My frenchie started trembling this morning and seemed like she was in severe pain. I called our normal vet and they said they couldnt take her and they had to be out of there by noon.... I called LBC vets and they were happy to take her. it's super clean and literally every single person that works there is so nice. I am switching to this vet. I have never been to a cleaner, more accommodating vet, with such genuinely nice staff and have been to many vets over the years with my pets. read more

If you had asked me about this place a year and a half ago, I would've told you they were great. The past few times my wife or I have been there or talked to them we've felt dismissed by the front staff or like were inconveniencing them by asking questions or showing concerns. For context, we have three senior dogs and a senior cat so they're at that age where things come up and we worry. One time my wife made an appt online and got a call saying their system made a mistake and shed have to come in as a walk-in/urgent care appt and wait. She waited for a couple of hours to be seen. Another time she actually was a walk in and it took about 2.5 hours or more to be seen. Most recently I took my dog in today to see the cardiologist and I dropped her off and when I came to pick her up I was charged immediately and told id have to wait up to 48 hours for the vet to go over the echo with me. In the past this was done upon pick up. When I shared some questions with the woman in the front she was very dismissive and repeated herself, "the doctor will call you within 48 hours." My wife and I have a young child and we both work. We need the results of this exam for our dog's upcoming surgery so time is of the essence for us. Also, if we make an appt to see a specialist on a Sunday, we expect to talk to the doctor on the day we set aside for this, unless we have agreed to something else prior to our appointment, just as they expect payment that same day. Now we shall see if we are able to take their call when they get around to calling us in the next day or two. My impression is that they are understaffed and stressed and it's beginning to affect their service. I rate them a 3/6 because the actual veterinarians have been wonderful to work with. read more

Brought in a stray dog for medical assistance and they have been so great helping us get her healthy and whole without putting my bank account in intensive care!! We went to them because they were the only one open at the time and it was kismet. They are so good I'm thinking of leaving my other dog's long time vet. Love the team. Happy to have found this gem! Unfortunately I will not be returning to this vet. This is my first negative review on yelp and honestly hate doing this because I'm not one to complain but I will complain on the behalf of my cat that is in extreme pain...I brought my cat in for a UTI which is fatal in male cats if gone untreated. My experience started off positive- cute office with a positive staff. It turned out disappointing when they did not give me enough medication for the prescribed amount. The antibiotic was meant to be 1ml twice a day for 7 days - by day three the bottle was running low and I knew I wouldn't have enough to treat my pet. The visit was expensive and you would hope that you would (at the very least) receive the prescribed amount of medication that you paid for. They tried to charge me double for more medication... it's extremely disappointing when a company that is supposedly run on the ethos of loving animals can't even do the bare minimum at a high cost. I wasn't even asking for extra treatment, just the amount i paid for and needed to help my cat stop feeling the pain and discomfort I know he is in. Instead of being met with understanding or a problem solving mindset, they were defensive and eager to get me off the phone as quickly as possible. I would try to find a vet in the area that values your pet's well being and your business more than a single bottle of antibiotic. read more

I've been loyal to a local LB vet for a few years but after a few price surges I knew I had to move on and look elsewhere. I tried a few around LB but ultimately ended up here at LB vets! Client friendly hours, super affordable, and caring staff. I brought my cat here after we discovered her with a large and deep gash in her chest. We were freaking out thinking we would spend a lot of money and surgery would be required. Right before administering their help they run their invoice in front of you and are willing to advise based on your financial situation and let you know what they believe your pet really needs and what you could possibly skip out on, which is always nice rather then getting hit with a big bill you're not sure you'll be able to pay! read more

very frustrating first and last experience here, the staff does not communicate amongst themselves nor with the pet parents trusting them. went in as an urgent care situation with a cut up cat foot, they whisked him away without much information saying they would call back once the vet was able to look at him not letting me wait with him or even say bye. they were oddly cold with the pets and quickly dumped them from room to room. i called for an update about 4 hours after leaving and after initially saying that my cat was doing well and ready soon, the associate i talked with on the phone had to put me on hold to check if they even had him when i asked what time i should pick him up. after finally speaking to the vet i got a rundown of how everything went and when i could get him (extreme redeeming quality shout out to the actual vet on staff who patiently explained the process with me the one chance i was able to talk with them!) once i went to pick him up they took an extra half hour to 'get him ready' and only conveniently had him set once i had asked again about forty minutes later. we left with medication and no instructions on bandage removal or follow ups, since they were adamant about collecting payment online hours before they looked at his bleeding foot, i figured they would continue to be tech savvy and email these details, but they did not. they put an IV bandage on way too tight causing his paw to balloon up and when i called to ask about it they needed to put me on hold twice in order to tell me he should've never been sent home with the IV bandage. i was also not sent home with a folder of aftercare instructions that they apparently give out until i once again called for more information. the front associates overall seem more concerned with being social amongst themselves and see caring for animals as something unserious. in general if you're someone who seeks professionalism and a staff that sees your pet(s) as another sentient being deserving of care and consideration you're probably not looking for this place. read more

I have had mostly blah to bad experiences with vets over four years of being a dog parent. So I've been searching for a new doctor for my reactive dog who will actually care for him and not just tolerate him. I found that experience today. Dr. Kessler was spectacular. She got on the floor with Zeke and built some trust with him. She walked us through the office to give us a tour of where he would be during his procedure. And they did everything in one visit. I cannot say enough bad things about this Vet office. I took my dog to the LBC Vet office for the first time a couple of weeks ago, for a checkup and blood tests. We were placed in an exam room where my dog immediately peed on the floor. As I was cleaning up the pee with a paper towel, I was shocked at how filthy the floor was, and when I say filthy, I'm not talking about dust. I'm talking about a huge amount of something that was brown that I assume was either dog poop and/or pee that had to be on the floor for a MONTH, OR MORE. Because of the color of the concrete floor, the brown colored "gunk" wasn't visible until I started wiping up the pee. The next problem was that although I CALLED SEVERAL TIMES, it took me a WEEK to get the results of my dog's blood test and to find out that my dog had a BLADDER INFECTION. I ordered the antibiotics for my dog's bladder infection through "Chewy" because they have an online portal where they can visibly see the Vet's prescription. The Chewy pharmacy said they saw the prescription in the portal, so I ordered it. I placed the order on Tuesday, and on Friday I got a phone call from the Chewy pharmacy, saying that the Vet called and said they couldn't fill the prescription until I spoke with the Vet because my dog had only been seen once by their office. Of course I was confused by that because the Vet that saw my dog is the one that prescribed the antibiotic. I called my Vet's office as instructed, and discovered that the reason the prescription was held up is that there's a different Vet than the one who prescribed the antibiotic who handles the Chewy pharmacy orders, and that particular Vet is working part-time from home because she's on maternity leave. Because of the incompetency of this Veterinary office my poor dog suffered 10 more days than she should have. To top it off, my dog brought fleas home from the Vet's office and infected my two "indoor only" animals. In the past, I've been to many different Vet offices throughout the years, and none of my animals have ever been infected with fleas. read more

horrible, horrible experience. the assistants and all personnel act very nice and very soft spoken, they offer you something to drink, soda, water, coffee. (careful, they are so expensive, that those beverages come with a price) be ready for a long, long wait, and lies. they don't care for the pet, nor the owner, have absolutely no, no, cero respect for time, your time, your pets health, no, nothing at all. after three long hours, my cat had not even been examined, i complained, then a snob female vet, came to talk to me. to be continued, now i am with a real vet, compacompascompassionate, respectful, honest, yes honest. to be continued. but wwatch out, this place lbc vet , is a rip off. the worst place ever. as expensive as a private hospital for people, almost 400.00 for an x-ray. n9t even when i paid out of pocket for my x-ray paid 400.00 they take advantage of the love for your pets. and they don't even help them. my 3 hours waiting, with my cat sick, a d they didn't eeven chechecked her temperature. they are a fraud. i don't think the veterinarians have experience at all, just pretenders and liars. read more

It is so hard to find a good vet. If you are life me, my dogs are my babies and I love them so much. I took one of my senior dogs here recently for dental cleaning and mass removal, and it was such a good experience. I tend to get a lot of anxiety when it comes to my babies - I usually have to beg to talk to the vet. Not with Dr. Kessler - she has reached out to me to explain everything and I felt super comfortable. Everyone was super organized for the front staff and the techs. I felt very communicated with and not dismissed for questions or post op care. I would not hesitate to come here, being someone who is overprotective of my high trauma pitties I would come here all the time. Give this amazing small business a chance. The place is clean, and the staff are organized and lovely and the Vet - Dr. Kessler is super chill and personable. They tend to get busy and sometimes you have some wait time but at the end of the day that shouldn't be your issue they are hustling and still making me feel like my baby was taken care of. read more

I am so impressed with the service and affordable pricing here. I brought my dog Joey to find out what was going on with his skin. He was chewing and had some hair loss. Dr. Kessler had such a way with him. He went from being super anxious to a little calmer after she came in and spoke with us. Very thorough and explained treatment exceptionally well. LBC Vets are awesome and pricing is fair. From coming in the front door (Sasha & the other young woman that I did not get her name) try very hard to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. We met with Dr Alexis Kessler - Totally caring person! We had taken our 12 year old cat to this vet for the first time and so very happy we did. Dr Kessler put us at ease right away and stayed with us to discuss any questions we might have & we never felt rushed. The senior wellness blood test & check up was done and we were getting ready to leave and another very kind young woman gave us our medication and flea meds. The next day (on a Saturday) Dr Kessler called to advise us about the blood test!! I was concerned as it was a weekend!! she let us know she calls even when its good news, which in this case was true. She will never know how much this means to us and how happy we are with LBC Vets. I looked up a vet on yelp and saw Lbc Vets had just opened. The late hours caught my eye. I called the next morning and they gave me an appointment for same day at 7 pm. I brought my cat Dewey in for a weird lump on her chest. Dr Kessler was very kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. She let me step to the back while the staff gave Dewey an ultrasound. They even comforted me as I teared up during the whole process!! To top it off this place is super, super affordable. For everything Dr Kessler did for my Dewey I was so surprised with the price. They even texted me the next day to see how Dewey was doing. LBC is lucky to have Lbc Vets!! read more

Dr. Kessler and staff were amazing! Felt warm and welcomed in a very stressful situation with my dog right out of the gate. I was able to get in on Sunday! Called made an appointment and was able to get in same day. The office is very clean and calm. My dog usually can't stand the vet and he did so well in there. Dr. Kessler and staff were very informative, laid out all of the options for treatment clearly. No gimmicks treatment, felt that they truly do love animals and their humans concerns. We felt a lot of relief. Followed up with us the next day to check on the progress of treatment. Very happy with this place, this is our new vet.
