I stopped by for a cup of coffee at this kiosk in the Avenues Mall after a long day of shopping. It's located on the second floor near the stage area and is larger than some kiosks and can get a bit busy and loud. You place your order on one side while the other has a counter with bar stools if you wanted to eat there. While waiting for my coffee, I watched them make crepes for other customers and was intrigued how huge they were. The menu had great combinations of both sweet and savory crepes. My coffee was smooth and flavorful and the service was fast & friendly. I will be returning soon to definitely try those wonderful looking crepes! read more

Le Crepes offers, as its name shows, excellent looking crepes! However, my review here focuses on the 16 oz white mocha latte I purchased during my visit. The Avenues was slow during my visit, but I'm glad I got to see one of crepes being prepped. From the menu, there is a wide offering and I look forward to getting one in the days ahead and then update this review. However, while searching for a different coffee kiosk I used to visit here on the second level of The Avenues, I discovered it was gone. So, in a sense, I was cornered to take my only option here. The barista is a veteran at this kiosk and said she's been there 11 years. I wondered if she was the owner, but I'll find that out next time. In looking at the menu, there is a fairly large variety of coffee offerings here. You pretty much can get it as plain as you want, or fully loaded! But what really made me happy was the coffee brand of choice by Le Crepes. LavAzza is awesome, so I instantly ordered a 16 oz white mocha latte. I asked for whipped cream and she gave me a near mountain! I forgot to tell her I was getting it to go. It was very kind of her to be so generous, so I look at it as a plus! The blend of the LavAzza coffee and white mocha in it really gave it a more authentic taste than I've experienced for quite a while. It was something that stood out to me where other coffee outlets didn't. It made the ride home much better and I look forward to visiting here again. Service is very good. There is a large menu of both sweeter type crepes and breakfast/sandwich type crepes. Much to choose from! On another note, I was really impressed with the cleanliness and organization of this kiosk. It's in a good spot in the mall, not far from a main entrance. It's been here 11 years, and appears to have built itself a good reputation among those who work here or customers visiting the mall. I've enjoyed Le Crepes many times over the past two years and regularly stop by for their coffee, but today was my first time trying a crepe since the new ownership took over. Wow! The incredible flavor and quality ingredients I've always loved are still there, now paired with a fresh sense of charm through the new branding. It's amazing how much the small details can enhance the experience. As a kiosk, the updated presentation really improves the overall ambiance and customer experience. It was fine. I just had high expectations because the last crepe I had (at a farmers market in West Palm) was just so freaking delicious! To me these ones are a little over baked? Maybe that's how they're supposed to be but the other one was just super soft. These were a bit hard to cut with the plastic wear they provided. Also I didn't see the bar on the side where you can sit down and eat. So when I asked where more seating was since the two small tables across from the place were occupied, I would've liked if she had pointed at the side bar area. Instead she pointed me to the food court. Prices must have gone up too because my order should have cost $8.50 based off of old menus pictures but it ended up being $12.50. Came to the Avenues for some homecoming dress shopping. I needed a sweet drink and decided to stop at Le Crepes. Best decision so far today. The cashier was very sweet and patient. She made us 2 Dolce Caramels which were the perfect balance of espresso and sugar. The vibe is small authentic coffee shop. They had a small line but she did well quickly making the drinks and answering my questions. Oh my GOSH...these crêpes are INCREDIBLE!!! Watching them made right in front of you is a cool experience, and being right inside the mall where you can stop off for a mid-shopping treat of such excellence is so delightful! The crêpe chefs are friendly and quick and provide excellent service while keeping the line moving. Be sure to leave a little extra time for this experience as they are usually quite busy, and a perfect crêpe does take a little time to make fresh off the crêpe pan! read more

Our ham and cheese crepe was pretty good, but probably not as good as others I've had. They only offer mozzarella or provolone cheese options. When I saw that, I almost decided not to eat there, since those aren't authentic crepe cheeses (e.g. Gruyere). Our Nutella crepe was pretty good as well, but I've probably had better (e.g. at Le Petit Paris). We only spent $14.51 for two crepes, which are fairly large, so I consider it a pretty good value. I'm torn as to whether to rate this place average (3 stars) or above average (4), because even below average crepes are still yummy to me, and I did enjoy my small meal here. My wife only rated the crepes about 5/10, however. I'm rating this place four stars since I enjoyed myself, and would like to enjoy it again, but I wish they'd at least get the cheese right. read more

Where do I start?I usually don't write negative reviews but today I have to share my unpleasant experience. I stopped at the avenues today and I was craving something sweet, I passed this place for years and I decided to try it. The cashier was very sweet & took my order. She was smiling and very welcoming. It was a long line of people waiting on their food. Literally everyone was circled around. You really don't know who was waiting and who already order their food. Except the two costumers that sat down at the corner. I order the most simple thing. I ordered a strawberry and banana crepes with Natela. I was waiting 25 minutes for my food. I was standing with my children for a while, so after 25 minutes I decided to sit down. The lady served everyone before me. I was ok with it because they were ahead of me. Then I walked back up to the stand to check on my order. A lady in black who was making orders asked a lady beside me what was her order? The lady in the black then proceeded to make her food. Then she asked me what did I have I said I told her my order, she picked up a plate that she placed to the side and handed to me. Then continued to make another costumer order. I said "Excuse me ma'am can I get a fresh one please." She told me no rudely and started yelling at me in front of my Children. She said Do you want it or not? I called four times it's not my fault that you walked away. Mind you the seats were a foot away, I would've heard her. Then I asked her can I just have my money back? She told me I don't do refunds and asked me again "Do you want it or not?" I told her I'll just take it if I can't get a refund. She throw the plate on the counter. In front of everyone and made a big scene and she proceeded to ask the two costumers Didn't I call fours times. They both shook their heads yes then I put my hands up like I don't want to argue. Then she proceeded to keep going on with the conversation and I took my plate and sat right down. As I'm walking away she still was going on saying I called it four times. She was an older lady I believe she was in her 50's. She was very nasty and rude. It's unfortunate that she was rude because the stand was very clean and I like the menu choices. She didn't have much hospitality. The cashier was way sweeter than the lady making the capres. I don't know if she was having a bad day but you talk about me in front of other costumers so they can be on her side is tasteful because I am also a paying costumer as well as the others. Maybe she was having a bad day, Hopefully her day gets better. I would've been ok if she just made it fresh. I took a few bites of my order and I throw it away. I was introduced to this little le crepes booth located inside the avenues for the first time by a friend. The crepes are freshly made to order and the bananas as well as strawberries are great combo with nutella. The freshness from the fruits really compliment the softness of the crepe. Delish!!! This is a small kiosk located in the Avenues mall, upstairs right above the middle display ( where Santa is every year!) You walk up and they have about 30 different sweet or savory crepes to pick from or you can just pick what you want inside. As soon as you tell the (French?) man what you want he pours the batter and skillfully smoothes out your crepe on the circle grill. So gracefully and delicate he stuffs them with you choices, and folds it up and hands it to you. Oh just so yummy! We tried a sweet ( Nutella and strawberry) and savory ( turkey, cheese, and lettuce) they were both wonderful! My daughter practically inhaled the sweet one and I thought the savory one might be kinda boring but it was perfect and the batter they use is so eggy and good! Another treat! We were playing a popular smart phone game and parked right next to Le Crepes while battling and my son loves crepes. I had noticed this little island food counter last time I was at the mall and KNEW if I brought my son- he would totally try them. And he did- opted for a strawberry-banana with cream filled crepe. This small kiosk reminds me of a crepe place a would go to in Crete. I always said that if a dedicated crepe place opened up at the beach or in Riverside's 5 Points area it would make a killing, especially at night when people go drinking. I was so happy when I discovered this place. It has an extensive sweet and savory menu that offers both flavored that you would want. Each menu is split up between the main ingredient in each one, be it Nutella or peanut butter or whatever meat you choose. They also allow you to add another flavor to it for a small up charge, meaning the possibilities are up to you. I ordered a Nutella, marshmallow, and banana crepe while my girlfriend ordered the Nutella and strawberry. Both were done in minutes and served either on a plate with fork and knife to sit at one of their four stools or in a holding sleeve to walk around the mall. The crepe itself was soft but firm enough for it to not fall apart if held. This is important when you consider the majority of the people will be walking around while eating it. The ingredients itself would be hard to mess up on the sweet side. So long as the fruit is fresh there shouldn't be an issue. Savory on the other hand has meat and vegetables so I do not know how those are but another customer ordered a turkey and spinach crepe and looked happy. My only wish is that this was an actual restaurant. I would go here for breakfast if it was a nice sit down place. If it had a little open store front for people to order and eat outside near the bars it would also be great. I think the mall location is a nice place to start but they definitely have to go bigger, and the way they make crepes I can definitely see them being that successful. read more

If you are craving a quick crepe and you are in Southside area you deff want to go to the avenues mall on the second floor there is a stand for crepes and not just sweet kind but salty kind made as well. They have amazing coffee to get with a Nutella and strawberry crepe. They are quick from taking your order to making it and handing it to you. I like this stand because there is a side bar where a couple people can sit at. There is a trash can a couple feet away to throw the trash away.
