Good food, great service, worth a visit Family of four went here recently for breakfast and were satisfied. It was not a 'wow' or amazing experience - but a good solid breakfast. On the positive side...The OJ was wonderful - fresh squeezed, tangy and not too sweet. The coffee (for 2 at least) came out in a carafe leaving us free to take refills as needed. The bacon - both in my wife's BLT and my son's omelet - was exceptionally tasty and crisp without being dry. The blueberries in my blueberry pancakes were delicious and plentiful. And I *loved* that they offered real maple syrup with the pancakes. On the negative side...the pancakes themselves were too sweet and too crisp/dry. The 'T' in my wife's BLT was an abomination for August in Jersey. The peaches in my daughter's peach pancakes were few and far between. And my son's omelet was an very thin layer of egg wrapped around a heap of cheese and bacon - basically an omelet for people who don't actually like eggs. But the service was truly excellent and we loved the new decor - particularly the tile 'orange' wall. We will certainly go again. read more

The best pancake place on the island! A must visit! The owner Victor greeted our table and was very welcoming, he explained the process of making the house-made home fries, very interesting. Not to mention, absolutely delicious! The pancakes were fluffy and just right, I asked Victor how they make them and he said it the cooks family recipe. This place was awesome! I had a large group of 15 people and we called ahead to make a reservation and the soonest availability was in an hour. Good sign for a popular place. When we got there, there were a lot of people waiting outside, so definitely plan ahead! Also, it's cash only. The food was so yummy and actually came out pretty quickly. Absolutely delicious! My boyfriend and I were looking for some nice diner style food and the LBI pancake house had it! We had the belly buster and left feeling so full. I go to LBI every Memorial Day weekend with my friends and our house this year happened to be across the street so we decided to give it a try. Everything was super tasty including the coffee. The owner was exceptionally nice and came over to each table to talk and ask them how everything was. Can't wait to visit the pancake house in August when I'm down in LBI for the week. read more

Amazing! Took a group of 13 for breakfast. Called ahead to see if they could put our name down and because our party was so large they made it possible. Took about 10 extra minutes of wait time (about 30-40 mins in total) so they could set up tables in the same section for us. Definitely worth the wait time! Food was great and the customer service was amazing. The owner came up to us and personally thanked us for coming and made sure everything was perfect! Best family owned breakfast joint I've ever been too. Between the fresh, and I mean fresh squeezed orange juice, delicious thinly sliced home fries, Vermont maple tapped straight from the tree syrup. I really wanted to love it here, I really did. The waitress (mostly young kids working for the summer) was fine, not over attentive or nice, just fine, which I can deal with. But the food just wasn't good. My omelette was over cooked, my husband's pancakes were small and super dry, and the fruit that I ordered for my kids was just gross. The banana was dark brown so it wasn't freshly cut, and the strawberries were on the verge of going bad. The bill was incredibly high for breakfast, almost $40 for 2 meals and a side of (bad) fruit. We most likely won't return. I would rather drive into beach haven and hit dockside or fred's for breakfast. read more

It's a quaint little breakfast place. Reminded me of a smaller version of IHOP. Tried eggsensational which was eggs, home fries, toast and bacon or sausage. It does get very busy so if you have a big party, the wait can be long. It's a nice place for no frill breakfast. CASH ONLY. read more

Back again year after year. It's dependable good food with so many options it makes your head hurt. From our littlest 6 yo granddaughter to the old folks we love the place. I'm not understanding all the hype over this place. I just had my first breakfast here after our old standby (Mr Breakfast) closed and I will definitely be looking for a new breakfast locale. First the good: friendly waitstaff, fresh squeezed OJ, and real maple syrup. The food itself was lackluster and tasteless. The multigrain pancakes had no flavor and were dry. Toppings aren't evenly mixed into the batter, instead just tossed into the middle of the pancake while cooking. The hollandaise sauce for the eggs Benedict was thin, bland, and unremarkable. The "coffee" is truly atrocious, and inexcusable especially since there is a decent coffee shop/roaster literally down the street they could be using. The make over the storefront itself received does look nice, but it would have been better had Robert Irvine set his skills upon the menu as well. read more

Great service, with friendly waitresses. The pancakes came out quickly and were fluffy but had that nice firm exterior which you can only get with a hot griddle. Coffee is served in pots at each table, which is great because you aren't constantly having to flag someone down for more. Get the blueberry pancakes, which have loads of fresh NJ blueberries picked locally. read more

I had the apple pie pancakes and they were pretty gross. WIth that said, the meals are pretty cheap and they have a orange juicer there which is awesome! I have a feeling if I ordered something a little more normal like blueberry pancakes or an omelet it would have been better. At least now I can check off apple pie pancakes off my bucket list of food to try. read more

We came here last year on our last day and knew we'd be back. Delicious fresh squeezed OJ even though some of my children would prefer pulp free.. Variety of tasty pancakes. There weren't enough peaches in the peach pancakes though, and it was cash only. However, we will be back next year! They need a dairy free milk option. read more

If mediocre food and slow service is what you like, this is your place. They screwed up our order, which was tough to do since the order was pancakes. You'd think a pancake house would have that sorted out. The interior is dingy and there was water leaking through the ceiling. Do yourselves a favor and go across the street to Bageleddis. read more

Always make one trip here during our annual visit to LBI. Best chocolate chip pancakes in the world--as well as other dishes. Great staff and service.
