    Mah La Veggie Tofu Delight

Some things never change, and in this case, I'd say that's an overall good thing. I've been coming here since I was a kid, when they were known as "Twin Lions," and it's still a staple when I come back to visit family. They've updated the menu a bit to include more vegan options, like my favorite, the Mah La Delight Veggie Tofu, which has a rich umami flavor and well-seasoned heat, though it's not nearly as spicy as the server warns. Yes, the interior looks like it's straight out of the 90's, and I wouldn't have it any other way. It's comforting and nostalgic, just the like food.

Quiet sushi restaurant located off main area in Fairfield. Seemed a bit run down inside and outside of the restaurant. The ceiling tiles were dirty and the restaurant was very dark and felt a bit dirty. Definitely in need of some tender love and care - when you enter the restaurant you walk into a bar area that is a bit run down from use for take out. My son and I were greeted and quickly sat for dinner. The staff was very nice and attentive. The sushi dishes we had were very fresh and didn't take very long to get to the table. The miso soup that came with the dinner was also very good and filled with tofu and veggies. The ambience and decor were just the problem at this location. They take credit card and there is plenty of parking

We do both take-out and dine-in at LC Chens. Standard chinese food fare. Some of our favorites are Sichuan Raviolis (an app but really could be a meal if you're not sharing), Steamed Pork Dumplings (also a meal on its own), General Tsos Tofu, Mongolian Beef, and Pad Thai. A caveat here, though, is the quality can be inconsistent, I feel like different chefs have their own interpretations of the dishes (like sometimes corn shows up in the Ma Po Tofu, or brown sauces taste sweeter) so sometimes what we order isn't exactly what we expect. We also get sushi here, to us it seems the quality has gotten better over the years. So our most current Perfect Date Night here consisted of a Mai Tai, Miso Soup, and a selection of sushi rolls & Signature Rolls. The atmosphere here is low-key and unpretentious. Not a high-class joint, but still a very pleasant place to eat out.

Fresh fish and high-quality sushi very good customer service

The food isn't too bad. I got the flat noodles and dumplings. But jeez the margarita had to be the worst I've ever had in my life!

The food is very good but the service is just so-so. The Chilean Sea Bass is outstanding! It's a must have.

Excellent Asian fusion fare, gracious service, peaceful ambiance, inexpensive. Wish they had a restaurant in Westchester.

New China Wok - House Fried Rice

When I found out that China Wok was now called New China Wok, I decided to get a meal here for old time's sake. There isn't much to look at inside; there's a few tables, but it's still mainly a hole in the wall takeout spot. The front desk person was kind and diligent and I got my meal quickly. The food was mostly good, but I was a little disappointed. I decided to get the first meal I ever ordered from this place: the General Tso's Chicken combo, which comes with roast pork fried rice and a roast pork egg roll. A couple of broccoli crowns separate the chicken from the rice. The General Tso's sauce was just as delicious as I remember; very savory and a little spicy. Texture of the chicken and breading were very nice as well. Their roast pork fried rice is a customer favorite and it was still delicious. The flavor from the roast pork permeates all of the rice and pairs perfectly with the chicken. The egg roll was crispy and savory and there wasn't any excess grease. It tastes great by itself, with duck sauce or with the General Tso's sauce. Unfortunately, then I tried the vegetable lo mein. They used to make great lo mein, but the sauce wasn't the same this time. The noodles and vegetables were fine, but the more I ate, the less I liked it. This tasted barely average. Since I wasn't enjoying it much, I decided not to finish it, since it wasn't worth the sodium. After I finished eating, I decided to compare the new menu with a copy of the old menu I still had. Some of their best dishes are no longer available. Where's the Chow Sam Din? Where's the Twice Cooked Pork? Others were missing as well. The two dishes I mentioned were among my favorites. I think they should bring them back if they still have the recipes. I would stay away from the lo mein, but I enjoyed everything else. Still very good food overall, especially for the price, however LC Chen's isn't far away and they are more expensive, but superior.

I ordered Fried Chicken and Pork Fried Rice. The chicken was okay but it was a little on the dry side and lacking flavor. The Fried Rice was also lacking flavor. This is the problem I had the last time I ordered food from here before. Additionally, I really don't care for eggs in my rice and they were huge pieces of eggs, which I have seen before but not that huge. The problem is it's just missing flavor and seasoning. Both of the times I went to go get my food the staff are always and very pleasant.
