Look no further for your go-to Vietnamese spot! I've tried the Pho and the Vermicelli and both were tasty, all the ingredients taste so fresh. The service is always quick. I can't speak to the eat-in ambiance, but for pick-up the staff is always nice.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is a good size and has fun decoration![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was outstanding too and so was the service! We went on a rainy day so eating pho was a perfect time. We got the dumplings, two different pho, and the calamari. The only thing I would warn about is the calamari is a big portion but honestly, it was so good that even though I was done with my pho, I still ate most of the calamari. It was too spicy for my partner so she couldn't eat it but I loved it. I didn't have any calamari left to take home! Always a tip to save your broth and take it home if you don't finish it. Then just eat the broth with extra rice!

I love the Pho here!!! A trek from the city but worth a try! The quality of food here seems so much better compared to a lot of spots I've been to in the city. The Pho broth here is perfectly balanced - beefy, fantastic spice aroma paired with LOTS of meat! Their spring rolls were the best I've had. I find that the spring rolls in the city tend to skimp on ingredients. Some skimp of good veggies, some skimp on the protein but here you get both pork and shrimp perfectly wrapped with fresh lettuce, bean sprouts and cucumber. Also they were huge! Service was also fast and our waiter was very welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a pretty casual spot and wasn't busy on the weekend.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu is expansive and they feature so many great Vietnamese dishes. They also offer catering platters which look amazing! Plenty of paid street parking in the front. Looking forward to coming back!!!

LC Pho is a solid spot for comforting Vietnamese food in Chicago. The pho is flavorful and satisfying, with generous portions and fresh ingredients. Service is friendly and quick, making it a great go-to for a casual, reliable meal.

This may be one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Chicago. Not in the Viettown neighborhood of Uptown, but on the westside neighborhood of Albany Park , LC Pho has great family style options great for group dinners. Highly recommend a full fish! Also the papaya salad is very good as is the soup. We went early for dinner so no wait and service is great ( a friend preordered). BYOB so bring your appetites and thirsts #vietnamese #family style #chicago

This place is so great for Viet food and large portions! Servers are super nice and friendly--reminds me of childhood with random aunties and uncles who talk to you while you're eating. Spacious place. Authentic food. Can't go wrong with pho or bun bo hue. Debated getting com suon but I was craving bun thit nuong, and they definitely delivered! YUM!

We came in later in the evening (~8pm) on a weekday, and it wasn't too busy. The atmosphere felt clean and calm. We were seated quickly, but the service wasn't the best. It was our first time eating at this restaurant, so we didn't come in with any familiarity of the menu. Not even 2 minutes after receiving our menus, we were rushed by the waiter to put in our orders. I hadn't decided yet, so I asked for more time, and the waiter told me to "hurry up". I just blurted something out and didn't get to order other dishes like appetizers as a result because I didn't have much time to look over the menu. Wasn't a great start to my experience.... However, things turned around when the food came out, which is why I give this place 4 stars despite the service. The food was pretty good! The pho broth tastes like it is made from scratch. It has that full hearty flavor, and you can taste all the good spices they incorporated in the broth. It also comes in a large bowl, and it is sure to fill you up. The pork chop rice platter is also good. I'm not a fan of shredded pork, but I ate all the shredded pork on my plate. It paired so well with the fish sauce, and it wasn't dry at all. The pork was cooked well, and it was flavorful. The egg could be improved, it tasted more bland than the other elements of the dish. Finally, the tomatoes/cucumbers were a nice touch for veggies. I would come here again.

Delish. We split the pork banh mi and each had our own bowls of pho. Complex broth that kept us going in for more. Prices are so reasonable for the quality they put into their dishes. Will definitely be back. What a treat.

Creative Vietnamese Brunch with Standout Wings, Though the Egg Coffee Missed the Mark…read more HaiSous remains an enjoyable spot for a more modern take on Vietnamese cuisine, with quick, efficient, and friendly service in a polished setting. We came for brunch right when the restaurant opened, and it was only about 25% full, which made for an easy and relaxed meal. The crispy chicken wings were excellent -- fried well, nicely seasoned, and easily a go-to order. The bánh xèo was also very good, served hot and fresh with a crisp shell and plenty of filling, though I would have appreciated more leafy greens and herbs for wrapping. The bánh canh cua, or crab noodles, had genuine flavor, a nice spicy balance, and was served piping hot. The crab meat is broken up into the broth, so you do need to drink the spicy broth to get the full benefit of the dish. The beef papaya salad was just alright. Compared with other papaya salads I've had, I wanted more sourness and tartness to give it that sharper, more authentic flavor profile. The biggest disappointment was the cà phê trứng, or egg coffee. After having the real thing in Vietnam, I was excited to try HaiSous' version, but the coffee was not strong or bitter enough to create the right contrast, there was not much beaten egg, and the drink was overwhelmed by a large amount of whipped cream. It came across more like a very sweet dessert coffee than a faithful egg coffee. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and would come back. There are some misses, but the stronger dishes -- especially the wings, bánh xèo, and crab noodles -- make HaiSous worth trying for a creative Vietnamese brunch or dinner.

The spring rolls came as a pair, both long. Everything was packaged well. Both dishes were very fresh with great flavor. The chicken cabbage salad was amazingly good, with the cabbage still having some crisp to it despite being mixed with the chicken and dressing. The flavor was a great combination of citrus and a gingery kick, and some fresh herbs on top made it even better. This place is definitely in our short list for delivery, and we look forward to checking it out in person someday.

My only problem with the oxtail is that it was very tender... it didn't fall off the bone. It should've been cooked a bit longer. The dish itself did not look how I expected it to. The service was okay, the girl server had an attitude, it wasn't that busy and she told us she was having a bad day... for whatever reason. The ambience was really nice. I really like the decorations in there. My only issue was the booth area. The table was not leveled for a suitable pho experience. The table sits very low to where you have to hunch over while you eat. The water, napkins etc. are right at the entrance. Where people are passing by, not very sanitary. But aesthetic makes you forget about that. The food was good though so I definitely come back to eat a seafood pho.

After smelling the chemical fumes that's always present at airports, I tend to always crave something soupy and comforting. Phodega was near where I was staying, and my friend and her roommate also heard positive reviews on the food here. We arrived closer to 8 PM last Monday and were seated immediately. PHO BO (BEEF) - 16.95 +3 for extra ribeye The broth was really strong and flavorful, very meaty and beefy. However, the noodle to broth ratio was a bit too high for me. I really liked the broth too, and there wasn't much of it after the noodles sucked it all up. Adding the extra ribeye beef helped balance it out, which was a good call for me that night. My friend got the "Not BBH" and didn't really like it, and her roommate absolutely despised the Korean Style Dumplings. Definitely get the beef pho at Phodega because it did the job for me besides the overwhelming amount of noodles.

5 stars based on Bahn mi, cha gio and iced coffee I ordered today…read more I must have been part of an early crowd. When I arrived, there was only one other table dining, which made it GREAT for me. It's a decent size hall with 10+ table arrangements, making it pretty great for a group to enjoy their lunch. It also featured a couple of kiosks for ordering, which I thought was a bit easy to miss, since it was tucked away in the left corner when you walked in. It looked like there was also a cashier available to take orders, if you miss the kiosks. I've seen places where they simply do not have anyone at the register to take orders, but that wasn't the case for Lotus. Before deciding to visit them today, I had an impression that their menu choices were very limited compared to other Vietnamese restaurants I was used to. I'm certainly not complaining, since I'm usually a huge fan of select "specialty" approach in restaurants. That's why I decided to order one of their Bahn mi, where I normally would have chosen pho for my first visit. And it didn't disappoint. First off, the size of the sandwich was good. I've had it where they charged a buck or two less, but they weren't big enough to be a full "lunch" portion. Lotus' size, I thought was decent. I had ordered one of their cha gios just in case the sandwich failed to fill me, but I think I would have been okay without it. Cha gio was super good tho! Oh, and the iced V-coffee was good, too. Typically, they'll bring out the coffee before your meal is ready, probably because they're ready-made in the morning and all you'd need to do is pour them over ice. I of course, have known legitimate mom n' pop places, where they'll actually bring out coffee as it's brewing in Phin (stainless steel coffee filter) and a glass of ice with condensed milk, so you can wait for the coffee to finish brewing and pour yourself one, which is what I *always* prefer. Not here, but no big deal. You can usually tell how good the food is going to be by trying their iced coffee. Even though V-coffee isn't known for using "incredible" beans, the balance of the strength of coffee and condensed milk *does* make a big difference in your experience. I felt this place had it correct! I'll definitely come back myself and even bring coworkers or my family to have their Bahn mi again. What I'm not sure about is whether I want to try their pho or bun. First, they don't offer too many variations, so I'm stuck choosing from just a few. (For example, I usually go for "brisket-only" or a combo of brisket and rare steak, but they didn't seem to have those options. Granted, it's possible they'll make it happen if I asked) Secondly, I think they're a couple bucks more expensive than what I would like to pay for a bowl of pho. We'll see.
