After seeing all the empty tables, I wanted to be seated but I have waited for 5 minutes for that to happen. That should be a sign of warning. It is good that the place is busy even during a weeknight time, but this is 9pm in the evening. I was being warned by the waitress that this will be slow and it would not be their fault. Okay, but at least come to take my order. Slow at the kitchen is one thing, but not even setting a table for me, serving me water or drink? And I had to wait ten minutes for that? At this point, I am hoping the food is good. And the food was indeed very tasty. And the set dinner menu of choice varieties is a good steal. Now I am visiting for the second time, the crowds seems less demanding and the waiting staffs are all demonstrating impressive services and attentiveness. The even remember me too.

Very nice staff. Very friendly and helpful. Had lunch there so there's no need to wait for a seat. Had the boeuf maillot for starters (nice and soft cheeks and flavorful), Irish rump steak for main (medium rare was cooked to perfection). One of my regular place to visit when I come to pari

Receiving a recommendation from our concierge that the boeuf is very good at this restaurant we set out to find this wonderful place to get a good steak. We ordered the starter and main course option of Ox Cheek salad which was surprisingly delicious surround by a spicy mayonnaise sauce and a bone-in ribeye from Bavaria which was not delicious since the chef sliced it and baked it in the oven on a plate rather than grill the ribeye over coals or gas flame to bring out the succulent flavor of the Bavarian ribeye along with a side of fresh green beans that we didn't receive only sugar peas but as the waiter stated they're green and curly salad. This was the first restaurant in Paris that the waiter didn't freshen our glasses upon ordering and during the course of our meal. My search for a good steak in Paris continues...

Our first night here. Did not disappoint, despite having no reservations. Good service, warm smiles, and good reliable food.

Good food but not as friendly service. Went there because it was convenient and close to our hotel.

Sit at the counter to get the full experience of watching the kitchen staff do their thing. Our waiter explained the menu, suggested we could do 3 starters each, or a traditional starter and entree. We opted with the 6 starters, planning to share them all. First was an amuse bouche. It paired perfectly with the glass of champagne we started with. We then chose our dishes. The sea bream carpaccio was amazing, delicate and citrusy. That came with the scallops, two scallops sitting on a celery root puree, with truffle. Then we had the pig trotters, and the langoustine ravioli with food gas sauce. The trotters were amazing with a pickled cabbage, delicate sauce and shaved Comte. (My husband was skeptical of this one, but ate most of it!) . The langoustine dish was delicious. The foie gras sauce was delicate and not overpowering . Finally we had the lamb, and the chicken gyoza with Parmesan and smoked duck. Again, delicious. The sommelier was a great help with the wine. We started with a glass of champagne. Mine was a glass of Sauvignon blanc, and we shared a bottle of Pinot Noir. A glass of Gewürztraminer paired perfectly with the dessert of crème caramel, served with warm, lemony madeleines. You cannot go wrong.

We went with the three course lunch which was spectacular. We were seated at the end of the counter despite nobody else being there. That being said, service was attentive (not sure if they still have but had 1 star at the time) and timely. I started with the octopus carpaccio. Everything worked so well together and the octopus was extremely tender and not rubbery at all. A perfect start. For my main, I had the veal chop. Cooked and seasoned perfectly, this was a delicious piece of meat. It was a good portion too. Finally, dessert was I have no idea what it was. It looked cool, but that's about all it had going for it. Despite that, the starter and main were as close to perfect as you can get and I highly recommend this spot.

Use the complimentary bread to sop up the oils! = French Onion Soup - Ehhh just OK. Tasted like just your average French Onion Soup. + Duck Confit - Duck leg was delicious and tender with lots of gravy. Scalloped potatoes were a great side for it. + Beef Bourguignon - Phennnnomenal. Arrived in a clay pot and the beef was so tender and flavorful. Stewed potatoes and carrots were also in the au jus and flavorful too. Wish I had something (other than the bread) to soak it up! + Lasagna Bolognese - Tried a littttle bit of it and it was solid. Can't say it was much different than other good bolognese dishes I've had, but it was good. THE SERVICE ----------------------- + Seated quickly for our Sunday evening resy. - Food took a litttttle too long to arrive. + Waiter was very friendly. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------------ + Small restaurant, but has quite a few tables inside and noticed that parties without a reservation were still immediately seated. + Was busy for a Sunday evening at 5:30-7 PM, but there was always a open table or 2.
