I wanted to plan a great bachelorette party for my best friend and had found La Faux here on Yelp. It seemed to have mixed reviews but it sounded very intriguing. My best friend wanted a bachelorette party that had a little bit of raunch but that wasn't a strip club and just wanted to have a good night. I had planned it about a month before the event and Karsten had always gotten back to me and returned my calls very quickly with all answers to my many many questions. I got the VIP tickets to make sure that all of our 6 group got to sit together, I also wanted to order the special surprise cake. I called the day of the appt to confirm with Karsten and he said that they had everything set up and ready to go! We arrived at 9pm and found a huge crowd, a ton of different bachelorette parties. We checked in and got our tickets and they said that they would call us up when they were ready to seat us. They called for the VIP guests and then we got seated pretty quickly, the seats are definitely packed in and it is definitely feeling a little sardine can but overall it was fine. Before the show started Karsten came out and brought our special surprise cake, my best friend was so shocked and it was a huge hit. Karsten personally hand delivered it and had a little fun with her and the cake. The show itself was AMAZING!!!! All of the divas were SO fantastic, we were all dancing in our seats and singing along with the acts. Pinks act was incredible, and I was so excited to see that she really did Aerial work! It was amaaaaaaazing! It was the perfect bachelorette party show for us and they all did such an amazing job. The only complaint that I had was that some of the servers seemed super attentive however ours seemed like it at first, but then we asked for some waters, she kept forgetting, we asked 3 times and still never received them. Which is the only reason I give this place 4 stars instead of 5. But Karsten and all the divas were just SO fantastic! At the end of the show you get to pay $15 to take a group photo and I definitely recommend it! Love this place and would definitely recommend for people to go again :) read more

I was there celebrating my sister's birthday and we got 2 VIP tickets- with dinner included. We paid $164 for two tickets and we got to seat on the first seat right in front of the stage. For dinner: I got the England clam chowder soup- which was perfect.I chose the stuff chicken came with mash potatoes and steam veggies, also perfect cooked. They are very generous with the portion of you they serve. So make sure you. One hungry. For drink I got a glass of wine. read more

This was my second time visiting Julia's on Broadway and staying for the show. I came here with Chariya and a group of 10 girls for a bachlorette party. There were so many groups celebrating something, but I saw a huge difference from the first time I went and this time. First of all, the tables we sat at were too small!! Which was inconvenient for me and my pregnant belly to feel comfortable sitting. I was constantly getting bumped by the person at the table behind me. I ordered the butternut squash and side salad. The side salad was good, but I was disappointed with the butternut squash. The waitress was constantly rushing us which was unprofessional. Once we were done with dinner, we waited outside for an hour and came back in to crappy seats. I could barely see anything and didn't enjoy the show at all. After this experience, I would not come back or recommend this place to anyone. read more

I went to Le Faux for my bachelorette party and it was amazing! The service was fantastic and the show was even better! We ate dinner at Julia's beforehand and then around 9, there was a room changeover to set the show seating up. It was a little hectic around that time, as everyone was herded into the bar, but the staff at Le Faux did a great job of remaining calm and organized during the chaos. After everyone was seated, the show got started. The MC of the show, Jinkx was hilarious! The show featured Celine Dion, Kesha, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Liza Minnelli, and my personal favorite performer of the night, Pink. I would highly recommend Le Faux for any special occasion :) read more

Eleven of my friends and I attended the show last night. The staff was very friendly. The food was fantastic!! I got chicken parm, much better than Olive Garden - loved the pesto spaghetti. The drink menu is extensive and cleverly named. They are a bit on the sweet side, but good. The show itself was fabulous. So much fun! Kristie Champagne was hilarious. The celebrity acts were entertaining. And the back up dancers were awesome. Definitely a well spent ladies night! read more

Best impersonator show in town! Great food and drinks too. I must say it's a bit pricey but that's expected for a place that has a show and dinner. Be prepared to have singles for your tipping pleasure for the performers. Service was great too! Great place to take your out of town guests if they like this kind of entertainment. I took my g/f to this show for her birthday last night and it was AWESOME! We had dinner reservations at 8:00 (which is the latest you want to get there if you want to be on time for dinner + show). The food was good, and Im usually really picky. The real strength of the show had to be our host Jinx Monsoon, who was hysterical and had us dying laughing. Robbie Taylor (Liza, Gaga) was also amazing and the gal played p!nk was also great and her rendition of "what makes a man" was really good. I cant believe people on here would even think to give this show anything less than 5 stars! I go to every event you can think of in Seattle and out of state and this is hands down one of the best shows I have ever seen. This is coming from a hetero male that has never been to anything like this in my life. Give these girls some credit, they kicked A$$! As for the service, we had a nice petitie brunette girl that was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of all night. I saw other patrons being served their alcohol very fast and had plenty of staff to take care of everyone. I quit drinking years ago, but I could tell everyone was more than satisfied with their service. This show is a MUST SEE for anyone that wants to go to something unique, take someone that has a good sense of humor and knows how to have a good time. I HIGHLY recommend this show and I cannot over state this. Everyone was leaving with smiles and still laughing on their way out the door from the performances. Jinx Monsoon, your "gangsta rap" had me cracking up and you killed it last night! You deserve much praise for putting on a great show and I rarely ever go out of my way to review someone like this. Went for the first time in April, completely LOVED it. Went again on Saturday, and was a little dissappointed. "Mama Tits" wasn't the host when we went in April, the Gaga drag queen was, and I thought he was funnier. The show was still great, (I cracked up at Mama Tits's song) but I didn't like the update to Gaga. Keep it classic with Poker Face and Just Dance. They performed just as amazing, but it was dissappoing to not have any of the good gaga music played. read more

My expectations might have been too high going to see this show. I had been to one other drag show in San Francisco at the famous Finocchio's Club. Tough act to follow I suppose. Right before the show starts they send someone around to break larger bills into singles. I was confused. Was that for a lap dance? The MC did her best to drive up the energy in the room only to have us sit through a lip syncing performance. The headliner closed her performance by shrieking around the stage like a child she saw on a YouTube video who couldn't hit the notes. The audience chuckled nervously. We didn't know if she was serious or going for a cheap laugh. It was uncomfortable to say the least. After each number the performer walks around expecting to be showered with dollar bills. At the end of the show they offer to take photos with you for $25.00. Unlike the Finocchio's Performers, who lined up by the door, and graciously thanked you for coming to their show. Fun, fun, fun...........took my 16 yr old daughter here to see "real Drag Queens" for a report that she was doing for school. We got 1/2 off tickets from Goldstar and had great seats. So they Lost our tickets and reservations so not the best way to start...but overall Amazing show, how those girls put that kinda of energy four/five days a week like that was awesome, just what you come to see. The show was pretty great. This was my fourth time attending in about 8 years. This time, Britney was somewhat disappointing (the song choices at least). But the same queen did Mariah Carey, which I loved! The T.Swift queen was phenomenal, and, at least from far away, looked EXACTLY like her. The drinks and food were incredibly overpriced - wayyy more than my last visit 2 years ago. The "blue balls" martini was supposed to come with fresh blueberries and didn't. And we had to pay $2 for water. Thank God for Groupon, or I would have been way more in the hole. =) read more

Show was interesting, but the person who greeted us was so rude, we asked her to change the glasses on our table, which was dirty and there were lipstick on them, she said it's not my job and then when my friend was telling it to our other friend, s/he came to us and aggressively said "is there something wrong here"! They also charge you for almost extra 10$ at the very end, which said it was tip! And they charged extra 2x10% to the tip bill as tax and tip again!! That's insane, nowhere makes you to pay a certain amount as tips, and also charge you for tax and tip on that again! And when we complained and refused to pay, they tried to call cops on us. I first saw Le Faux perhaps three or four years ago, and was disappointed. The cultural references felt dated (Ashlee Simpson? For real??) and the whole thing felt a little wearied. On a whim, I went and caught the show this weekend and -- WOW! What an improvement. I'm a fan of RuPaul's Drag Race, so of course seeing Shannel on stage was a treat, but the musical numbers were current and fun, and the banter with the crowd was witty and crude, just as it should be. I *loved* the back-up dancers, although they weren't always in-sync. Word to the wise: stay far away from the food, but enjoy the show! read more

Such a long time has passed since I've written a review... and, now, I've got a long backlog in my head! Haha. In any case, we went to watch Le Faux a few weeks ago, as a make-up dinner+show for missing a friend's bachelorette party. I know for sure that I will definitely have to cover my mother's ears through most of the intro and non-singing parts due to the barrage of what my mother terms "market language", but it was definitely quite fun. By the way, make sure your celebrant (if you're celebrating) has a good sense of humor. It's nice to be up and celebrated, but they'll be receiving quite the sass. I enjoyed myself thoroughly, and I think the other girls in our group did, too. The performers were awesome, the performances were awesome, and I loved the numbers they chose. Things I've learned for any future returns: getting ahead of the line even with priority seating is a hassle, it's going to be ok; bring more bills for tipping; sit up front, facing the stage, instead of BY the stage. When you sit by the stage, some of the performers will have their backs to you. By the way, boys in heels put me to shame. Not only can I not walk in those stilettos like they can, I can't balance on a chair in heels like I saw them do. read more

If you don't have fun at this show...you should just lock yourself inside your house for the rest of the year! These ladies are SO MUCH FUN! This was my second show. It was so much fun the first time, when my Mom came into town, my husband and I brought her to the Sunday brunch show. My Mom is a frail 75 and doesn't drink, and she smiled and clapped and danced in her chair the whole time. The amount of joy my little old Mom had during this show warmed my icy, mean-girl heart. The brunch show IS JUST AS GOOD as the night shows...in fact we even got to sing with the church choir for one religious hymn! Don't expect too much from the food, but do eat. (*note, I think my husband only goes for the warm cookie in the skillet...it's like heaven!) Bring, at very least, $20 in dollar bills to tip the performers...in fact, tip the goods ones $5s. They're amazing, and if you like to have fun this is the place for you! *I am also coming back in a few weeks with a group of girlfriends for my best friends bachelorette party....I can't wait. read more

I did enjoy the show, it was fun overall. However, if I am basing this review solely on the quality of the show I would say that I've seen better. I know these performers work their butts off to make the show, this is not to discredit their ability to entertain. I really loved the host and found her hilarious. The music and performers really get the crowd going and we really did have a good time. We ordered the penis cake for a person in our group and it was incredibly awkward, but still funny. One reviewer mentioned the lack of resemblance between the drag queens and the celebrities they were attempting to impersonate. I noticed this too. I have seen drag queens that were incredibly believable, so it's difficult to come back from that once you've seen that level of entertainment. The drag show "La Boy La Femme" in Louisville (surprising I know) is another show I've been too and they put on (save for 1 or 2) an impeccable show. I just expected even better in Seattle. One thing I noticed was that you are not allowed to order drinks other than what is on the drink menu at Julia's. I don't know if this is a restaurant decision or not, but either way keep that in mind if you are going there for a night of entertainment. read more

Wow, went to this show last night and the Drag Queens were awesome. Such presence you can only feel in person. We had some light eats beforehand, plus dessert, and drinks. Food was fine, drinks were fine. We were there for the show. This was the first drag show that I have ever been to, and I want to go back. Love the up close & personal type of entertainment. We planned to have my wife's 50th Birthday here and her friends purchased VIO tickets for the 8:00 PM show $65.00 each. The website advertises that it can sit parties of 15 together. I called and confirmed and was told the facility could accommodate our party size. When we arrived we waited in the lobby and I informed the host that we were here. He told us he wasn't seating parties yet. Then we noticed other parties being seated and I came to notify the host. He told me he didn't have enough tables to seat my party together. He also was missing the records of two of the purchased tickets. When I looked into it and shows him the receipts, he said I purchased the tickets for the wrong night and there was nothing he could do. He said "it happens all the time because the website is not user friendly, but he cannot prove we did not go to the wrong show. I ended up spending over $175 on tickets for my wife and I and he made me purchase another ticket. Then we were put in a very cramped space, the guests were all very uncomfortable- definitely not compliant with all body sizes. He put our large party of 14 in a small space to sit 12. It took awhile for us to get served dinner right before the show. My wife did have a good time, but the seating was stressful. I had to pay for an extra ticket and the host would not refund the ticket purchased in error on the wrong day. I will say that the drag performers were wonderful, but I won't do this again, especially for large party and paying so much for "VIP" ticket read more

I brought my sisters bachelorette party here and it was amazing! The performance was absolutely worth every penny we spent to be there. We booked last minute so we were lucky that they had room for all of us. I recommend booking more than a few weeks in advance if you have a bigger group of people. I can not emphasize enough how amazing the performance and whole experience was! The Taylor Swift act was spot on! As well as the P!nk act, my goodness they were incredible! It pains me a little to write this review because my low rating has nothing to do with the performers and EVERYTHING to do with the customer service (or lack thereof) that my friends and I received when we went there on Friday. I purchased these tickets at a charity auction, meaning that Julia's or the producers of Le Faux donated tickets to an important cause, and I bought them in support of that same cause. However, when we arrived at Julia's with VIP tickets in hand after having made reservations weeks in advance, the first thing we were told by the man that appeared to be in charge (tall, bald, white, German man) was that he would not seat us because my 2 friends were sitting in the bar eating. He then went on to say that he'd TRY to hold our 4 reserved seats but couldn't guarantee anything. I replied that my friends would gladly move their own food to a table in the performance space, but he still refused to seat us. When I finally insisted, so that we wouldn't lose our reserves seats, that he at least seat me and one other member of our party while my other 2 friends finished eating in the bar, he did seat us but in a very rude and rushed manner, seating us in some extremely cramped, not very VIP-like seats. We asked to be moved to seats that had at least a little cocktail table in between them as we could see quite clearly that they were open and we intended to order appetizers and drinks, but they guy said he wouldn't move us because we had "gotten the tickets for free". Let me be clear, we PAID for our 4 VIP tickets, we paid MORE than the value of them. So we told him that, but his response was to spin around on his heel and walk away from us without a word. My question to Julia's and/or Le Faux is this: Why would you donate tickets to your establishment/show to a non-profit organization, then treat the people who win your donation like total shit??? If it pains you that badly to donate, then DON'T DO IT. All four of us felt completely insulted by the way this man treated us and he is the one reason I would never go back to this show. Because I don't want to do harm to the amazingly talented cast of Le Faux, I must say that they were incredible! The costumes, the epic group choreographies, the DRAG...all fantastic! The moral of the story, the way you treat your customers matters. It matters a lot. read more

Mama tits and the performers at Le Faux are top notch. I hosted a bachelorette party for my bestie, and our evening ended with catching the show here at Julia's on Broadway. Mama tits in her full regalia was greeting people at the door, she was feisty, fantastic, and willing to pose with our tipsy-selves in photos adding to the magic of the evening. This show features aerial artists, dancing, and a hilarious host. Our group bought VIP seating and was right up near the stage. At the beginning of the show Mama tits brought anyone who was celebrating the night up on the stage for a mini-interview, this is great if you want to embarrass a birthday girl, or a bachelorette as Mama tits is a force to be reckoned with. The drag queens each did a phenomenal job the costumes, lighting and choreography were divine. Our night featured an opening number, and performances tributing Celine Dion, Keisha, Pink, Liza, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Cher, and Michael Jackson. If you get VIP seats you get to pose with the entire cast for a take-home photo, a fun way to commemorate a great night out. Thank you Mama tits, and the cast of Le Faux. read more

I came to Le Faux to celebrate one of my best friends' Bachelorette party. We came at 7:30 for dinner and were going to stay for the show! This was my 2nd time at Le Faux after going there 2 years prior for my birthday and I struggled about writing this review, because the PERFORMERS and that portion of the show was wonderful. Especially our new friend Alex the jello shot guy! However, our wonderful experience came with some mighty bad ones. The waitress we dealt with was rude to us most of the night. She acted as though we were a hassle and the way she talked to us at times was unacceptable for a place you are spending $35 a ticket, spending $$$ on drinks AND buying tons of food. We were not doing anything rude or unacceptable, just having a good time and enjoying the show. We didn't order fast enough, we didn't turn our chairs around fast enough, we forgot to turn our flash off our cameras and she hissed at us over it...But then it becomes worse. After the show they invite you on stage to pay $10 to take a photo with the cast. So we did! We went up there, handed over our cash, and they took two photos on my camera. Our time on stage was over and this is when one of the employees become pushy. We were not behaving in a way that warranted anyone putting their hands on us, nudging us off. The employee was being rude for no reason and as I approached the stairs to exit the stage, I was rushed/nudged off the stage onto the stairs and I jarred my knee. This was on a Saturday night. I went to the doctor on Monday and I was diagnosed with a severely sprained knee and possible torn ligaments. If I don't heal in two weeks, the doctor will need an MRI. If I need surgery to repair torn knee ligaments, I'll be contacting a lawyer to address my medical costs. In the meantime, I now have to deal with an injury, at work, and at home with a two year old. I am unable to bend my knee as it is very uncomfortable, but so is having to keep it constantly elevated and straight. All because their employee abused their power, or took out their bad night on me/us, or whatever the reason, it was unnecessary. So let this serve as a warning for you going to Le Faux. Watch your back. (Again, I give the show 4 stars! The first time I came it was better, but they are still pretty amazing. Also, what's worse about the time on stage? The photos didn't turn out at all, they are all shakey and blurry. I assumed I would LOVE this. And, well, I did love parts of it. Some of the impersonators are ridiculously good, and the host(ess) is, if unnecessarily crude at times, fantastic. But the show runs horrifically, painfully long, much of it simply *isn't* very good, and for me and cuzfriend, it became really monotonous after awhile. It didn't help the eve that where we were seated (preferred seating, facing the stage, not directly on the aisle), service eluded us once the show began. So we each had a drink with dinner, ordered again before the show started (thank goodness!), had our water taken (they pick up all water glasses and you have to buy a bottle of water during the show... really?), and then sat dry once we finished our second drink for nearly two hours. Why not just get up and order at the bar, you ask? I was able to get up (hey, I'm a 46 year old woman... which means I HAD to get up eventually.... and all over 40s in the house said "amen"), but created a major interruption for the guests seated next to me and those behind them to do so. Plus, the performers use the aisle throughout the show, and if your timing isn't just right... well, there are going to be some real unhappy drag queens up in your grill. So upon my return, I didn't even try to get back to my seat. I parked it on a stool in the back until the show was over... which sucked just a wee bit since my PARTNER for the evening was still at our table. On the upside, we had a guy couple (it seemed) to our left who were really enjoyable company. On the downside, we had a guy couple directly in front of us at our table (backs to us to watch the show) whose continual making out throughout the show blocked my cuzfriend's view repeatedly. Classy. Dinner was absolutely ok, as were the drinks. The server was adorable and did a good job (while buried in patrons) until the show started. And the very last act, "What Makes a Man," was cool enough to warrant the Goldstar ticket purchase. Bottom line: I think my memory of this thing would be pretty good if we'd have stayed for the first hour then moved on. (Although then we'd have missed that last act...) Hard to just give them a "meh," though, because some of those hard-working performers were far from it. They alone bump the thing up a star. read more

I have always loved the movie Birdcage and To Wong Fu with Love Julie Newmar and this show was like experiencing it live. The show didn't start on time, it was supposed to begin at 10 but was closer to 10:30. They opened up the velvet curtains to our seats. A word of advice add some cushions to the wooden chairs for some comfort-maybe I just don't have enough cushion on my rear but after awhile my rump felt numb. The show was excellent. They have a very small stage to work with and they did a fantastic job. A word of advice it is not for bible thumping heterosexuals. They start out the show very crudely but it is funny so if you are offended easily go late. The performers do acrobats-hanging from a suspended sheet in the ceiling doing the splits(dejavu to last weekend). They do comedy like Lucile Ball which was my favorite. Also expect to see Cher, Gwen, Madonna, Brittany, Marilyn and a naked tan rear to name a few highlights. Great backup dancers. It was amazing and fun. The drinks are served with little glow sticks. It was very entertaining. We have to do this again-this time just the girls. I want to return on a Thursday for the vamps and vixens performance. read more

Overall the experience was okay. VIP status is a complete joke the fact that Julia's on Broadway chose to raise the prices to simply cover the over head of Shannel and only see her perform twice in an hour and a half is a rip off. The VIP status should at least receive a complimentary adult beverage or gift instead of being too close to the stage you can not see anything and are deaf from a confetti cannon or you're close enough to where the drag queens demand that you tip. I would ask for my money back but I chose to support Taylor, Shannel, and the charity Julia's was sponsoring that night. The main point here is I could have gone to another venue paid a third of the cost and seen a much better show as well as much better seating or at least move the VIP section to where the confetti cannon isn't going to deafen you when it goes off. read more

Maybe I'm spoiled by all the LA queens and drag shows that are flawless, but to me, this show was not good. All but one of the queens looked nothing like the celebrities they were impersonating. I also feel that the show is very confused about exactly what it wants to be; Vegas style revue, Cirque de Soleil knock off, or exotic dancing. It is also a HORRIBLE idea to have biological women dance in skimpy outfits next to drag queens, as it makes the illusion harder to believe. The staff was friendly, the seats were very uncomfortable, and my eardrums ached from all the straight girls screaming. The place was packed, so they're obviously catering well to their target audience. Not for me. read more

I'm a huge fan of drag and cabaret and always will be - but the experience I had at Le Faux last weekend left me ice cold. The two stars I give this review go entirely to Robbie Turner - one for Liza and one for Gaga - he is by far the BEST thing this show has going for it! The level of refinement, fun, charisma and true star-power he brings to the stage is not matched by any of the other performers and we need to see him on stage MORE! The rest of the show, while it has its moments, left me disappointed and hugely frustrated by the fact that the producers and host in particular seem so invested in mediocre staging, crass - insensitive - inappropriate and even hateful or racist remarks during the monologue and spoken interludes between numbers. While the host Mama Tits is quite a sight in her larger than life appearance, watching her make fun of the women brave enough to take the stage (on their birthdays or bachelorette parties, nonetheless!) was heartbreaking. I was glad that none of my girlfriends were on stage this past Saturday in particular - seeing Mama Tits make fun of their weight, their looks, their clothes and other not-so-subtle "humor" about their shortcomings was simply lame and entirely uncalled for. Pull it together, Mama - I know you're better than that! We pay $25 to see a great show - and in the center of Seattle's gay neighborhood I would expect a little more support and open-mindedness. Instead that 25 dollars gets you a show with some great moments (thanks Robbie!) and other moments that may leave you wanting to pack up and go home because you were just berated by a drag queen. I even saw a woman I was seated near pack up and leave after the first 25 minutes, and can only suspect that its because of the tasteless content of the looooonnnnnnngggggggg monologue. I'm hoping things turn around with this show because it has great potential - and with some re-casting and true professionalism it could be Seattle's pride and joy. read more

Le Faux features a number of very talented dancers and performers in a really cool spot on Broadway. I took my mother and my partner there last night for dinner and a show, and came in with high expectations. The performers are incredible at times. The highlight of the night was the aerial work by the Pink impersonator -- I think the athleticism topped what Pink was capable of. The hostess, Kristy Champagne, had great stage presence, and was very funny. On the other hand, Cher was listless, and seemed to be working on Xanax that night. The manager was kind and charming, and made sure we felt comfortable, and made a point of introducing us to the people next to us. My mom made conversation with them throughout the night. Finally, the waitress kept us stocked with drinks and dinner, and was pleasant and fun. The food and cocktails were serviceable; the penne pasta was tasty, and in a portion that was larger than I could eat. My partner enjoyed his cheeseburger. The menu could probably use a creative update or two, but is adequate. This is a great place to take your bachelorette party. There must have been six different groups of young ladies, shouting and drinking at the performers, raising the room's energy. Unfortunately, the seating is packed very tightly, and two of the banshees were literally screaming in my ears. The hostess encouraged them to scream, and we spent most of the performance with our index fingers jammed into our earlobes. The acoustics could use some work as well, as I wasn't able to hear the lyrics to which the drag performers lip-synched. Also, for some inexplicable reason, some of the stage lights point back into the audience, and come on from time to time blinding you. The noise and the lights began to give me a headache, and we left halfway through the performance. At midnight, I popped some ibuprofen before going to bed, somewhat disappointed in myself for spending $240 on the evening between tickets, drinks and cocktails. In short, go, but bring a huge wad of cash, sunglasses and earplugs to protect yourself from the sound and the noise. Then sit back, and enjoy the incredibly hard working, talented performers in this talent lab before they move onward to bigger and better things. read more

I'm sincerely conflicted. The show itself was pretty great. Cher and her costumes were amazing. Beyonce was brilliant. Lady Gaga and the host were hot. Worth the $25. If I were rating on that alone, I'd give it 4 stars. However, the business practices of this establishment are complete and utter bull *ahem* crap. We ate dinner before the show, guaranteeing us the ability to get in first and save seats (you must do this if you are going with a big group, it's the only way to sit together). During dinner, a gin and tonic was around $5 or $6 Once seated, I went to the bar. Again, a G&T was the same price. However, when seated during the show, I ordered drinks from the waiter to avoid being a nuisance and bothering other patrons by getting up. I was surprised to get my check - $50 for five drinks when multiples were well G&Ts. The waiter and I looked at the bill together. Turns out Julia's serves you top shelf liquor - Hendricks - when you're seated at the show for an $8 drink (though Hendricks is my friend's favorite and she said it tasted nothing like Hendricks). The waiter said well is only $.50 less. Doesn't compute with the bar prices. So if I had stood up during the show and walked the extra 20 steps to the bar, I would have saved $2 or $3 a drink. After that, I tipped the waiter $4 as I figured it wasn't his fault - it was the businesses (not quite a dollar a drink, I know but given the circumstances....) To which he actually groaned. Another member of our party did not tip him on the two drinks she ordered because of a service snag. To which he came back and asked whether anything was wrong with her service, then told her never to come back. Customer Service? I don't think so. Basically, Julia's preys on your desire to not upset other patrons and the fact that you are likely to be tipsy once you leave. Not cool for a business. My verdict: Le Faux needs to find another venue! read more

I went to this show the other night. It's a fun show and the performers were great at what they did and clearly put a lot of effort into it. My biggest disappointment was that the perfromances they chose to do weren't that exciting...I loved Cher and Liza, but all the Pink/Britney/etc. stuff was a snooze-fest, as was the ballad medely). I would have much preferred to see some more old-school stuff (a cone-bra-era Madonna, maybe) and more cheekiness. Loved the aerialist! The rest of this is more about Julia's than Le Faux. The servers were insanely slow with drinks, and the drinks we received were incredibly weak. I actually don't know how so much of the audience seemed to be so drunk -- they must have drunk quite a bit before they got there. read more

I am reviewing the "Evening at Le Faux" and "Queen of the Brunch" shows - These are some of the hardest working performers I have ever seen. There is much thought put into the production, lighting and costumes. I have been multiple times and have never seen the same show twice. They keep it very fresh and entertaining. I especially enjoy the mimosas on Sundays - the pitcher is a great deal if you share with someone (they are strong). I can't review the food as I've not eaten much there, but what I've seen, it looks good. What's most important here is that you get as much as you give. The owner is very visible and always wants to make things right. You don't ask, you don't get - so don't be afraid to let someone know if they can do something a little extra to make your experience a memorable one. A smile, kindness and a fun attitude go a LONG way here. This a great place for celebrations. The Fri & Sat night shows are a little more adult in nature, but the Sunday drag brunch is all ages and the queens know when to tone down the salty dialogue if there are younger fans in the audience. Highly recommend for a fun night out or to spice up a lazy Sunday afternoon!! read more
