    Mah La Veggie Tofu Delight

Some things never change, and in this case, I'd say that's an overall good thing. I've been coming here since I was a kid, when they were known as "Twin Lions," and it's still a staple when I come back to visit family. They've updated the menu a bit to include more vegan options, like my favorite, the Mah La Delight Veggie Tofu, which has a rich umami flavor and well-seasoned heat, though it's not nearly as spicy as the server warns. Yes, the interior looks like it's straight out of the 90's, and I wouldn't have it any other way. It's comforting and nostalgic, just the like food.

Quiet sushi restaurant located off main area in Fairfield. Seemed a bit run down inside and outside of the restaurant. The ceiling tiles were dirty and the restaurant was very dark and felt a bit dirty. Definitely in need of some tender love and care - when you enter the restaurant you walk into a bar area that is a bit run down from use for take out. My son and I were greeted and quickly sat for dinner. The staff was very nice and attentive. The sushi dishes we had were very fresh and didn't take very long to get to the table. The miso soup that came with the dinner was also very good and filled with tofu and veggies. The ambience and decor were just the problem at this location. They take credit card and there is plenty of parking

We do both take-out and dine-in at LC Chens. Standard chinese food fare. Some of our favorites are Sichuan Raviolis (an app but really could be a meal if you're not sharing), Steamed Pork Dumplings (also a meal on its own), General Tsos Tofu, Mongolian Beef, and Pad Thai. A caveat here, though, is the quality can be inconsistent, I feel like different chefs have their own interpretations of the dishes (like sometimes corn shows up in the Ma Po Tofu, or brown sauces taste sweeter) so sometimes what we order isn't exactly what we expect. We also get sushi here, to us it seems the quality has gotten better over the years. So our most current Perfect Date Night here consisted of a Mai Tai, Miso Soup, and a selection of sushi rolls & Signature Rolls. The atmosphere here is low-key and unpretentious. Not a high-class joint, but still a very pleasant place to eat out.

Fresh fish and high-quality sushi very good customer service

Wish they delivered but pretty solid Chinese takeout! Go tos are boneless spare ribs, rangoons, egg rolls, and solid fried rice.

Ive been there for dinner time as well, it's lively, loud in a good way, and immediately feels like somewhere you could stay for hours. I ordered the miso ramen, and it was honestly one of the most satisfying bowls of ramen I've had in Connecticut. The broth was the star of the dish its deep, rich, savory, and layered with that perfect balance of umami and subtle sweetness from the miso and a bit nitty form the sesame seeds. The noodles had the perfect texture: chewy, springy, and able to hold onto the broth beautifully. Nothing was overcooked or mushy . What impressed me most was how balanced the ramen was. Some ramen spots go overboard with salt or spice, but this bowl felt refined. Rich but not greasy. Flavorful but not overpowering. You could tell there was actual technique behind it. The portion size was also generous enough to leave completely full without feeling uncomfortable afterward. The service matched the food perfectly and so freaking sweet. I have trying to rec this all my coworkers

Only drawback is everything is takeout, so it's a pretty wasteful experience with all the paper plates (the stairs leading up are probably too narrow for carrying dishes). The food was just so-so. Def one of those sceney places where prices are high and people dress up more to dine. The best dish was the soothing yuzu salmon over rice entree, while the chicken wings, crab fried rice, snd tofu pockets were all a little junky and overly dressed. Wouldn't come back but so loved that rooftop.

AMBIANCE - on the nicer side with the booths being U Shaped and comfortable seating for sure. The color scheme was on the red side. Hence the name I guess LOL. There were quite a few tables with a sushi bar work station straight to the back I also noticed a full bar to the right of where you walk in. They offer various appetizers and for sushi a lot of individual selections from a full dinner or pick your own pieces or rolls. For lunch they have a nice 3 rolls of your choice for $16 which is a good deal. FOOD - I tried a tuna dumpling that I have to say was unique and excellent. Not a chain restaurant and not very big. As it turns out, it was a perfect combination for an UH-MAZ-ING meal! Literally, upon entering the front door, a curtain pulls to the side as we entered the restaurant. A nice little touch like you're entering a whole new world. It's a quaint little spot, maybe 20 or so tables total and some bar seating available. We had a small group of 7 and fit right along the far wall. Asked for some special favors from the hostess and she was more than accommodating. Our server, Julia was phenomenal. She gave us some time to socialize, choose our meals and looked after us as if we were her only table (while taking care of a couple other tables at the same time). Very personable and helpful along the way, not just someone who took our orders only never to be seen again. She had some great suggestions and was very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was spectacular! I initially ordered a few appetizers for the table. She suggested a Makimono dish which was a selection of the same items I requested and a few more! Perfect for sharing! We enjoyed a variety of entree selections from their menu including poke bowls, sushi and grilled meats and fish. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The desserts were a perfect casual finish to our meal! Can't say enough good things about our experience at OKO Kitchen. The service and food were spot on! Keep on Yelp'n!
