that evening. We asked if this was an after hours call and they said no. Kyle came and looked at the issue and gave us a quote. We approved the proposed work and Kyle took care of the problem. Kyle was professional and courteous and did a wonderful job!

I wish I went to Zoom Drain first! You should to save time and money. I know who I will call going…read moreforward. I used another business before for something else, while they were good and had 24/7 availability, they charge $95 just to come out. Zoom Drain offered to come out and look at my yard pipe (there was water build up from all this rain and it just seemed a bit clogged) without any charges. And it looks like I'm just at the cusp of their service so I'm super glad I found them. So with my pipe, with all the rain there was some water build up. It didn't seem too bad so I went with the cheapest quote (should have known better) since I figured it's just to snake the drain/pipe. As soon as that other person/business came out, it went from $93 to $250... then they told me they couldn't do it, and I had to hydro jet for about 3 times more the cost than Zoom Drain! Or to replace my pipes altogether for $8000!!!!!!! Given they had very little review I wanted a second opinion and additional quotes. I know Zoom Drain would come out free of charge so I immediately contacted them and they came out the same day! Literally just a couple of hours after I contacted them. Maurice came out and he was professional, patient, just super duper nice. He explained why there was water build up and how it's normal! Basically my drain for my yard pipes is just too high up on my front yard, and places like San Francisco even drill holes into the sidewalk to drain. But as long as I'm not flooded anywhere, there's no issue. He checked everything and even if I needed to hydro jet it was about 1/3 of the cost the other place quoted me! He didn't even offer to snake my drain since the other business tried but "failed" and told me I needed to replace my pipes... *insert side eye emoji right here* I did end up asking Maurice to run diagnostics, he tested all my drains and everything was working normally. And that's it. Saved myself a whole bunch of money. Would have saved myself a lot of time/stress too if I just went to them in the first place. Lesson learned. All I can say to Zoom Drain is: thank you thank you thank you! And a big thanks to Maurice!

I just couldn't believe it would be that much. I knew it would cost $49 dollars just to get him here to give me an estimate. So I refused. Without hesitation he lowered the price to $290. That was still a lot, but I agreed. I will say the man worked hard with an electric snake for a good hour. He fixed the problem. Unfortunately, I feel manipulated. I can only imagine that some people might fall for this bad business practice. Maybe this will help them when choose a plumbing service.

***Fraud complaint filed with credit company, California Attorney General, Rob Bonta, Paradise…read moreRidge Chamber of Commerce, with legal action pending*** I hired Attaboy Plumbing to address a clogged sink. Unfortunately, the experience didn't meet expectations. The technician required me to choose between three costly service options before examining the issue--a practice that felt unnecessarily pressured. Despite charging double the typical rate, they were unable to resolve the clog; the technician reported that his equipment malfunctioned during the attempt. They then quoted $4,000 for what they estimated as a few hours' repair that would be done by the end of the day. He didn't have a working drain snake, but he did have the ABS parts (inexpensive) to complete a full drain replacement at more than $1000 an hour. I sought a second opinion the same day from another professional plumbing company. The second company successfully cleared the drain for $328.72, including preventive treatment. They documented that the previous work hadn't addressed the actual problem and provided photographic proof of such with our receipt. UPDATE: I got the same "call me" from Michael T. Don't want to be cursed at again and already moving forward legally.

BEWARE! BeastBay almost blew my house up!…read more Another thing to note, if you are considering doing business with them, is that they have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau due to 2 other complaints they did not respond to. I had used BeastBay Plumbing once before when we had a drain problem. They were responsive, and the tech was friendly and informative. He fixed the problem, and we signed up for their loyalty program. I knew our water heater was nearing the end of its lifespan, and I called them to get a quote. Sydney came out and explained the options. I ended up going for the tankless water heater. I also got quotes to replace a kitchen faucet and install a new shower fixture. The techs who showed up were courteous, but they arrived a couple of hours later than I had expected. I anticipated the faucet and shower fixture jobs to go fairly quickly, but they took almost two hours. Then they started work on the water heater. What Sydney hadn't discussed was the need for direct power to the tankless system or a new vent. The tech wanted to open the ceiling up, but as it's a two-story house with a tile roof, that was a hard no. They ended up doing a vent through the side of the house. At first, they said it would be a two-day job, which wasn't mentioned when I booked, but after getting the side vent in, they said they'd finish that day. Here is where things go very, very badly. The next day, I went into the garage to move a car. I was overwhelmed by the smell of gas. I called BeastBay, and the phone center told me to call 911, which I did. In the meantime, I opened the garage door. I realized after I hit the button that, should anything spark, the whole place could go up. Thankfully, it didn't. The fire department came out, pinpointed that BeatBay had not tightened the gas connection to the tankless unit and turned it off. Then began a 2+ hour marathon of calls to BeastBay to get someone out immediately. Except they didn't. I had to call the office 4 times and then had 3 separate conversations with them. In the meantime, Sydney came back out to see what was up. I explained the severity of the gas leak and told him I wasn't happy he hadn't mentioned needing direct power or the need to re-vent from the previous water heater. Sydney indicated there would be a small rebate, and they would service the unit going forward free of charge. The tech showed up, apologized for not securing the gas line, tightened it up, and left. This was a week and a half ago. I heard nothing more from BeastBay. I called the office on Wednesday and asked that they memorialize what Sydney had said during our meeting in writing. The woman who answered, Sarah?, said she'd have to check with Sydney, in a tone that said she didn't believe he had offered anything. She came back and said that was correct, and she'd send it over by email. Nothing was forthcoming. I've called the office twice today, twice no one answered, and the third time it went to a general voicemail. I received a phone call 2 + weeks after the incident. The woman I spoke to apologized, but assumed everything was fine. I explained how VERY unhappy I was with both the work they did and their lack of responsiveness. She said she would talk to the owner and get back to me yesterday or today. No call. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. To say I'm disappointed in the service is an understatement. This is a massive failure on every front.
