Still loving Le Grand for an amazing 5 for $25 menu with great small plate options! (After 5 visits now.) They made a few changes, but still the best value in town for both food and drinks. The small plates are not very small, so 5 really fill me to the brim. They are so reasonably priced, that they are a deal even ordered individually. The cocktail variety has been fun. The ambiance is beautiful! The bar has a very social vibe. And the servers are excellent. My favorites are the Hummus Plate, due to the crunchy little pita triangles and the fresh lemony hummus w/kalamata olives, and the Caesar Salad with its creamy anchovy dressing! The wild mushroom and the pesto raviolis were also delicious! Meatballs are tender and flavorful. My only issue has been seating. Definitely get a reservation if you're not dining at the bar! We came in very early (4ish?) on a Saturday (drove 45 minutes just to introduce my parents to the restaurant) and even though the very large restaurant and patio were both quite empty at that time, without a reservation they would not seat our party of 3 anywhere inside or out, except the bar. My parents are 78, so the bar is not the most comfortable for them (though that has always been where I sat, so didn't know they were so strict about reservations).

I returned to Le Grand in Pasadena for another delicious dinner. Since my last visit, they have changed their food menu and they now have 5 tapas for $25 all day. Fantastic move! I love it! I didn't have reservations so I sat at the bar instead. I was able to order food and drinks from there. It saved me some wait time. Yay! My 1st 5 tapas were truffle arancini, Hawaiian sando, chicken tacos, cauliflower steak, and pesto ravioli. I later added my 2nd 5 tapas... chicken wings, elote corn, meatballs, penne bianca, and chicken parmesan. I also got the unlimited mocktails. Yeah, I went all out that night and treated myself a wonderful and delicious meal LOL. Every tapa was very tasty. If I was to pick my top 3, it would be the cauliflower steak, truffle arancini, and pesto ravioli. If I had to choose my least 2, it would be penne bianca and chicken parmesan. There is a list of premium tapas for $3 more per tapa. For example, if you got 5 premium tapas, it would be $25 plus $15 (5 tapas x $3) totaling $40 plus tax and tip. Hope this makes sense. The best part is that you may take what's remaining to-go. Compared to the unlimited dining experience, you have to eat it all here... no take home. I prefer the former than the latter any day. Since I was at the bar, my server was the bartender. All the bartenders were very friendly and nice. Service was all around amazing. Btw, they all share the tips at the bar which is great. All in all, I had a wonderful dining experience. I will definitely return to get some more tasty tapas and delightful mocktails in a romantic ambiance. Thank you Le Grand Pasadena! P.S. If you want a table, it's best to make reservations. Otherwise, you may wait at the bar until a table is available or just sit at the bar.

My new favorite place for group dinners and holiday parties. I have been there 3 times in two weeks and almost tried every single item on the menu! The unlimited tapas dinner for $49 was a good deal for a group of friends. We decided to share everything and ordered three of the items that we liked. The mussel was the most popular item; we ordered a total of 10 plates. The second most popular item was the expresso rib, followed by the tuna tataki and elote corn. For the $25 lunch for 5 items, the munu selection is smaller than the dinner menu, mussels, rib and tuna are premium items and need to ordered with additional $3. The $49 unlimited option would be a better deal in that case! One thing we noticed is the group ordering system. The server did not keep track of each guest's five items, and the food came in random order. You had to look for the items that you ordered. The $27 unlimited cocktail package included pretty drinks that were very light and filled with crushed ice. We had five unlimited cocktail packages with dinner and had to wait a long while for our drink orders. Overall, it is a fun place to have group gatherings or happy hours. 2 hours FREE parking validation at check out.

Parking is inside by the building that validates for two hours. Good to know since last time I had to find street parking. Festive entrance with the Christmas theme and love the open space entry. Leo was the host at hand and made sure my folks and I had a pleasant tapas. We ordered the 25$ tapas and everything came out decent. I would say the ribs and the chicken wings are salty so be wary of that. Chicken was dry on the chicken Parmesan but the pasta was delicious. Dessert was amazing. Can't say no to dessert. Great overall and will come to try the entrees

Le Grand is a brand new restaurant with a unique concept, all-you-can-eat small plates. They serve dinner and brunch that way. I tried them at Happy Hour because you can get 5 small plates for $25 and I thought it would be a way to try their menu without fully committing to the more luxurious AYCE pricing. Three of us dined and we ended up order 3 of the HH deal. In other words, 15 of the small places for $75. This was an excellent way to canvas the menu and we certainly got a taste of what we liked. Our favorites were: - Braised Beef on Mash - great portion, tender beef, good sauce - Wild Mushroom ravioli - espresso ribs - very tender, big portion - salmon fritto Fine: anything fried: arancini, onion rings most of their pastas: gnocchi in vodka sauce kachapuri - big and bready chicken parm Skip: Cesar salad Tuna tataki - small portion, kind of salty b/c overdressed Chorizo and mussels - small Chicken Tikka Masala - more thai style with coconut milk. We also ordered this AYC Drink mocktail option which was fun. We were able to try to hibiscus-ade, sparkling cucumber, and pineapple and coconut cream. The bar is slow so 3 drinks were the max I was able to order in the time we were there. if I had gotten 1-2 more, it would have felt like a better value.

Soooo came here for my mom's friend bday and it was a TERRIBLE experience. First I would start off with the valet service that was insane and crazy for the price after 2 hour limit. If you go over that time they will charge $1.50 fit every two mins. Ok so the service was not good ...our water wss not patient and vane off as rude. Since they gave all you can eat for $49.99. And if you have a party everyone has to be on the same offer for a la carte or buffet. Since everyone requested a La carte that is what we all preferred. I did not eat because the menu was not to my liking. They also have all you can drink between $25. 00 -$27.000 -Marshay D So I decided to just get wine,... However, it was very nice with decor and spacious! We were in the private room for two hours, which can be longer and not apply a strict rule for it. But anyways, what TOPS the cake is when the valet guys took my sister keys home and she had to wait for the longest. I feel that this is very tacky and unprofessional , which they should have never done. They shower no empathy either. This definitely ruined the night. However, I am not sure I will come back here! I think it needs a lot of improvement and better deals or other types of deals, better customer service and valet services. -Marshay -

I decided to come here for their happy hour menu, which offers 5 items for $25. They also have unlimited tapas for $49.99--a good deal if you're hungry! Some of the tapas can be shared, like the pasta dishes. My favorites included the smash sliders, which came with one slider, the cheese & charcuterie, and the gnocchi. The interior was very aesthetic. There's paid street parking

Stopped by for brunch a few weeks ago and to our surprise they had an all you can eat for 49.99 a person. Now everyone at the table does have to chose that same menu if one person wants it. Worth it though especially with if you're having bottomless mimosas. We tried several items like meatballs, salad,, chicken and waffles, ribs. They have quiet a few items to try from. Zena was our waitress and she was sweet as could be. Very informative! Parking was easy you can valet we arrive for our reservation early and our party was not all there and couldn't be seated but if we were we would've been escóteles to our table right away. Over all I enjoyed it and would be back to enjoy this menu. See you all soon, Thank you!

Great food that is reasonably priced, attentive staff and beautiful interiors. Can't ask for more. That's why we keep coming back. Those tapas are delicious. We love the Adjarian khachapuri so much. And the unlimited cocktail option is one I always take. Love this place.

Was excited to try this place but was sorely disappointed after. Although you're getting "unlimited" tapas with the $49/pp option, it felt wasteful as most of the food was subpar and almost inedible. We had a party of 4 and were allowed to order 12 items (3 per person) at a time for the table, trying almost everything on the hodge podge menu. The only items I sort of enjoyed were the sliders, wild mushroom ravioli, and the fried items. Unlimited drinks options are additional and not included with the $49 price. The restaurant is located where Del Frisco's used to be off Lake. Park on the streets nearby or valet at the restaurant. Although we had a reservation and the restaurant was quite empty, the host didn't seat us until our entire party arrived. There is a young man that goes around and takes cheesy photos of your table and then haggles you to buy them as if you're on a cruise, which was I thought was bizarre. For a Thursday evening, the vibe was somewhat drab. The service was lackluster and to be honest, the whole dining experience was underwhelming. Glad I tried it, but definitely not a place where you'd go back often or even go back at all.

I love the $49.99 unlimited tapas style dining. Our service was amazing , it's super cute inside and the food is delicious. It's a great way to try a little bit of this and a little bit of that. They are vegetarian friendly and gluten free friendly as well.

I was really excited to try the unlimited tasting experience after seeing many viral videos but it unfortunately did not live up to it's expectations. The interior feels like a fine dining experience, and on a Friday night the restaurant was packed. With a large group we were seated in a room at the back of the restaurant. Everybody was really skeptical about the service due to poor reviews but our server Monse was extremely attentive and helpful. She made sure to explain the menu & check in on us consistently. I would give 5 stars for her service alone! The food was no more than mediocre. For a meal that costs $50 per person, a majority of the items served to us were a miss. There were some notable items but nothing was good enough to justify the price point of this meal. To start with the good, the ribs were tender and flavorful, however they were served with a giant scoop of coleslaw that was not good. Tuna tataki was nice and fresh. Onion rings & buffalo wings were also decent but I would hope those are items that you cannot mess up. Cheese boat was something different but it was a nice fresh cheesy bread with egg in it. The gnocchi tasted worse than frozen gnocchi, mushy and flavorless. Beef brisket was served with the smallest amount of beef on a bed of bland mashed potatoes. Arrabiata shrimp had overcooked gummy shrimp, and watery spaghetti. A friend ordered the hummus & falafel and it was practically inedible. And somehow even the caesar salad was said to be a miss. The elote and mussels were both sold out by the time we sat which was unfortunate since most of us wanted to try those items. I think this is a good concept but the quality of the food could be better for its price point. It was nice to experience once but I do not see myself coming back or recommending this to anybody else.

I habe been wanting to make it to the Le Grand in DTLA so you can only imagine when I found out there is a Le Grand closer to me in Pasadena. They have a happy hour 5 items for $25, so we ordered two. We walked into the gorgeous restaurant. It's perfect for a date or to enjoy with the family. FYI, there is also a photographer going around. The service was amazing, the food just kept coming non stop. What we ordered: 1. Tuna tataki 2. Chorizo mussels 3. Chicken tikka masala 4. Expresso pork ribs 5. Fettuccine chicken Alfredo 6. Gnocchi allá vodka 7. Red wine braised beef brisket 8. Adjarian khachapuri 9. Elote street corn 10. Steak cut onion rings My favorite was the tuna tataki lightly seared, sesame crusted, ponzu sauce, citrus, scallions and rice chia! Check it out and cheers!

First off, I have to praise 1933 group because I have loved every single bar they have revitalized and this one is no different. In keeping with their MO, The Lucky Tiki is a speakeasy with a vintage vibe. I won't give away how to get in but let's just say, it's near the front of Highland Park Bowl. My husband and I didn't have a reservation, but we were able to put our name in and got seated about an hour or so later. I was amazed as soon as I walked in the door! It's just floor to ceiling decorated with everything tiki. So many fun details and even interactive elements that turn on when a particular drink was ordered. That was probably my favorite part honestly. We ordered the Tiki Diablo, which is a large tiki drink with a flaming volcano. And yes it does have an interactive element. It was really good. Very fruity and strong, but not overly so. Service was excellent. Our waitress was on it and even waited to make sure my husband was back from the bathroom before lighting our drink on fire. We didn't try any food this time, but a lot of people were ordering the Hawaiian pizza. Do with that what you may. Will definitely be back ti try more drinks and food. Was the perfect spot for a lively date night!

I'm a second-generation Irish-American from New York, and St. Patrick's Day has always meant something in my family. Growing up it was about heritage, family, and a little joy. Now that I have two daughters of my own -- very Irish-looking girls who are proud of their roots -- I wanted them to experience some of that same Irish pub spirit. So on St. Patrick's Day 2025, I took them to Griffin's of Kinsale in South Pasadena. They were so excited to be there -- the decorations, the music, the feeling of a real Irish pub. For a moment I thought, this is going to be a great memory for them. We came early because it was a school night. The restaurant was busy -- which is understandable on St. Patrick's Day. I ordered three salmon dinners for my daughters and myself. The bill came to about $150. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. Over an hour and a half. During that entire time: * No one warned us the kitchen was backed up when we ordered. * No one checked on our table. * No updates. * No communication at all. Had someone simply said "Just so you know, food may take an hour or more tonight," I could have made a different decision -- especially with two kids who had school the next morning. Instead we sat downstairs watching the clock while the evening disappeared. By the end of the night my daughters -- who had been so excited walking in -- were tired, hungry, and miserable. When I asked to speak with a manager, no one came. No explanation. No apology. Restaurants get slammed on holidays. Kitchens fall behind. That happens. But ignoring a table for 90 minutes -- especially a family with children -- isn't a busy night. It's bad management. What should have been a fun St. Patrick's Day memory for my daughters turned into a long, uncomfortable evening where we felt completely invisible. For a place that trades so heavily on Irish identity and hospitality, this was about as far from hospitality as you can get. Save your $150 and celebrate St. Patrick's Day somewhere that actually wants you there. And if management would like to explain how a family ends up waiting 90 minutes with no communication, I'd genuinely be interested to hear it.

We sat inside and had a great time catching up. It's always a fun time when the Sisters B get together.

We came in around 6:30. They had just opened but the atmosphere was ready! Dark and moody with candles on the table, it was the perfect spot to grab a drink and catch up. Jeremy was our bartender and he was fantastic. Super chill and friendly and made us some amazing drinks based on a few preferences. Our "bartenders choice" drinks were amazing, so much so that our "drink to end the night" turned into two drinks and some appetizers. We ordered taquitos and mozzarella sticks. Overall all three of us ladies loved this place! We definitely plan to be back! Let Jeremy make you a drink - you won't regret it. He makes them custom for you and he definitely knows what he is doing. *they do ask for a password which you can request on their website... but I would do that 24-48 hours before you plan to visit. We came right when they opened so it was very empty, but the bartender mentioned it gets really packed and lively on weekends. If I came back and was able to guess the password I'd stop by when it's more energetic for a different vibe.

Grandma's Purse, which features miso-infused Suntory, butterscotch, and 5 spice, was surprisingly savory and not sweet. As a I grew up in Highland Park I took my wife to visit The Arroyo Club bar to celebrate her recent promotion after the bar was recommended to us by a close friend. We were looking forward to a fun evening and decided to participate in the trivia game being hosted that night. After receiving an answer sheet from the host, Matt, my wife and I began playing. The trivia topic was based on an older television show that we were unfamiliar with, and we initially used our phones to look up answers. A male individual approached us and informed us that using our phones was considered cheating. We accepted that explanation, stopped using our phones, and continued playing. Later in the evening, I observed bartender Justin speaking with the same individual and appearing to provide him with answers. When I questioned how that was different from what we had been told not to do, Justin stated that it was not cheating because they were part of a group. I responded that it was only a game and not a serious issue, especially considering my wife and I had only accumulated a few points. At that point, the interaction became uncomfortable. Justin informed the host that my wife and I should be disqualified for cheating, despite the fact that we had stopped using our phones when instructed. The employee who had originally confronted us also became increasingly confrontational, which my wife and I found intimidating. I later asked another bartender, Zach, what the concern was, and he explained that the winning prize was $50. While I understand the importance of maintaining fair rules, the way the situation was handled felt unnecessarily hostile and embarrassing. What made the experience even more disappointing was that we appeared to be the only minority guests present at the time, and we observed other patrons using their phones without being confronted. This left us feeling singled out and unwelcome. My wife attempted to discuss how the situation made us feel with a female bartender who had blue hair. Unfortunately, her reaction appeared dismissive, and our concerns did not seem to be taken seriously. As we prepared to leave, the employee who had initially confronted us remained nearby staring in our direction, which further contributed to our discomfort. For reference, we were seated at the right corner of the bar if you were facing the bar from the front. I am not seeking compensation. Rather, I hope management will review the events of that evening, including any available security footage and discussions with staff members present. No guest should leave feeling targeted, embarrassed, or unwelcome while simply trying to enjoy a night out celebrating a special occasion.

Had a dinner reservation with some girlfriends celebrating two of their birthdays. The restaurant itself isn't too big but it does a pack a nice punch. Cute patio out front that takes some of the sidewalks and streets. Plenty of heat lamps which helped with the chilly nights. We got seated at one of the tables on the patios which was nice. Didn't really utilize inside area except for the restroom which it's quite cute in there. The rooms were pretty well decorated and executed. Nice bar area too. Like mentioned, we got seated on the patio and the heat lamps were great. Down to the menus, it's quite limited on dishes. Seemed like there were more shared plates versus the entrees. Drinks, it was fairly decent with their cocktails and wine. Service at the beginning was great. The staff were amazing and very friendly. We didn't order right away as we were still waiting for the last one to show. But did start off with some drinks. It didn't take that long for the first round which was nice. Food wise, the shared plate was a mixture of everything. Some of the olives, which is exactly what it is. The Belgian fries, nice thick cut fries with shredded pecorino cheese and a nice aioli sauce. We ended up getting a second order of it. The albacore tuna crudo was a hit which was really tasty. Chili ginger relish, mint and shallot, can't go wrong with that. Lastly the meatballs, tasty and very great for sharing. Entrees, the pan seared sea bass which I loved. Portion is pretty tiny which also seemed like they were a shared plate. Almost tapas styled. Nice chimichurri sauce and a side salad. The chicken Milanese also with a side salad of arugula. Simple dish but quite tasty. One of the salads that was somewhat hyped up by the waitress but it was just a salad. Decent but nothing major to rave about...lol... also the confit oyster mushrooms was major hit. Something that simple but quite tasty. And lastly the pan con tomate, rustic sourdough with tomatoes and burrata. Tasty as well. Overall the meal was good. From there, the second round of drinks did take a long time to arrive and with then plates that we shared, trying to get someone to clear the plates was another thing. Took a long for someone to clear the table before more items came. Even when the entrees came, all the empty starter plates were still there. And if someone did clear the plates, some was still left on the table. Finishing off the night, we did have the dessert which we tried all three. As it was two of our girlfriends birthday, they brought out a little bubbly for us to celebrate with the dessert. That was quite sweet and nice. Honestly opinion with the dessert, they were just ok. Nothing major to rave about. We tried all three on the menu and they were just ok. Overall, the food was great. Service was nice and the staffs were all very friendly. It did take a while for plates to get cleared from the table and second round did take a while, but it was manageable. It was a sweet gesture with the bubbly with the dessert which was greatly appreciated. The place is nice and great for catching up. Menu is limited and portions are quite small. You would have to get a good amount for sharing. Entrees, depending on what you order is small as well. But we enjoyed ourself.

Very obliging and accommodating. Food: 5 stars, surprisingly good, right amount for us. I was full but I can see where other reviewers say portions are small. It's small if u're a heavy eater. But the quality is definitely there. Ambiance: trendy, high energy, casual vibes where u can lounge and have a beer while munching on fries...or u can choose to be poshy and have a glass of wine with a salad and Chilean sea bass. It's flexible to accommodate both as there are different sections. Parking: street metered 1 hour parking. 3 stars, not their fault but 1 hour is simply not enough. It can get super busy and the server can be pulled left and right, so cut them some slack during super busy hours. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended .

Because this is a hotel bar since it's situated in The Langham 5-star luxury hotel, the drinks are expensive like $25 starting. One of my friends got a lemon-based mocktail (pretty good) and I got Cosmopolitan-type cocktail with Prosecco (pretty solid and not overly sweet, just not one of the best cocktails I tried). Another friend ordered Negroni, which is a potent cocktail with a bitter sharp, dry aftertaste. I could hardly taste any hint of sweetness in the drink. My friend thought it was too bitter, too. Honestly, for me it tastes just as bitter as a Manhattan, probably because both cocktails incorporate sweet vermouth. 3 stars for the poor customer service and wait time for standing in line to order drinks. There were 2 or 3 bartenders and they were rushing but also seemed like they weren't efficiently helping customers with drinks in a timely manner. The lounge area was meh (super limited seat spots) and the vibes were bland despite coming here on New Year's Eve. Definitely an older demographic that frequents this bar, not that it's a bad thing, just not our vibe since it would've been more fun if there other people closer to our age, so we decided to bar hop elsewhere after.

The meat is tasteless, processed, and worthless. AND it's small! It's covered and salt to cover the complete absence of flavor. No fresh toppings available (I asked) except garlic mayo to cover the flaws. That burger is a prominent, featured choice in a very small selection of entrees from which to choose, and it should be wayyy better than that. Instead it is a complete failure. I understand the restaurant business is hard, with rising costs, etc., but that is no excuse. WILL NOT RETURN Everything else was very nice.
