I always love supporting small businesses especially when it comes to food! Been wanting to try Le Bon Bon Grill for a while now as I drive past it daily. I decided to order pickup today for dinner - The restaurant is well lit and has many signs that make it stand out on the street - nice white ambiance. I ordered a Marinated Tender Chicken Wrap Meal along with an order of Alloco and my food was ready in 15 minutes. Food was made to perfection with lots of flavor and it tasted very fresh. Definitely worth checking out!

Great spot, highly recommended. Everything was seasoned great. We got the plater which included just about everything including drinks. Found this place on Yelp and the pictures and high reviews brought us here. Will definitely be back. Plenty of seating inside. Everyone was very polite and inviting.

This place is pretty close to the post office in Lisle. Parking is ample. It wasn't busy when we came. The owners were very welcoming and pleasant when we walked in. There are about 5 tables. You order your food, then sit down and eat if dining in, and pay afterwards. We ordered the sampler (bon bon juice comes with it) and the plantains. The owner has to prepare the food for you, so please be patient. The food is worth the wait. I wished I had a gallon of that bon bon juice because it is that good. It's made of herbal hibiscus juice with pineapple and fresh mint. I should have asked for a refill before heading out. The sampler consists of 1 beef brochette, 1 chicken brochette, 1 lamb chop, 5 or 6 chicken wings, rice, and salad. The plantains were separated equally on our boards. All of the meat was tender and juicy but my favorite would be the lamb chop. I'll have to get that next time. Portions were very generous. The yellow sauce in the middle is spicy. The other two were mild but the red one had a tangy taste. Prices were fair because you're not going to get another West African restaurant in the general area.

This is their $12.99 beef kabob meal with vegan rice. This beef kabob is cooked to perfection and never had vegan anything before, but this vegan rice is really good. The beef just melts in you mouth. I think I just found my new lunch spot! Once you're done, you wanna just keep buying more.I highly recommend this place!

I've never had West African food, but I saw the great reviews and figured it was worth a shot. I'm glad I did, cause wow was it good. Everything was so flavorful and left me wanting more. I got a stack of lamb chops with the rice and literally went into a food coma after. Insanely nice service, a must try spot.

We were looking for a dinner solution on a random Monday night. Le Bon Bon came up in our search for halal restaurants. It turns out Le Bon Bon has halal grilled chicken and lamb chops, so I ordered a half grilled chicken with rice and lamb chops. These are currently the only halal items. I also ordered alloco (fried plantains). The gentleman saw my son and gave us a cup of bon bon juice and a slice of poundcake on the house, so it turned out to be a good value. The grilled chicken was excellent. There were two sauces included: one spicy, and one sweet. The lamb chops were thick, yet tender; another excellent dish. The rice was more al dente than I would have liked, as was the plantain, but both were decent. The juice was really interesting (some sort of fruity/berry drink with mint), and the poundcake was pretty good. Great meal overall. The parking lot is clean and in good shape, as it's a newer plaza, but small. There are only 4 tables inside, so not great for large groups. It's well-lit. Service was friendly.

Probably the best beef Kabobs I have ever eaten. And the fried rice was delicate and perfectly cooked. This place was quite a surprise.

It was awhile before someone came to tend to us but as my husband was explaining to me, in the African culture, you go to them to tell them what you want, not the other way around. They were in the back busy cooking and preparing, there is a open window where you can order. We got to meet the owner who the restaurant is named after, Anayo. He was awesome! I wanted to order the fried rice or the coconut rice but those are large orders for several people which are only for call in but they don't indicate that on the menu. I got to order the last meat pie they had and OMG, I'm still dreaming about how good it was! I ordered the jollof rice and told them mild spice but it was still a bit too hot for me but in Nigeria, that is how they spice their food, LOL. It comes with goat meat and fish. I loved the fish as it was flavorful, crispy and delicious! I will make sure to order that fish again. Hubby got the Nkwobi made with cow feet, scotch bonnet pepper, onion, palm oil Spinach and seasonings. It was so hot but he enjoyed every bit of it. Anayo told us that they have only been open for 1 year. I hope they continue and thrive. I got to taste a strawberry yogurt drink that they had in the frig that was in a 1 liter container. I really enjoyed that also. You get the bill after you pay - they told us our total for us to pay. Not used to that but they aren't the first business that I've experience to do that. Area was very quiet that evening. Thank you Nayo's - see you soon!

I didn't realize beforehand that it was an African restaurant, and since I have limited experience with Nigerian cuisine, I was excited to try something new. I ordered the beef with jollof rice, and while I wasn't expecting the level of spice, the flavors were bold, rich, and truly enjoyable. It's one of those meals that leaves an impression--comforting, flavorful, and different in the best way. I'll definitely be returning, and next time I plan to bring my husband so we can try some of their goat dishes as well. Overall, a warm, welcoming spot that's worth exploring if you're looking to step outside your usual and experience something new. Perfect for anyone looking to try something new in a welcoming, approachable setting.

Of course we ordered fufu and egusi, we also ordered chicken and jollof rice, side of spinach and fries. The man was very kind. It did take a while for our food. I think he may have been preparing it himself. The fufu and egusi (vegan) was good. I'm glad I finally had the opportunity to try it. The jollof rice was dry along with the chicken. The chicken was so dry we didn't even eat it. I would not recommend that meal unfortunately. The spinach was very spicy but good. Of course the fries were delicious. Our total was $75 including two drinks and tip. For that reason alone I would never come back. I love to support small businesses but unfortunately the price was higher than the value. I didn't get a printed receipt so I'm not sure how my total ended up that high.
