LBC Vets is the best vet I have taken my pug to in Long Beach. Dr. Kessler, Drew and the team provide a compassionate and thoughtful experience to both me and my pug daughter, Nita. There are some chronic issues we've been dealing with, and this is the best place for Nita to go. I appreciate the confidence that Dr. Kessler has in treating Nita here, rather than being told to go see a specialist and run expensive diagnostics. They look out for my budget, are transparent with pricing, and I feel that they genuinely care. The later/ weekend hours are great, scheduling and communication are a breeze. I took my dog Cooper to LBC Vet on Sunday morning because he had very bad diarrhea. The veterinary clinic opened about 3-4 weeks ago and is super convenient for me as it's just a 5-minute drive from my place. What's more, they're open on Sundays which is really helpful. The place is very clean and well-organized, and the staff are nice and friendly. Doctor Kessler took care of Cooper that day, and I am so impressed that I will teach Cooper how to say "Thank you" for his next visit. I also met Drew and he is great! This morning, we were faced with a distressing situation as poor Mr. Eli began experiencing severe diarrhea, vomiting, and coughing up mucus. Oh have two of my most precious fur babies and my youngest 1 year old puppy Daisy wellness check was great. My 12 year old Duke was suffering from a skin condition and the team at LBC vets were so nice and affectionate to both of my dogs. I've been to many places but these two are true animal lovers. Not like sone of the other vets I have been to. You can truly feel the love that they give to each and every one of their furry patients. These guys had an appointment for me on a Sunday for follow up bloodwork after xylitol poisoning emergency vet visits the night before. Dr. Munoz was incredible. She listened and took the time and was empathetic to my disaster situation. What I loved most was that as when we were at Access they needed to charge me an extra $200 to sedate my little boy for his blood work. These guys got it without sedation. I feel ripped off by Access and I feel empathy and confidence from LBC Vets. Thank you for being dedicated to your profession. Thank you for being fair. I am really impressed with the service I received at LBC Vets. I brought in my sisters senior dog Bambi who had really bad allergies and dry eye. The vet and her staff were very nice and polite. They gave Bambi and ointment for his eyes and it cleared up his dry eye very quickly. They also gave him an allergy shot and he has been so much better. Happy to report that Bambi is healthy and back to their old self again. read more

We had the opportunity to visit LBC Vets twice and have our dog seen by Dr. Kessler. In both instances she was very thorough in explaining to us and she treated our dog with kindness. Unfortunately we lost our dog while she was receiving emergency care there. They allowed us to stay with her all the time while she was in her last moments, they gave us space to process and treated us with compassion. Great Veterinary Care I had to come in as urgent care because my sweet boy Chip was having seizures. They were one of a couple places in Long Beach that had walk ins for a Sunday. They took my information really quick in the front and then took chip.(I'm sorry I didn't get the front desk reps names :( but the woman with long black hair and the guy with cool glasses were great!). Dr. Kessler came out and was pretty straightforward with questions and what she wanted to do. We got estimates within 30/45 minutes and the tech we spoke to was very nice and funny guy also. We even got to go in the back to see chip before we left him for the day. We thought because the clinic is so nice it was going to be an arm and a leg but everything from hospitalization, meds to go home, catheter & injections were under $1000 which is good for urgent care. They also have a pharmacy online. I was so scared I was gonna lose chip yesterday but I'm really glad we found this place. They even texted me the next morning asking how he was doing. Highly recommend LBC Vets! My dog Oliver and I just had his first vet check up here, and this is by far the best customer service of a vet in the area. We walked in and I was offered water, coffee, or a soda - and then we were taken to the exam room right away! The vet tech came in a minute later, and the Vet shortly after that. The full exam plus vaccines only took 36 minutes! But the vet still took as much time as we needed to get my questions answered and performed a very good physical exam on my very anxious dog (who can be aggressive due to fear). The vet eased some concerns I had about some issues with Oliver, and advised some preventative treatments we can do for the future. This will be our regular vet moving forward and I've already recommended them to other friends/family. read more

On Labor Day weekend we could see our beloved dog, Pepper was significantly declining after months of decline and weight loss. LBC Vets was one of two vets open. They are an urgent care as well as a clinic. They euthanized Pepper with great kindness. LBC Vets is amazing. I don't have much free time so it requires a lot of coordination to get care for my dog during the week. I noticed my dog had what looked like another mast cell tumor. I called LBC vets this morning and they were able to get him right away and remove his tumor under sedation instead of general anesthesia, which is a huge plus, because he's already been under three times this year for cancer operations. I'm so grateful they provide excellent weekend care and the price was under $1,500 to get him in for everything. Included in that cost was an ultrasound, which gave me the information I needed to understand my dog won't be with me much longer due to a vascular tumor on his spleen, but I really appreciate how kind and helpful the doctor was when she let me know what was happening with him. She thoroughly explained what to look for so I can make sure to keep him feeling as comfortable as possible for the rest of his life. The staff is very friendly and I love that this is a local business that is actually owned and operated by a couple who genuinely care about their business in contrast to most vet offices that are owned by some giant conglomerate and are strictly in it for the business. I'm switching my pet here for all future vet needs. read more

We had an urgent situation with our boy. We called to see if we could just walk in and get the run down of how theor Urgent Service works. Went in, front office staff amazing! We waited less than I would expect as a walk in. Got us in a room, intake with nurse was thorough and she was so kind. Vet came in, very knowledgeable, easy to talk with. Every single person we encountered wotking here today showed compassion and were friendly. So refreshing! My little shitzu was brutally attacked by my large dog - after three years of being best buds. This was at 9:30 pm and although LBc was due to close at 10pm, they kindly told me to bring Ozzie in right away. She had to have surgery and unfortunately, Ozzie lost an eye but they patched her up and I was able to take her home the next morning. When I returned today for followup on one of the recommended treatments, it was entirely otherwise. We love LBC Vets! Very clean and very friendly. I truly appreciate all the care they give our pup. I also appreciate that they are honest. Our pup can be timid at the vet so they let us come into the back room with her to get her weight. I also took my pup in when she was about 2.5 years old and asked for a dental cleaning - I had read online that they may need these after they turn 2 so I just wanted to ask. The vet was so honest about her not needing a dental cleaning (she chews on toys a lot and gets her teeth brushed regularly so her teeth do look clean). This made me feel like they truly cared about our pup. They mentioned not wanting to put her under unnecessarily. Also, made us feel like they didn't want us to incur an unnecessary vet bills. The best experience I've ever had at a vet. I went in with my senior dog who was on his "way out" because of him chewing on his leg and I wanted to be proactive before it became infected. We found out he had severe bone cancer and because of his age, if we were to amputate it, his quality of life would severely decline for the remaining short amount of time we would have him. We needed up making the decision to put him to sleep. I am so incredibly impressed by the entire staff. They are professional, empathetic, and attentive. I saw them not only interact with me and other customers and the same superior customer service was across the board. We decided to privately cremate Kilo which took about two weeks to receive his ashes. Their attention to detail and thoughtfulness was so special and greatly appreciated. Even sending a condolence handwritten card after was beautiful. Thank you so much for making this difficult time easier and a safe, calm space. I know it not only made things comfortable for me and my mom but also kilo which is who ultimately matters. Looks like we finally found a great vet in our area! I can't say enough good things about this vet. Dr. Munoz truly puts the well-being of the animals first and genuinely cares about every patient. I brought my dog in on a Sunday after a previous vet couldn't figure out what was wrong with her. Dr. Munoz listened carefully to the symptoms I described made a quick and accurate diagnosis and confirmed it with X-rays. I could tear up just writing this review... what an incredible vet clinic. I've had cats my whole life, seen plenty of vets but by far this vet clinic stands out (DO NOT GO TO Long Beach Animal Emergency Hospital on PCH worst care for your fur babies). I tend to be the annoying person owner who calls many times to ask for updates and ask questions (if y'all read this it's the crazy concerned owner of MARU the dehydrated tuxedo that came in at 9 pm with her partner who has a gnarly mullet). They didn't make me feel like I was to much, answered my questions, and were always friendly on the phone and in person. A lot of vet clinics forget that kindness especially in scary situations goes along way (kindness to your pet and to the owner). I felt extremely comfortable and comforted here. Dr. Kessler is rad and I hope she stays a vet for a long time because I don't want to take my pets to see anyone one else ( the whole staff here is exceptional).
