Said non alcoholic (confused by menu)
    Christopher C.

To preface: This review might fully be on me. Ordered a drink from the menu that turned out to be non-alcoholic (came in a smidge tipsy to be fair). Still a nice ambience and wish we got a seat upstairs! Need to return for sure! Cheers!

Decent bar I wouldn't call it a Dive. The steak tartare was a perfect blend. It's very narrow and small. If you're claustrophobic I do not advise coming here.

    Burger and fries

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile, and I am so glad I did! I am very much a burger person, and it did not disappoint. The fries were also amazing and we were given a large portion! (Great to share if you're not super hungry). What surprised me the most was how much I loved my drink! The French 75 was one of the best I've had, and I am very picky about this drink! The reason this place gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because of how small it is and crammed the tables are together. Although I still enjoyed the ambiance and vibe of the place, I do wish the tables were spaced out just a littleeee bit more.

    Tuna Nicois, Artichoke and drinks
    Renata G.

Most come here for drinks, I come here for food. It's just always on point. Tuna Nicoise is a must have. And I'm obsessed with their artichoke - having it here sent me on a journey for the best artichoke dish in Manhattan. So far no competition. It's so simple yet so right. Can't go wrong with falafel, ricotta, Bibb lettuce, beef tartare and FRENCH FRIES here. I'm a fan of their curry mussels too. But beware! It's messy splatter prone so if you're dressed up, it's a danger zone. Always appreciate a place that has a wide variety of non alcoholic drinks too! Le Dive reigns in all categories beside table availability. That's a rough one. But be nice and patient and they'll squeeze you in.

I came here with my two friends for a cute wine bar experience and we got exactly that! The lighting was perfect and service was fast and amazing. Very sweet. I got the french 75 and it was really well made. The tuna tartare was amazinggg as well. Not bad of prices. Definitely need a reservation made beforehand though as it was busy on a Friday night.

Quaint spot we walked in on a Sunday afternoon just to get a drink while we waited for our to go Order at the golden diner. We sat at the bar and ordered two paper planes. They were really good and refreshing and the service was prompt. We didn't eat but the burger looked popular.

Went here for a drink while waiting on nearby reservation and it was quite busy. Service was fine nothing notable and would do a more in depth review when we try their food. There is a bar and two levels for seating but still rather tight inside

Loved this place. Been meaning to go for a while. Went on a Friday night, and the place was pretty buzzy around 10:30. I've been to some of the other locations by the restauranteur, and this one was the best. Very good house mezcal Negronis Will definitely be back

    Fromage & charcuterie plates

Came by with some friends on a busy Thursday night, thankfully we had a reservation so we sat right away. We ended up staying awhile so we saw the bar go from the after work crowd to the getting ready to go to the club in the basement crowd (& yes there is really a small dance club in the basement). The food here is served tapas style so we ordered a few dishes for the table. Started with a frontage & charcuterie (these are separate & the charcuterie is actually just meat. The meat plate came out pretty full & the frontage plate or cheese seemed lacking in comparison but we were three girls hanging out so it wasn't the end of the world. We also ordered a stuff mushroom & a steak frites for the table. Both of these are must orders! Very good, the steak was cooked perfectly & the sauce from the stuffed mushrooms were to die for. We soaked up the rest with our fries & leftover bread from the cheese plate. Drinks are a little pricy without the matching heavier pour but overall we had a good time. The busier it gets the less we saw of our server but that makes sense because at one point the bar was three people deep & it's not a big enough spot to move around easily.

Le Dive was a fun bar with a downstairs section as well. The basement was SUPER loud and foggy. The gin and tonic was also super strong haha

The ambiance feels straight of the golden age, which is an aesthetic I'm certainly a sucker for. Even their robust cocktail menu fits the bill and is one of the prettiest menus I've ever had the joy of perusing. Staff was able to sit us a little bit ahead of our reservation which was also much appreciated. Wait staff was also very helpful and attentive, I don't think I've ever had my water glass so topped off! Starting off with cocktails, this place is a gin bar through and through and you'd be making a mistake if you didn't try one of their many options. I went with the 10,000 words, which you simply just give a spirit of your choice (I picked gin of course) and whether you antes) wanted your drink shaken or stirred and the bartender does the rest, so a bit of a surprise! I wound up with their version of The Last Word which was delightfully citrusy but I was hoping I'd wind up with something a little more adventurous app things considered. My girlfriend got the blackberry G&T, which was not only very pleasing to look at but delicious to boot. For food, we started with splitting some zucchini blossoms and beef cheek bao buns (both come in portions of 3). Both were tasty, but I love a good bao bun and these were so light and pillowy, I could have just went for an order of those for my main course. For the entree I went for the roasted half chicken, perhaps the most unassuming choice on the menu but this was maybe the best roast chicken I've ever had. Prepared perfectly, cooked to perfection, excellent portion size, and the kicker of it all was the stunning gravy that I was tempted to lick my plate for. Chicken is very easy to screw up, and they nailed it on all fronts here. My girlfriend went for the Valerie Signature burger with white cheddar and this thing did not mess around! A very rich patty, cooked to her temperature of choice served alongside some garlic truffle fries that made an American classic feel just a little more elevated. Our experience was delightful and I'd love to comeback here again, especially to check out more of the cocktail menu and soak in more of that golden age aura the place gives.

The Thick Cut Bacon (8.5/10) was sweet, crunchy, and cooked perfectly. The Wagyu Cheeseburger (7.5/10) tasted good, but the bun was too dry, dense, and oversized for the burger. The King Crab Rangoon (8/10) was packed with crab, almost too much for my taste, but the sweet chili and hot mustard sauces balanced it out nicely. The Espresso Martini (6/10) was a pretty standard espresso martini. The Long Island Cold Brew (3/10) tasted like cold brew mixed with vodka, which just wasn't for me. Service was fine overall (7/10). The highlight was the complimentary sorbet they brought out for my friend's birthday. The vibes were classic Hogsalt with dim lighting, old-school jazz, and a cozy atmosphere (7/10).

For apps, we tried the Amberjack Crudo, the stuffed garlic flatbread, and the chrysanthemum salad. All three were delicious and I'd highly recommend trying them all. Appetizers: the octopus carpaccio was the best and I'd order again. The tuna tartare was a little too heavy on the sauce flavor, and the golden beets were unmemorable. The yellowtail was good I think, but didn't stand out either. Mains: the duck borek has more of a sausage like meat texture.
