They have a salon and I must say, I peeked in a few times and all of their clients had beautiful hair!

LOVE this place. My friend and I got a Groupon voucher for a massage& facial and it was the best experience ever! They were very accommodating to us too because of our tight schedules. My massages therapist was Jasmine, and she was soo awesome. Asked about my concerns, what pressure I wanted, and was just a great person to chat with. My facialist was Dionne *sp* and she was also very pleasant. Great personality, always told me what was going on during the facial, and didn't rush anything. I'll definitely be coming back. The waiting area is very zen. Really clean too. Overall, great spot.

My natural hair blown out and curled. Look at that shine!

I have been coming to Selam for almost 4 years. I have natural hair. She does blowouts, sew-one, and natural hair styles. She has helped me to keep my hair healthy with steam treatments, and I have been able to achieve amazing blowouts with no heat damage. Her assistants are very thorough when they shampoo and blow dry your hair: When I ask for a trim, Selam does not cut too much off like most stylists. I highly recommend this salon! I recently moved to the area and was searching for a good stylist. I'm so happy I came across Le Chic on IG and yelp. The good reviews and the hair photos sold me on this salon so I made an appointment. I was late to my appointment because I got lost, but they were accommodating when they didn't need to be. Selam styled my hair and gave me some great tips for maintaining my style. 5 days later and my hair still looks like I just stepped out of the salon. There's a young guy in the salon who is good too. I didn't get his name. I really didn't want to write this review because I feel like I've found a jewel in Selam, and I don't want everybody and their moma at my new salon taking up all the appointments.

1 week after my visit- hair is still holding its curl!

I love Le Chic salon! I live 2hrs away in Pennsylvania, and it is so worth to drive to have Selam style my hair. I do not trust many people with my hair, but I am confident in Selam cutting, coloring and styling my hair! The place is also beautiful. All of the staff is friendly and accommodating. The recently added spa services and I can't wait to to try those out.

Gladios! I've been his client for 9 years. If you're looking for someone who is great with natural hair, come here!

My experience with Gladios was awesome. He is always punctual and professional. He has been caring for my hair for 9 years. He has seen me through relaxing, transitioning, and being natural. He uses the least amount of heat possible and he gives advice where necessary. I now visit him for regular trims, deep conditioning and (ahem) rinsing my grey hair every couple months. I have recommended him to several of my friends who have all had positive experiences! Check him out!

My first time I came to him . Beautiful style and flow

Gladios is amazing . First started coming about a year and a half ago , my hair has grown tremendously since . It is a lot healthier and moisturized . He has repaired the damage , he truly is talented . I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Holy. Sh-t. !!!!!!…read more I can't find enough superlatives to describe Enders and the Burrow team. Enders (in collaboration with Ryan) fixed my hot hot HOT mess of a "balayage" (for which I paid $$$$) basically on the fly, in a fraction of the time, at a small fraction of the cost. Jarrell at the front desk is amazing. More adjectives: cool, high-energy, positive, perfectionistic, artistic, welcoming, amazing playlist. Best salon by far in my 8 years in DC!! My only regret is not finding them sooner.

This was supposed to be a quick bang trim that turned into the worst haircut experience of my life…read more I went in for a trim and the stylist who cut my hair, Jen, made me extremely uncomfortable from the moment I sat down. First, I asked where I could put my bag down and she insisted it didn't matter and this would be quick and then was trying explaining how I wanted my bangs trimmed bc I want to grow them out and she was very dismissive about it and told me to relax and again, insisted that this would just be a super quick bang trim. I went to take my cardigan off bc I had waited around for a while and it got hot, and she said "whoa I didn't know you were going to get undressed." Generally, I felt rushed and thought that comment was weird but I tried to move past it, maybe she just a different sense of humor that's not for me but I don't really care, I just need a service done well, especially since I had to go to a wedding in 48 hours. But the part that bothered me the most was when she put the black cover around my neck, I went to move my hair from being caught under the black robe bc it feels uncomfortable for me, She literally said, word for word, "ma'am I need you to calm down. jeez people in this city are something else." I didn't know where she is from or what she thinks about people who live in this city but it is obviously very negative and was projected onto me. For context, my stylist was a white woman and I am a POC. FYI: People actually do have anxiety disorders and may need folks to be somewhat decent and welcoming in order to feel relaxed and not rushed in and out... I wouldn't have even cared about any of this if the haircut was good, but when I went home and brushed my hair properly it was literally cut at an awful uneven angle and Maybe they are nice if you're paying hundreds for a cut or color but they are not nice to folks going in for quick touch up services and apparently people in DC are "something else" so they already have preconceived notions about some of us I guess.

Over the past five years, I have regularly visited Japanese hair salons in Los Angeles, New York City, and Boston while traveling frequently. In those experiences, even when a haircut did not fully match my preferred style or length, the technical quality was consistently strong, and any adjustments were handled professionally. Unfortunately, this experience was very different. One of the defining characteristics of a Japanese haircut is the smoothness, softness, precision, and careful organization of the layers. In my case, the cut lacked those qualities and appeared uneven and poorly structured (the photo from the back). I was also disappointed by the salon's management. Based on my experience, the overall operation and quality control did not reflect the standards typically associated with Japanese salons. Update (May 2026): Over the past 4 years, I have been with my Japanese hair stylist in New York. I returned to the salon to see Keiko because I was hoping to find a long-term stylist in Washington, DC. I had not had my haircut for 7 months prior to that because I delivered a baby in December 2025. Ozuki appeared to be one of the few salons in the area offering Japanese hairstylists. Immediately after the appointment, the haircut looked good due to the styling and blow-dry. However, within a few days, the shape became difficult to manage and appeared increasingly unstructured. The photo on my ID, taken approximately three weeks after the haircut, reflects how the cut settled over time. In contrast, the Japanese haircuts I have received elsewhere typically maintain their shape and balance for several months. Despite my concerns, I scheduled another appointment six weeks after the first haircut with Keiko because I genuinely hoped the issues could be corrected and that I could establish a relationship with a local stylist. At the same time, I let the management know that my haircut had bad form and hope that it can be resolved at the second appointment. Unfortunately, my interactions with management, Liz, were once again disappointing. Rather than addressing the concerns constructively, the response left me with little confidence that the salon could deliver the level of quality I was seeking. This is the first Japanese salon where I have repeatedly had unsatisfactory experiences. Based on the consistency of those experiences, I am not convinced that the salon operates at the standard typically associated with Japanese hairstyling.

They have excellent customer service and they cater to their customers' needs. Overall, they keep a really good time schedule and they make sure that you're in and out in a certain amount of time that they tell you as the estimate. I do also appreciate that they respect their customers time by doing this. I love that they have a point of sales system where you can pay by tap and that they don't really handle any cash, which is a good sign. Overall, this is the best hair salon in DC that I'm aware of. I trust them doing my hair, my daughter's hair, and I have referred people to come here. Thank you ladies!

Very clean establishment They offer coffee, tea, or water to guests Festive decor with some halloween candy at the front desk lol how cute! My services were done by Sonya and I'll say this, you need to book a trichologist! If you're suffering from hair loss, hair damages, dermatitis, and scalp issues, book someone certified to not just style your hair but customize the right care for your hair. Sonya did just that and she was sweet, understanding, not scornful of my hair condition, and really made a dull hair shine again. As someone battling dermatitis, I booked a cut, moisture hydration treatment, and scalp exfoliating detox masks and honey...this service was just what I needed. Sonya carefully explained everything to me from things do refrain from if my scalp became flared and how to manage it in between. I'm so relieved to have found her because my hair was missing this level of care and support. I'm scheduled to return soon and cannot wait to continue this journey to healthy hair with a dynamic stylist. Book the appointment and if you need special attention to the state of your hair, book Sonya-you won't regret it.
