Stopped by after being inside the medical building. There's a parking lot in the front since it's located inside a medical building. What I tried: Jasmine green ice tea Taiyaki with red beans Jasmine green ice tea was light and good. Perfect and refreshing on a hot day. Red bean taiyaki were 1 for $2 or 5 for $10. I ordered 5. They were a bit under done. But, I liked that I wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. Freshly made. read more

It's in a large complex across from a parking lot so it doesn't get much attention. But the taiyaki omg it's so delicious. It's perfectly crispy and toasted, and the inside is chewy like mochi. I got the custard kind and it was perfectly sweet and silky. Highly recommend. read more

Le Cafe Noir is located inside a medical building in Koreatown and I must say.. this is one of the nicest indoor business cafe's I have been to! The interior looks brand new and everything is well-organized and squeaky clean! All the organic fruit juices are squeezed daily (my fav grapefruit juice) and they only use the freshest ingredients for their sandwiches! My absolute favorites are the egg&tuna sandwich and the chicken salad sandwich which both are very filling and flavorful! Parking is free and great customer service! This place is a tiny "cafe" located adjacent to the lobby of a mostly korean populated medical building. I got the Tuna and Egg Sandwich for $4.50 and it was honestly better than I expected. The Tuna and Egg salad was seasoned well and flavorful to boot. I could taste both the tuna and the egg and it was made with just the right amount of mayo. I kinda wished they used a couple toothpicks or maybe some kind of wrapping to hold the sandwich together, because half of it fell apart when I picked it up, but that was not a dealbreaker. The menu isn't that extensive, and I didn't try any of the coffee items, but more than a sit-down venue or an actual cafe, Le Cafe Noir seems to be more of a pick-up-and-go kind of place. THE BEST authentic boong-uh-bbang (red bean filled fish shaped cake), this side of the Pacific! My parents brought it for me to try and I'm shocked that this exists outside of Korea at such a high level of authenticity! The red bean has whole red beans, not just the overly sweetened cheaper paste that you'll see in most places. Quality is A++!!! It's so crispy on the outside with the delicious lightly sweetened cake batter. I freeze mine and toast it at home and savor them. Must try!!! read more

I had a great time! I picked up a meal between Census shifts and was happy to see this café feeding the health care workers. I have such a special place in my heart for k-cafés, it makes me so happy to see how much business this one is having during this time. Being in a Korean hospital building for me was a nice mix of visiting family in Japan and then being back in LA! There was a line and everyone socially distanced, the security guard for the building also takes your temp when you come in which I know doesn't do that much but I think makes people think seriously about Covid. Great turkey sandwich and signature Brown Sugar Boba, also picked up an interesting Roman inspired Lemoncoco drink that reminded me of my trip to Italy last summer. I'm so glad that they had such a good selection of other stuff to drink since I brought my daughter and mother in law along. My mother in law was amazed by the tea selection & my 6 year old daughter was all about the smoothies.
