My 12 year old Duke was suffering from a skin condition and the team at LBC vets were so nice and affectionate to both of my dogs. I've been to many places but these two are true animal lovers. LBC Vets is amazing. I don't have much free time so it requires a lot of coordination to get care for my dog during the week. I noticed my dog had what looked like another mast cell tumor. I called LBC vets this morning and they were able to get him right away and remove his tumor under sedation instead of general anesthesia, which is a huge plus, because he's already been under three times this year for cancer operations. I'm so grateful they provide excellent weekend care and the price was under $1,500 to get him in for everything. Included in that cost was an ultrasound, which gave me the information I needed to understand my dog won't be with me much longer due to a vascular tumor on his spleen, but I really appreciate how kind and helpful the doctor was when she let me know what was happening with him. She thoroughly explained what to look for so I can make sure to keep him feeling as comfortable as possible for the rest of his life. The staff is very friendly and I love that this is a local business that is actually owned and operated by a couple who genuinely care about their business in contrast to most vet offices that are owned by some giant conglomerate and are strictly in it for the business. My little shitzu was brutally attacked by my large dog - after three years of being best buds. This was at 9:30 pm and although LBc was due to close at 10pm, they kindly told me to bring Ozzie in right away. She had to have surgery and unfortunately, Ozzie lost an eye but they patched her up and I was able to take her home the next morning. Great Veterinary Care I had to come in as urgent care because my sweet boy Chip was having seizures. They were one of a couple places in Long Beach that had walk ins for a Sunday. They took my information really quick in the front and then took chip.(I'm sorry I didn't get the front desk reps names :( but the woman with long black hair and the guy with cool glasses were great!). Dr. Kessler came out and was pretty straightforward with questions and what she wanted to do. We got estimates within 30/45 minutes and the tech we spoke to was very nice and funny guy also. We even got to go in the back to see chip before we left him for the day. We thought because the clinic is so nice it was going to be an arm and a leg but everything from hospitalization, meds to go home, catheter & injections were under $1000 which is good for urgent care. They also have a pharmacy online. I was so scared I was gonna lose chip yesterday but I'm really glad we found this place. They even texted me the next morning asking how he was doing. Highly recommend LBC Vets! My dog Oliver and I just had his first vet check up here, and this is by far the best customer service of a vet in the area. We walked in and I was offered water, coffee, or a soda - and then we were taken to the exam room right away! The vet tech came in a minute later, and the Vet shortly after that. The full exam plus vaccines only took 36 minutes! But the vet still took as much time as we needed to get my questions answered and performed a very good physical exam on my very anxious dog (who can be aggressive due to fear). The vet eased some concerns I had about some issues with Oliver, and advised some preventative treatments we can do for the future. Our pup can be timid at the vet so they let us come into the back room with her to get her weight. I also took my pup in when she was about 2.5 years old and asked for a dental cleaning - I had read online that they may need these after they turn 2 so I just wanted to ask. The vet was so honest about her not needing a dental cleaning (she chews on toys a lot and gets her teeth brushed regularly so her teeth do look clean). This made me feel like they truly cared about our pup. They mentioned not wanting to put her under unnecessarily. Also, made us feel like they didn't want us to incur an unnecessary vet bills. I could tear up just writing this review... what an incredible vet clinic. I've had cats my whole life, seen plenty of vets but by far this vet clinic stands out (DO NOT GO TO Long Beach Animal Emergency Hospital on PCH worst care for your fur babies). I tend to be the annoying person owner who calls many times to ask for updates and ask questions (if y'all read this it's the crazy concerned owner of MARU the dehydrated tuxedo that came in at 9 pm with her partner who has a gnarly mullet). They didn't make me feel like I was to much, answered my questions, and were always friendly on the phone and in person. A lot of vet clinics forget that kindness especially in scary situations goes along way (kindness to your pet and to the owner). I felt extremely comfortable and comforted here. Dr. Kessler is rad and I hope she stays a vet for a long time because I don't want to take my pets to see anyone one else ( the whole staff here is exceptional). The best experience I've ever had at a vet. I went in with my senior dog who was on his "way out" because of him chewing on his leg and I wanted to be proactive before it became infected. We found out he had severe bone cancer and because of his age, if we were to amputate it, his quality of life would severely decline for the remaining short amount of time we would have him. We needed up making the decision to put him to sleep. I am so incredibly impressed by the entire staff. They are professional, empathetic, and attentive. I saw them not only interact with me and other customers and the same superior customer service was across the board. We decided to privately cremate Kilo which took about two weeks to receive his ashes. Their attention to detail and thoughtfulness was so special and greatly appreciated. Even sending a condolence handwritten card after was beautiful. Thank you so much for making this difficult time easier and a safe, calm space. I know it not only made things comfortable for me and my mom but also kilo which is who ultimately matters. Looks like we finally found a great vet in our area! I'm so devastated took my 5 wks puppy due not feeling well, they didn't reassure he wasn't doing well, all dr Munoz will say is that he's glucose levels were low and that he was dehydrated. Had me wait for over coupled hours and said he is doing better send us home with medications. He didn't look good at all he look worse when we got home. He passed away literally an hour we got home. Im so livid and sad that we could done more for this baby. They could just say he needs to be hospitalized he's not doing well to at-least reassure us so we could have taken him to a hospital read more

I couldn't say how horrible this place is enough. Don't walk away from this Veterinary Clinic run. My dog I love dearly had surgery at this place and the $1,500 that I paid them for it which was minor and he was in and out the same day and I was told when speaking with the husband of the veterinarian that I saw earlier that everything was included including the follow-up removal of the stitches or sutures. I brought him in today to have the sutures removed and they only remove some of them and told me I would have to come back 4 days later I guess they believe everybody can stop their job or other commitments but they don't work with you they tell you what to do and then you pay them handsomely for it. After the suture removal today I went home and called to make an appointment at the place I was just at. Don't know why they could have just set up the appointment then and there. Shortly after making the appointment for 4 days later I received a text telling me when I come back they want more money but they don't say how much more money and I shouldn't have had to pay any more money but it is absolutely necessary that these sutures get removed from my dog so boy they got me there didn't they. I know there are a lot of people that apparently didn't have the same experiences I did but sooner or later I'm guessing you will because they are money grubbing jerks that don't much care about you or your animal yes that's my opinion and my experience. So in the end they got a whole bunch of money from me didn't finish the job and told me to go screw off I'm not kidding that's what doctor Kessler I don't know why they call themselves doctors but that's semantics. Especially with this couple I don't believe they should be touching anything living. I'm going to include a snapshot of the text that one of the two out of the couple sent me I don't know why they had to get involved in the text but it was lies and I am extremely upset with this place and their business practices. She spent so much time in the office with us, , she sat down on the floor to bond and evaluate the cat and went through her recommended treatment plan. She then told me the things that she would recommend as most important to least important depending on my budget, She never tried to talk me into exams or tests, she just truly wanted to help us.
