We've had a chance to visit a couple of times now and very happy to come back and try so many different things. Spring rolls and Phở, of course, but also trying some of the other items on the menu. (I'm not Vietnamese, so I won't try to talk about authentic vs inauthentic). The restaurant brags about its phở broth and it's very good, very meaty and balanced. There are also large platter options (lettuce wraps, for example) and hot pot options. I didn't try the hot pot, but the group one table over had it. Speaking of the other group, so many varied entrees came out of the kitchen - it was cool to see more than just phở. The waitstaff is quick... almost to the point of impatient! But never problematic. Be aware that dishes fly out of the kitchen as they are ready. One bowl might come out way before the others. An appetizer might come out last. It just whatever is ready (it appears). Also, their takeout game is strong, judging by the amount of trays ready to go and people coming in to carry-out. It's a little far for me to do takeout, but still nice to see. read more

The best pho is not in little asia (arygle) it's actually in Ravenswood secluded like 20 min from argyle but totally worth. Best chicken pho ever! Super authentic dining options here. The restaurant is a good size and has fun decoration! The food was outstanding too and so was the service! We went on a rainy day so eating pho was a perfect time. We got the dumplings, two different pho, and the calamari. The only thing I would warn about is the calamari is a big portion but honestly, it was so good that even though I was done with my pho, I still ate most of the calamari. It was too spicy for my partner so she couldn't eat it but I loved it. I didn't have any calamari left to take home! Always a tip to save your broth and take it home if you don't finish it. The Pho broth here is perfectly balanced - beefy, fantastic spice aroma paired with LOTS of meat! Their spring rolls were the best I've had. I find that the spring rolls in the city tend to skimp on ingredients. Some skimp of good veggies, some skimp on the protein but here you get both pork and shrimp perfectly wrapped with fresh lettuce, bean sprouts and cucumber. Also they were huge! Drove past and thought, "huh let's give it a try." Looked at the menu on my phone and saw what I wanted. I called in and ordered a Bahn Mi Chay, which is their vegetarian one. Loaded with vegetables, noodles and tofu. By the way, the staff was super friendly and patient given the language barrier. The restaurant had nice natural lighting, and was very clean upon my arrival for pick up. The pick up area itself is fairly small and plants get in the way. But no big deal..right? We came in later in the evening (~8pm) on a weekday, and it wasn't too busy. The atmosphere felt clean and calm. We were seated quickly, but the service wasn't the best. It was our first time eating at this restaurant, so we didn't come in with any familiarity of the menu. Not even 2 minutes after receiving our menus, we were rushed by the waiter to put in our orders. I hadn't decided yet, so I asked for more time, and the waiter told me to "hurry up". I just blurted something out and didn't get to order other dishes like appetizers as a result because I didn't have much time to look over the menu. Wasn't a great start to my experience.... However, things turned around when the food came out, which is why I give this place 4 stars despite the service. The food was pretty good! The pho broth tastes like it is made from scratch. It has that full hearty flavor, and you can taste all the good spices they incorporated in the broth. It also comes in a large bowl, and it is sure to fill you up. The pork chop rice platter is also good. I'm not a fan of shredded pork, but I ate all the shredded pork on my plate. It paired so well with the fish sauce, and it wasn't dry at all. LC got that thang on them! Our family Loves coming here. Everything about this place is what we expect to have on a casual dinner. We are greeted right when we get in and seated almost immediately because this is kind of a very local spot located on Lawrence Avenue(street parking only). There is only usually one guy working there and I swear, he is one of the hardest working waiters that I have ever seen. He is taking phone orders, busing food to the tables, taking orders, giving customer to go orders and cashing them out, filling water. He does it all! We usually enjoy getting the papaya salad with shrimp, the banh xeo and of course, the pho. What doesn't get mentioned is the bun bonhue which is a spicy beef noodle soup that is absolutely phenomenal. I couldn't even begin to tell you the flavors in that thing. You're going to have to trust me. The food quality is very high and the food always comes out cooked to my liking every single time. I needed something warm and soothing for dinner last night so I decided to check this place out for a nice bowl of Pho! I'm so glad that I did venture here because it's a hidden gem. Parking is plentiful unlike on Argle or in Edgewater. I went in and was greeted by a pleasant man who seated me right away and as soon as I told him what I wanted he came back with a piping hot big bowl of Pho! It came with the fixings such as mint, bean sprouts and a lime wedge. My one complaint is that the fixings didn't look very fresh as the lime was dried up and some of my basil leaves looked suspect. I also had a dirty water glass but nevertheless, the place was clean and the food was awesome!!! Flavorful, hot, plentiful (order the small bowl) and perfect on a cold night to warm you up.
