I have zero problems with the food that they serve here, they always do an excellent job at preparing whatever they need to prepare & the portions are always satisfactory. As for the service, there are days where you will receive perfect service while on others the service is not so great. Some days you will be attended to in a timely manner, while there is other days where there isn't anyone available or willing to seat you somewhere. I've also experienced instances where they didn't attend to our table to take orders until I made a complaint. Most of these instances were during days where the place was virtually empty so it's not because of the place being busy. I've also ordered take out from here before, again some instances are perfect and there's other instances where they don't tell you if a certain food is out of stock via text or call so if you ordered something that isn't in stock, you're forced to wait for them to prepare something else once you arrive to pick up your order. They also don't always include syrup or butter in the takeout bags for chicken & waffles. One minor thing I'm also disappointed about is how the portion of grits has lessened over time, going from being served in a bowl to instead being served in a small cup/mug. Overall, I certainly don't return for the service because you never really know if it's going to be a good day or a bad day for that. It's always the food that brings me back. I do want to like this place, and I do to an extent but again the service is always unpredictable. I'd still say the food is worth coming here to see how it goes.

I ended up ordering a light breakfast...one egg over medium, and some sourdough toast, with butter and their lovely jam. Everything was done perfectly, and the jam was divine. The Cause: Either the owner or a staff employee whomever that is responsible for setting up the patio umbrellas, and I mean those large heavy metal patio umbrellas, well, they failed to lock the pole of the umbrella and unfortunately the umbrella lifted and blew away and had hit a family in the face that were dining there also; instant noticeable bruising to the face... I was only a table away from them.. it could have been me too. I am disappointed in the lack of care in general that surrounded the scene. Little 5 ft me... was the only one that came to help while everyone else sat around and minded their own business... it took a long while until one of the staff noticed to help and then the owner came out and awkwardly said a one word-sorry and dipped... didnt come back to offer any hospitality, non-genuine and non-apologetic... it made me lose my appetite. They had the audacity to still charge the family their meal... but I had to tell these really nice folks to make sure they get comped back. It was sickening to me on how careless they were treated. I would never come back! I mean an exaggerating long wait, cold soggy food and careless hospitality from the owner himself. That's three major strikes. P.s. That same wknd.. the news showed up about a South Carolina woman that was struck by a patio umbrella and died on site... that says alot about lacking safety. Yes, search it up. It's real news.. The chicken sandy was crafted and cooked to perfection. Coated perfectly with the crisp, and juicy. The brioche bun compliments the patty very well. The food was very comforting. Emily was our server and she was awesome. Very knowledgeable and informative about the menu. Cindy was the bartender and did an awesome job as well with the drinks and customer service. Overall the place was 1000/10! Very great establishment, and as long as we're in Nebraska we will dine in.

I have visited numerous times and every thing is still as enjoyable as my first visit!! I've been sampling items on the menu and have yet to find something I wasn't keen about. There are a few small changes to the menu on the occasion which keeps the menu fresh and intriguing. My favorite item is the arroz a la plancha! It's perfectly executed! Other items that I have been enjoying are the house Pate and their daily oysters! I haven't been a big dessert person, but from what I've tried, the desserts are not to be overlooked. Delicious! I have still yet to sit at the bar. Every time I've been in it looks like an entertaining spot and people seem to be having a good time. I went once on the weekend and it looked more fun because every seat was taken and it seemed more lively and social. I've tried a few of their cocktails and they're amazing! Holy guacamole (not like that's on the menu). Robert, truly, was our heart's desire for service. He even politely dealt with an unruly child at another table that was disrupting everyone in the restaurants's dining experience (wrote the mother of two). The hangar steak with potato and cheese waffle has become my new best friend. Oysters on the happy hour menu? Yes, please. And some more. What's that, Robert? You know about wine? I came here yesterday in desperate need of a bouquet of flowers for my boss for Boss Day. The woman who worked there whipped together one of the most beautiful bouquets I have seen. I just told her I needed a mix bouquet with some tulips in there and I gave her my price range and bam, it was on! She whipped up another one for my coworker to give to his boss. My friends all enjoyed their meal, so I think I just ordered the wrong thing. I liked the atmosphere--kind of a moody/dim vibe, but the chairs were pretty uncomfortable. I would ask for a booth next time I come in. Overall a good meal, and I definitely plan to return!

Reminiscent of an Aperol spritz, but NA. Our table got the seasonal grilled flatbread and the curry fries to share. The flatbread was excellent, best thing I had there all night. The curry fries on its own was very bland! Not sure I could taste salt much less curry. But dipped in truffle aioli and spicy mayo made it very good. There were no vegetarian entrees (not even a token one) on the menu, but they did have a Mac and cheese side. I asked our waitress if I could get that as an entree and she was very sweet and confirmed with her manager and kitchen that this was possible. Well... the Mac and cheese had bacon in it... I was told that they don't put bacon in it usually, so I'm not entirely sure what happened. I had also ordered the house salad with a sun dried tomato vinaigrette and that was fine. Not bad, but nothing stellar either. They were nice enough to comp the mac and cheese (that was taken back after I had two bites) the salad, and the fries, which was very nice of them. They did also offer to make me something else, but again - a pretty limited vegetarian menu, so I declined. I did get the chocolate cake to go and it was very grainy. I love chocolate cake, I'll eat it in almost any form but this tasted stale and had such an odd texture. It reminded me of grocery store cake. Overall a disappointing meal and I won't be back willingly, but two stars for our stellar waitress who was clearly very sorry about the bacon and the flatbread that was very good!

The ribeye was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was the best steak I had in Omaha this year and last. We will for sure be visiting again next year.
