I just had the best matcha from this place and I forgot to take a picture of it. The staff was patient with me when asking about sugar levels because I don't like my tea very sweet. I got an iced matcha with a half the amount of lavender syrup and it was PERFECT. I also got it with almond milk. We happened upon this place after a day of exploring and walking the trails in Jean Lafitte. It is definitely a hidden gem in the middle of a busy shopping center. It's right next door to Winn Dixie and a few doors to the left of GNC. The signage is hard to see from the road so that's why I'm telling you the exact location- you don't want to miss out on the yummy treats they offer. We got: A chocolate eclair An almond croissant A slice of mango chiffon cake 2 cold brew drinks and a chocolate milk from the cooler. After eating the above items at a table in the shop, we decided to get a slice of strawberry chiffon and chocolate chiffon to-go to try on Sunday. I'll have to edit my review after I try those. Everything was so good but the mango chiffon was my favorite. It was light and refreshing for a cake. The slice of cake was a generous size, 2 adults and 1 child were able to sample and enjoy. The almond croissant was a generous size as well. It was flaky and had just the right amount of sweetness to it. We all were able to share and sample the croissant and slice of cake. I did not taste the eclair because my little had wolfed that down since she was the first at the table. I'm assuming by the empty plate she left that it was pretty yummy too. I've been wanting to try this place for the longest time and i finally got to do so, it certainly lived up to my expectations. When I first walked it the energy of the cafe was just really calming? Very cute decor and pleasing to look at . They played this soothing piano track in the back and it really amplified the ambiance of it all. They had many different sweets and bites to try! I ended up many things couldn't help myself. I got the tiramisu latte, egg and cheese croissant, macarons, slice of tiramisu, and a fruit tart . Everything was so so good! I love coffee so much and usually my go to is strong and sweet and the tiramisu latte was definitely it. It was like a creamy coffee? I love to try new things but man i don't know if i can help myself and get something different from that next time. All the pastries and the egg and cheese croissant was also really good. My family had also picked up a strawberry chiffon cake for my Uncle's birthday, it was the perfect balance of sweetness. I'm never one to be harsh in ratings but there was many things in this cafe that was not to anyone's liking. To begin with the service, as a barista you should be more understanding to the customers and give recommendations but that did not happen. Secondly, portion sizes I came with a group of friends and although we ordered the same thing the portions were majorly different, and when brought up to staff they remarked "we don't do refills" when that was obviously not the question. Ending off, the food is good but the staff needs lessons on customer service, and the ambiance would help with more cafe sounding music. read more

This spot is totally worth the drive to the westbank! It's easy to miss the sign outside, but it's located right next door to Winn-Dixie. A very cute environment, Asian-owned, warm and freshly-baked pastries, and lots of drink options including coffee. They also do slices of cake/whole cakes and other treats like macaroons, mochi, and bingsu (Korean shaved ice)! They also had some seasonal drink options that sounded great. Everything I have gotten here has been heavenly ahh! Ham cheese croissant? Yum. Chantilly cakes? Yum. Macarons? Lattes? Bingsu? All delicious! Everything is easy for a grab and go, so sometimes I would just stop by before work and get a pastry(or two) paired with a drink. My favorite thing about the desserts is that they're not overly sweet. I've tried a couple of the macarons and the buttercream filling is to die for. My favorite are the cookie butter and earl grey. Don't pass up the basque cheesecake either cause it's so rich and scrumptious. I ordered a cake one time and my requested writing was in Vietnamese and the owner was very accommodating and made extra sure with me she got the writing correctly. Love every pastry we have tried so far. Their macarons are light and sweet but not overly sweet. However, our top favorites are the almond croissant, lemon scones, and monkey bread. For drinks, we like the Iced Earl Grey Latte, Frozen Caramel Coffee and Iced Vanilla Bourbon Tea. We have had the Iced Chia Latte and the Iced tiramisu Latte. They were good just not our top favorites. Today, we tried a mini pecan tart and a mini fruit tart. They are so good! Again, even these aren't overly sweet. They are just the right amount of sweetness and not heavy. Clearly you can't go wrong. Definitely give it a try!! read more

Worth the drive! This is hands down the best bingsu I've had. The mochi are also incredible if you've never tried ube or red bean those flavors are so good! I had the Earl grey latte which was also amazing. The almond croissant had a bit of a crunchy exterior but it was very good, the sausage wasn't my particular favorite but it was still good, I'm sure I'd like the ham and cheese better. Delicious pastries and Mojo coffee on the westbank! Yes, please. The owner of this spot makes all of her pastries by hand such as croissants, cheesecake, and scones. Not to mention mojo coffee, which is one of my favorites. I'm so excited to have it right down the street. The cafe itself is super cozy and welcoming, and the prices are really good, especially considering everything is handmade. I go to Evolve in Metairie to get coffee and macarons all the time. So when I heard the macaron pastry chef is opening her own coffee shop, I've been stalking this location every other day since. It helps that I live around the corner. They're finally open today! Very cute and tumblr decor. And of course, they have macarons! I like their macarons more than Sucre's. The flavors are more intense and it's a little cheaper too. My heart is so happy but my waist line won't be. It's their soft opening today so they didn't have all the specialty coffees. New coffee shop with boutique patisserie - Try the chocolate croissant. Next to Winn Dixie, in the shopping center on the corner of Hwy 23 and Terry Pkwy. West-bankers rejoice! A coffee shop with a great selection of amazing pastries. The chocolate croissant called out to me while I was ordering and I had to have it. Crispy, airy, decadent. The blueberry tart was flavorful and not overly sweet. The real perk for me is the parking! Other nearby coffee shops have more crowded parking lots or drive throughs that have made me miss my caffeine buzz. There is plenty of parking and entrances to get in and out. read more

The cheesecake is one of the best that I've had so far- it has a soft, creamy center and it was perfectly sweetened for me (I like desserts that are not overly sweet). I went yesterday and ordered a caramel iced latte and two slices of cake for me and my husband. My latte was fresh and delicious. I had my slice of strawberry cake last night. It's definitely one of the best tasting cakes I've had in a long time. Not only were the products good but the packaging was just as nice. The lady who helped me was great! I love this place and nice to know that they are right around the corner from my house and that there are better options than Starbucks and CC's. Coffee was hot and although could have been a little stronger sufficed. The item I wanted was the mini chicken salad in a croissant. The young lady was personable. I asked her how fresh they were and she replied last week. Friday she thinks. Most food safety sources say after 4 days it should be tossed. As even if it is kept at the proper temp spoilage and bacteria can grow. So it was a big NO for me. I went with a raspberry pastry. I didn't ask how old this one was but according to the staleness I would guess it had been there a few days also and hadn't been fresh in a while. The chocolate muffin I got for a treat later. Is also on the far side of being fresh. The sausage croissant after being microwaved and brought to proper temp. Was bland. It needed mustard or something. The barista was polite but rather over worked as she was the only one visible. There were two people at two different tables. One had her lap top out and work spread out. Her mother never taught her to keep her feet off the furniture. And the other was playing on her phone. Not sure if they worked there but they weren't consuming products. The total tab for two lattes. Two pastries and one sausage croissant. Was 30 plus tip. Was I impressed? Not enough to recommend or return. Be warned the large coffee is only 12 Oz. read more
