We needed new electrical panels installed because our HOA was super paranoid about getting dropped…read moreby our insurance. First it was Willow Glen electric & now it's Trout. I didn't appreciate the urgency (she said I needed it done asap, when I had at least 4 to 5 months). Aside from that, the communication from the project manager was competent & efficient. When Trout took over communication went haywire. During the city permitting process they said in their letter to me that I just needed to be home for (think the window was 8:30 to 9:45am). They said nothing about having to keep opening and closing my garage door access. Well, I refuse to use my PTO from work because they're not sure how long they're going to be, or the start and end times. So around 3 PM at work I got a frantic text from another (different) project manager asking me to open my garage. Well, hello, there is no power, so how can I open the garage? Finally, they got that sorted out and around 5 PM one of their techs asked me to open my garage. I never got a response back from him when I asked to confirm if he was done and I could shut it again (by the way, I was doing this remotely from work since I have an app.) Communication needs to greatly improve in order for me to recommend this business.

Fixed what 2 others couldn't figure out. Came back a week later to help fix another issue. Both…read morewere reasonable cost, done well and with clear explanations of the problems and what was repaired. Thanks Trout!

Bahram provided a free in-person assessment within a couple hours of our original inquiry. The quote was incredibly reasonable. On the day the work was performed, Bahram and Chris showed up on time, promptly completed the work, and even helped me install the ovens. Bahram also provided a great recommendation for a contractor to perform the drywall repair from the removed fluorescent fixture. I would strongly recommend Altap to anyone in the SJ area. We will definitely work with them again for future electrical work.

What I needed was a straightforward installation, yet some companies tried to make it seem far more complicated than it actually was. Their communication stood out--they were prompt, clear, and reliable. They arrived right on time and completed the installation exactly as requested, without any issues. The quality of the work looks great, and everything was handled smoothly. I'm very satisfied with the entire experience and would confidently recommend them to anyone in need of electrical work.

He was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what had failed and how the new motor would perform. The fan is now quieter than ever and works like it's brand new. Alex left the work area spotless and made the entire experience hassle-free. It's refreshing to find someone who takes pride in their work and genuinely cares about customer satisfaction. If you need service or repairs on a QuietCool fan, I highly recommend Alex. Excellent workmanship, fair pricing, and top-notch customer service!

This is a follow-up on my previous review where I said I ended up contracting Alex for another job,…read morewhich was to install a dedicated circuit for my computer. I really appreciated Alex's patience with me as I was discussing various different circuit types and the socket to use where I initially stated with thinking of a 120V 20A circuit with a 5-20r socket. He came up with an initial plan around cabling and circuit breaker required and we had agreed on it. Over a few days I felt I wanted more capacity for my computer and decided to go into the 240v / 30A range which would change the build requirements entirely; Alex was extremely adaptive, never complained, and we talked through what that would require and agreed on the new build-out which would use 10/3 wiring with an appropriate gcfi breaker. I wanted to use a specialized l6-30r that had a visual consumption display, which he was fine with and I would purchase. When evaluating the path he'd need to take to install the wiring, he was always insistent on doing it the right way and was honest when a particular route was outside his abilities and advised if I wanted a particular route done that someone with more specialization would be more appropriate. He also would go out to buy the proper materials and did not up charge on material cost; we agreed that I'll pay what the costs were as long as he had the receipts for them. Install of the 240v / 30A circuit was over a period of two days; he was 90% done the first day and the circuit was operational. Fortunately he didn't gave to drill through the wood beams to route cabling and managed to do it through the ceiling light openings instead. The remaining 10% was just patching and painting the walls. Alex was really good about covering areas with plastic sheeting for protection. I felt he removed the minimal amount of wall necessary to do the job. There was one snag on my end where he inspected the l6-30A socket with display I got and noted that the markings on the socket were really strange (it only had one hot, neutral, and ground input); we decided not to use it and he would go out and get the appropriate socket and also do a paint match for the walls. His paint job and patch work was amazing; I couldn't tell that it was worked on at all (aside from the really slight paint hue due to matching not being entirely perfect but you'd have to look close to determine that). He did a beyond good job that I was happy to include a significant tip in addition to our agreed upon labor rate. Would definitely work with Alex again!

David was not only very professional in his work, but was also very warm, down -to-earth, and non-intimidating to speak with. He addressed all my concerns. He even tried assisting me with correcting possible culprits over the phone. This was unheard of for me. I have never interfaced with any professional before who tried to help you over the phone for free! But David did. And I am truly thankful for that kindness. Electrical testing was now required to locate, repair and restore functionality. While here, he quickly got to work examining all the outlets and testing the panel. I left him to his work. The problem was discovered quickly, and he showed me why the power was not coming on. Fortunately, he had available with him the replacement part I needed which saved a trip to pick up the part. Worked like a charm! After 4 days of no power in the garage, I am truly a very happy camper! David verified that power was restored to an outdoor outlet that had stopped working as a result of the outage, as well as my alarm system. He offered great advice for things to be on the lookout for that could overload the system and trigger another outage. I will share my amazing experience with anyone I discover who need electrical work done. His services are also very reasonably priced. One of my friends has already declared JR Electric as their "Go To" for any future electrical needs. David and crew at JR Electric will always be mine.
