Walking into the hotel, I informed the doormen I had a reservation at Sloane's and they sent someone down to walk us up to the speakeasy. It's hidden behind a velvet curtain and walking in, it was dark with a chic vibe. It was fairly empty since they had just opened for the day so service was attentive. My friend and I both ordered the Vesper Royale which I enjoyed but it was too briney for my friend so the server readily took it back and let my friend order a different drink. I was only inside for a moment, but it's really beautiful and well designed. It was packed, so my friend and I ordered at the bar. She got the chicken nuggets, and we both ordered a drink. The nuggets were good, a nice snack between bars in the area. The wait staff was very attentive even to those of us at the bar which I appreciated. We tried to sit in the Empty lobby and charge our phones after heading out and we got kicked out since we weren't staying at the hotel which sucked, but nice otherwise. read more

I went to Sloane's on a Friday night for a friend's birthday, and from the moment we walked in, the vibe was just right. Gigi, the host, set the tone immediately super welcoming and friendly, which really sets the energy for the night. The place itself has that moody, intimate atmosphere with great background music and beautifully crafted cocktails. Our waitress Natalie was an absolute sweetheart! patient, attentive, and full of great recommendations. Service overall was on point. It did get pretty busy later in the night and then quieted down again, but the flow never felt chaotic. Besides the drinks We ordered the tower, and while the fries, sliders, and chicken nuggets were tasty, I have to be honest $120 for what's essentially a mountain of fries feels steep. plus the 1 or 2 hot dogs cut in half it's comical. Aside from that, it's definitely a great date-night spot or a cozy place to catch up with the girls. First and foremost; I have to emphasize that this was a highly anticipated spot in both my friend and I's books so we went in with high expectations. Service: I would say there was not a single second where we didn't have someone check in on us, and in a bustling environment like that, it was so impressive that the team has one server to take our orders and everyone on the floor checks in! My friend and I were also impressed by our host GG who was honestly one of the coolest people I've met and carries the exact charisma you'd want at a place like Sloane's. Food: We did not eat any of the small bites as we went for drinks but the food menu was dynamic and had all the typical late night bites you would want to accompany martinis. The drinks on the other hard were curated to perfection and truly show stopping. The espresso martini was one of the best I've had and not too sweet. I definitely recommend this place if you are interested in cocktails that are slightly elevated in one flavor profile or another. The salt on the espresso martini definitely added some pizazz to the flavor. I went to Sloane's with a friend and sat at the bar. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with amazing energy and the sweetest bartender, Kiara. I had been up since 7 AM, so I started the night strong with an espresso martini. It was smooth, balanced, and exactly what I needed to reset and enjoy the evening. Later, we headed downstairs and ordered oysters. That's when I decided to switch it up and go dirty. I ordered a dirty martini, extra extra dirty, just how I like it. Kiara completely understood the assignment. You can see in the photo just how filthy that martini was, and I was very happy. The vibe at Sloane's is romantic and sexy. The lighting is low, the music sets the mood, and it's at a perfect volume where you can actually have a conversation without yelling. We were the only ones downstairs, but the energy was still so fun and welcoming. The oysters were fresh and delicious, and we shared plenty of laughs with the bartenders. This spot is definitely one of those places that makes you feel like you're exactly where you're supposed to be. Amazing drinks, beautiful vibe, great people. I had high hopes for Sloane's in SoHo, but my experience was beyond disappointing. If I could give zero stars, I would but that wasn't an option. On Jan. 30, despite having a reservation at the bar, we were told to wait before being brought upstairs--why take reservations if guests still have to wait? The food was where things really went wrong. We ordered the chicken nuggets, only to find that they were completely raw--bright pink throughout. When I pointed this out to our waitress, she immediately insisted it was "supposed to be that way because of the seasonings" before I could even finish. No, the chicken wasn't pink due to seasoning--it was just raw. I explained that I don't eat pink chicken, and while they did remove it from the bill, the way it was handled was concerning. The rest of the food was inconsistent. The cottage fries were good, but the Brussels sprouts were grilled yet somehow raw and ice cold. The crab cakes were unremarkable. For four drinks, an order of fries, cold/raw Brussels sprouts, and the raw chicken nuggets (which were comped), our bill came to $200--not shocking for NYC, but definitely not worth it given the experience. The service was mediocre from the start, and once we sent back the chicken without ordering a replacement, it got significantly worse. The waitress barely checked on us, and we had to go find her after waiting an hour. To top it off, we saw staff examining the chicken at the bar, making it clear they were discussing it in a way that felt unprofessional. I sent an email to Sloane's on Jan 31 detailing this experience, giving them a chance to respond and address the situation. To date, I have received no response. Despite everything, we still paid our bill and tipped the waitress. However, considering the risk of food poisoning from the raw chicken, I believe more should have been done to make up for the situation. With so many great restaurants in SoHo, I won't be returning to Sloane's and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. read more

Host literally followed us out because we left a tip of less than 20% for HORRIBLE service. We had a reservation and when we arrived on time, we were seated at a bar waiting for our table just to be told to sit at the table that was available the whole time?? Our waitress was the worst part of the experience. She only approached us when we sat down, never came to check on us. The bus boy cleaning up our table had to fetch her for us when we wanted to order food and get more drinks. She was at the bar with her back towards us the whole night. Food was great but everything took forever to come out, it took so long to get the bill back, we had to hunt the waitress down for that as well. Regardless of the terrible service, we left a tip. The host followed us exiting the restaurant and asked why we left a small tip and that it was uncommon as Sloanes is a "5 star" place. My response to that is the service should be 5 stars and it wasn't. Would not recommend this place to anyone and will not be returning. read more

Sloane's did not disappoint. Four of us walked in without a reservation and spoke to the man running the door for them. We just wanted a quick pre-dinner drink and he said we could have a table for 1hr which was perfect for our timing. The hotel entrance and Sloane's bar are gorgeous, they were going for your rich friend's apt look and they pulled it off. The heat was a little too high inside so we were all hot but drinks were good. The Trinidad Sour was mostly ice but tasty. Chicken nuggets were big and came with 3 dips.
