    Tom Kha soup -- fantastic!!

I'm sorry, but after visiting many other Thai restaurants, I no longer can confirm this place accurately reflects the vibrant flavors of Thailand. This place is rather one of the many westernized Thai restaurants you will find all across Chicagoland. Food may still be delicious but not what one would consider authentic Thai cuisine. Please visit Kanlaya and Eat Fine By Kuhn Kung and you will see what I mean.

Came for a work lunch and was pleasantly surprised! Make sure to ask for the lunch special menu, otherwise they just give you the traditional dinner one. It came with a soup and wonton appetizer. The soup I got was chicken and rice and it was super simple but comforting (it did have a pretty strong ginger taste as well). The pad thai and fried rice both tasted very authentic! The chicken was cooked well and the noodles were the perfect texture. The server provides hot sauce to adjust the spice level (which in my opinion was needed, but if you are sensitive to spice it's perfect). I will definitely come again!

    Green Curry - addictive!

I'm glad I found this spot. Tasty Pad See Ew, on point Panang Curry & Green Curry I want to guzzle. Fast service. I've dined in once and ordered take out thrice. Chill, calm dining ambience. I'll be back soon!

We are long-time customers. This was our Ginger Dish tonight. 80% green peppers as fillers. Wondering if new ownership. Just awful.

This restaurant does not give you the Thai cuisine experience. Although the rice is good, it's not Thai.

Best Thai food in the Chicago area. Everything fresh and well prepared. Only been here twice, but I'll definitely becoming here more often.

I used to go to the one in Downtown Downers Grove in main street. No meat and still expensive. No flavor.

It was the perfect opportunity to try a variety of items. Here is what we ordered: Thai iced tea (4) Egg roll, vegetarian (4) Chicken satay (2) Pad see eiw w/beef (2) Crispy Thai noodles w/tofu (2) Green curry with tofu (2) Basil seafood with extra seafood mix (2) Mixed veggie stir-fry with shrimp (2) Mango and sticky rice (4) Overall, we were satisfied with the flavor profiles and everything was delivered in an efficient manner. The portions are not large and I think we would order two more entrees when we revisit with our large group of 14. We have had mango and sticky rice many times in the past. This is our first time having it with a purple-bluish color sticky rice. I don't think it made much difference with the flavors but the kids were turned off by it and refused to try. Then again, kids are sporadic and we can never truly tell what appeals to them. The mango was not ripe but this was back in March when mangos were not in season. Otherwise, we would definitely return and we are eager to try the other items such as crispy catfish curry and pepper squid.

Baisi Thai is actually a pretty nice looking one, even though it's clearly run on the cheap. Maybe the food isn't as nice as the pictures, and maybe the portions aren't as big as they let on. The food still tasted better than we thought it would be though. Came at lunch. It was quiet and there was no one else eating inside, which could have been a bad sign. This was also on the weekend. Maybe it's just because of the location. This is on 63rd a ways from the shopping center with Mariano's and stuff. Boring looking area. It's about $11 for an entree. Good prices, cheaper than at many other Thai restaurants apparently. I got the Pad Kee Mao. This is flat rice noodles with basil, garlic, and mixed vegetables. Choose a protein. I got tofu. Good spice but it was a pretty small portion. She got the Pad Thai. Again, small portion. That's why it was so cheap it seems. Better than expected as far as flavor, as it can get pretty hot. It's overall good with the only bad thing about it is they skimp on the portions. There's plenty of choices for vegans and vegetarians.

The staff checked to make sure eggs were OK and pointed out that the egg rolls contain chicken. We got the spring roll, pad kee mao and the pad thai, a Thai iced coffee (they brought tea, oops) and a Squirt soda. Service was friendly and fairly quick. The spring roll, as others have noted, was falling apart. It appeared to be fried tofu, bean sprouts and maybe some bok choy, so it was mostly a textural experience. We weren't crazy about the sweet brown sauce it was drizzled with. The pad kee mao was noted as "spicy" but it wasn't. It had a nice variety of vegetables, though I could see but not really taste the basil and the broccoli was a bit undercooked. It was fine, but not very flavorful. The pad thai was basically noodles and fried tofu with the usual accoutrements (peanuts; lime; bean sprouts); not sure if they forgot to add the egg after we said it was OK. Overall, fine if you're local but not worth a special trip, at least not for the noodle dishes. $45 including tip.

There were only 2 tables occupied on a Sunday night besides a few people picking up to-go orders. For this visit, I've tried: GREEN CURRY (CHICKEN), PRIK KING (CHICKEN), BASIL EGGPLANT (CHICKEN), PAD KEE MAO (BEEF) and CRAB RANGOON. I liked the flavors of the eggplant dish over the others, but unfortunately, they were all bland. The vegetables were fresh and added the crunchy texture to the dishes. The portions were big enough to share. The place is clean, and the service is pleasant. Would I go back? I'm not sure. I felt a little bad since they closed in half an hour. I don't understand why Asian restaurants close so early in Illinois compared to other States. We ordered chicken satay, Thai bbq chicken, green curry with beef, Thai custard. -chicken satay 5 - the chicken was very tender and juicy. It tastes great with the peanut sauce. -Thai bbq chicken 5 - don't sleep on this entree. The chicken was so flavorful and succulent, you don't really need the Thai sweet and sour sauce. The sauce does give it a more tangy taste. -green curry with beef 5 - it is spicy but the enjoyable kind of spicy. Not the kind of spicy that is just hot and you don't want to take another bite. It has a nice milky texture from the coconut milk. You may need to ask for more rice. -Thai custard - 4.5 - just the right amount of sweetness, not too heavy.

It's a family owned restaurant, they are friendly from the time I've picked u my food. They are also available on Uber eats I' believe. But so far these are the items I have tried: 5/5 stars: Egg drop soup- there egg drop soup is so good and unique! I have to be in the mood for this soup but they add veggies in theirs which I love. However, it's a little pricey for a vegetarian soup. I think the large is $10! 2.5/5 stars: Crab Rangoon- they look like money bags, which I've had before in a Thai restaurant. I don't know what it is about their crab Rangoon's however I feel like they're almost very bland and you can't really taste the flavor of crab Rangoon, which is why I gave that rating. 5/5 stars: Chicken Pad See Eiw- absolutely love this dish it's full of flavor, veggies and protein. 5/5 stars: Chicken Penang Curry- it's one of the most underrated Currys, but it's very good a little sweet a little hot. Served with white rice it's definitely a good try. What I love about this place is I've asked for a higher spice level and they have delivered! I cannot wait to try more items from this restaurant and I will report back hopefully.
