However, most of them fell short of expectations. The portion of each plate was quite small, so we were able to try plenty. Seasonal Soup of the Day: It was some creamy cauliflower soup. Was kind of bland. Cheese & Charcuterie: Terrible. The cheese slices were too big and the bread was just not good. Hummus & Falafel dip: Falafel was very dry and difficult to eat. Mushroom Truffle Arancini: Not very flavorful. I could not taste any truffle. Steak cut onion rings: Nice and crispy. Hard to go wrong with these. Chorizo Mussels: These were ok. Tasted very tomatoey. Tuna Tataki: Did not taste like fresh tuna. The rice chips did not work. Chicken parmigiana: Probably the best tapa of the night. The smoked mozzarella was good. Lamb Meatballs: Tasted funky. I'm not sure how else to describe it. Espresso pork ribs: Meat was cold and not tender whatsoever. Smashed Slider: Pretty good. Yummy sauce. Probably the second best tapa. Red wine braised beef brisket: Terrible. The brisket was hard and the mashed potatoes were bland. Wild mushroom ravioli: Worst ravioli that I've ever had. Tasted like a ball of rotten cheese. Arrabiata shrimp: This just tasted like a plate of marinara sauce. Gnocchi alla Vodka: Pasta was not cooked enough. Not sure what the "pink sauce" is, but it tasted like a basic tomato sauce. As for customer service, it was fine. Our server acted very enthusiastic. There was one mishap where they brought us something we did not order. This restaurant is definitely more of a casual experience rather than a fine dining experience. This review would've been a 4, if it weren't for the service. Our group went around lunch, and there were hardly any other parties. It took about 15 minutes for our server to come by the first time to introduce the special 5 for $25 and take our drink orders. It took another 15 minutes for the server to come back to take our food order, only for him to tell us we had the wrong menu... he quickly went to bring us the correct menu and we finally ordered our 10 dishes. After our order, he rarely came back to check on us. The tapas came and it was pretty solid. Gnocchi alla Vodka 10/10 - The sauce was absolute perfection, cheesy with just the right amount of tang. Wild Mushroom Ravioli 9/10 - Again, the sauce was perfect... and I don't even like mushroom. Lamb Meatballs 9/10 - Juicy and well-seasoned meatballs with two slices of bread. French Fries 10/10 - These fries were really good. Crispy and well-seasoned. Arrabiata Shrimp 7/10 - Feels like I'm repeating myself, but the sauce was excellent. Spicy marinara sauce with perfectly cooked spaghetti. The shrimp was overcooked though, and the tail was still on! Red Wine Brisket 5/10 - Brisket was okay, kind of lean and dry. The mashed potatoes were okay, as well... kind of bland. Cauliflower Steak 2/10 - It was legitimately steamed cauliflower with cauliflower puree and chili flakes. This dish made absolutely no sense to me, and it was extremely bland and boring. Chicken Tikka Masala 1/10 - Terribly seasoned and terribly spiced curry... the rice was overcooked in some areas, and undercooked in others. I didn't try the rest of the dishes. Overall, a majority of the dishes I tried were pretty good for the price point. I'll definitely be coming back to try the other dishes, and maybe try their unlimited cocktails. The food here was very yummy, and the decor was perfect for my date night with my bf. We did the unlimited tasting experience and ended up getting 13 plates. My favorite dish was the Mushroom Truffle Arancini. Also the drinks are stronggg. My only complaint is that it felt like our waiter kept trying to stop us from ordering more dishes. This Restaraunt is down the street from my house. I believe it opened about 2 months ago. We made reservations for myself and friend. They have valet or you can park in the parking structure . The ambiance is Schlick but not over the top. We had the $50 all you can it which made sense. It's tapas style so there for we at a lot. Started off with the espresso pork ribs, red wine braised beef brisket, lamb meat balls,cheese charcuterie, fettucine chicken Alfredo,the tuna tataki is a must we all had to order that twice but everyone got their own plate. We also tried the chorizo mussels which I feel could have been slightly more meaty the flavor was good though. Lastly I irdeeed the cauliflower steak it was ok but I'm a meat eater so if you are not a carnivore go for it. They had endless drinks. My girlfriend and I decided to check out the new Le Grand in Pasadena. She experienced the DTLA version and said it was amazing, so my expectations were high. The restaurant is billed as an "Unlimited" experience for food and drinks. There is, however, limitations that customers should be aware of. First of all, you have a 2-hour maximum for your experience. Secondly, if one person gets the $49.99 "Unlimited" dining experience, the entire party must order it. No sharing. Third, the portions are scaled down. The drinks are petite and the food portions are diminutive. The concept is smart from a food service / cost savings perspective, however, this visit was well below expectations. We made reservations for right when they opened at 5pm on Friday night to take advantage of their Happy Hour. Any five items on the menu for only $25. Also, there are single drink specials as well ($5 for beer and $7 for craft cocktails). What could go wrong? Plenty. First of all, our server was incredibly rude. The restaurant just opened, and she was not attentive at all, zero warmth, and poor customer service. We decided to start with some drinks and get a sense of the menu, with the expectation that we would order a few drinks and eat off the Happy Hour menu. After ordering a beer for myself and a Paradise cocktail for my date, we informed our server that we wanted to wait a few minutes and then order, in which she responded, "Happy Hour ends in 45 minutes." This is true, of course, as Le Grand's Happy Hour is literally...an hour from 5-6pm. However, we felt rushed a bit put off by her sour attitude. After looking over the menu, we decided to start with five items and enjoy our drinks. We ordered the following (a la carte pricing in parenthesis): - Mushroom Truffle Arancini ($10) - Adjarian Khachapuri ($14) - Wild Mushroom Ravioli ($14) - Chicken Tikka Masala ($10) - Red Wine Braised Beef Brisket ($14) After ordering, our server actually said, "So, just the one Happy Hour special for the two of you?" In which I responded, "Yes, for now." She turned in a bit of a huff and left to put in the order. The second downfall of this restaurant is that there is zero quality control on when food comes out. You cannot request to start with an "appetizer" with your drinks and then have the other items roll out. No, when you order, it's a crap shoot from the kitchen what you receive in which order. So, enjoy your ravioli first and your salad last. It's a bit of a miss for me. The first round of food portions were OK. The Arancini came with just two to the order and they were fairly good. Crispy outside, deliciously warm inside. Cheesy, Truffley. The Khachapuri was one of the best dishes. Perfectly baked bread, wonderful egg and cheese filling. Definitely a perfect sharing dish for two (or more). The ravioli was below average. Served three to an order, there wasn't much flavor and they were undercooked and warm, at best. The Beef Brisket was quite good. Wonderfully warm, juicy and delicious. The Tikka Masala has no flavor (needed more salt at the very least), the rice was goopy and it too, was also not warm. We ordered more drinks as well as an additional five items just before Happy Hour concluded. This time around: - Elote Street Corn ($9) - Watermelon Feta Salad ($10) - Smashed Slider ($12) - Espresso Pork Ribs ($14) - Gnocchi alla Vodka ($12) The second round of portions was below average. The Watermelon Feta salad was the best of the group. Nice contracts between the fruit and the cheese, which was tasty. The Slider was a joke. A small, I mean small, Hawaiian roll which wasn't smashed or good. Also, undercooked (they never asked how we wanted it prepared). The Gnocchi was cold, a little undercooked and not very good. The sauce was average at best with a little heat. The Pork Ribs were OK. However, the side coleslaw was not edible. The street corn was tasty, smothered in garlic aioli, lime and cotija cheese. After eating, we had to wait forever for our server to pay attention to us. Nearly 15 minutes went by before she even came over to check on us. I will, however, give a big shout out to the General Manager, Kim, as well as all of the food runners (who did all the work). They were all super friendly, very attentive asking how everything was, clearing plates quickly, and delivered all the food and drinks with smiles and great attitudes. The damage for two people with tip was about $125. Three drinks each, and ten tapas dishes. Hour Hour is definitely the value here. We had plenty to enjoy and basically ate for half the price during Happy Hour. My girlfriend said that her experience at the DTLA location was by far superior, with much tastier food, drinks and wonderfully attentive and friendly service. I like that there is parking in the back in the parking structure and free 2hrs with validation, which in Pasadena is sometimes hard to find. The owner was very accommodating to us with our needs for our event, it went very smooth from beginning to end. Drawn in by the gimmick of unlimited food/drinks (not a dig, I love gimmicks), a few girlfriends and I dined here on a Saturday night. It was dead when we arrived around 5 but busy when we left around 8. We actually opted to order everything a la carte and saved money. Shared all the food plus 2 desserts and we each got one drink for $180. Not bad for 3 people! It would have been $150 for food alone had we ordered unlimited plates. Everything was good, only a few items were great. Our favorites were the tuna tataki, aranchini, and brownie. Drinks were reasonably strong and tasty. I can't imagine drinking more than two. Evidently someone had too many that night as there was vomit around one of the bathroom stalls. Service was just ok. There seemed to be a problem with their payment system because it took an unusually long time to get our bill. Our service wasn't particularly friendly either; one of my dining companions thought he was mad at us. As others have pointed out, parking in the building is 2 hours free with validation. The music choice is perfect for this millennial's ears. Glenn was our amazing server. His courteous assistance throughout our dining experience was much appreciated. Also, his suggestion of the Tuna Tataki was the highlight of all the plates we selected. As for the plates, decadent does not begin to describe the array of flavor each plate gives. This place is very busy and understaffed. We waited 30 minutes past reservation just to be seated and another 20-25 minutes to be given water and put in an order. I came for dinner and was hoping for some good food. I decided to go with the unlimited food option for $50 and the unlimited mocktails for $10. I highly suggest coming during happy hour or paying for a plate of your choice. The food is subpar and not worth $50 per person. The ambiance is a bit hectic as it gets loud. Also be aware their central air is horrible, it was so hot in there and not enough servers to refill your water that you will feel sweaty. The servers are doing their best to serve but this place beyond understaffed. I highly advise you to order all the dishes you want to try when the server takes your drink order, if you are doing the unlimited option. The appetizers were all delicious. The only thing I would say was not the best was the main course. I recently dined at Pasadena Le Grand and was excited to try this beautiful restaurant with its clean ambiance and warm, inviting lighting. Unfortunately, our experience was mixed. We made a reservation a week in advance but faced challenges with our request for indoor seating due to the chilly weather. The OpenTable app doesn't specify indoor or outdoor options, which is a missed opportunity for better guest communication. The hostess was kind but mentioned that indoor seats were reserved and that the restaurant had been busy the previous week. However, during our 2-hour visit, the indoor area remained far from full, leaving us puzzled as to why our request wasn't accommodated. To make matters worse, we discovered the outdoor heaters were not functioning, making for an uncomfortable dining experience. On a positive note, the food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced, with a fantastic happy hour menu that allowed us to sample a variety of dishes. I met a friend for lunch this past weekend. The restaurant is large and inviting, but the service is very slow. We started off with a bottle of sparkling wine and the Unlimited Mocktail Experience, to make our own mimosas. The drinks were very good. We then ordered the onion rings for an appetizer, and eggs Benedict, and Creekstone Double Cheeseburger for our main dish. The Adjarian Khachapuri (georgian cheese bread) fire. 9/10. cheese, egg yolk, bread, butter, it was yummy. Needed Salt and Pep. The sauvignon blanc is DISGUSTING, so sweet, tastes like a reisling. Holy smokes is fine, the presentation is fun but it's not balanced, bartenders need to work on that consistency. The vibe is fun, seems like a good celebration spot for birthdays (for adults). to conclude, it's not good food, but it's fine I guess, I would come back for the bread and drink bottled beer if they have it. I've been to this location twice and while I will say it is less crowded than the DTLA location and the food is just as good, there is just something about the staff here. I'm not sure if the morale of the restaurant is low or they are only disinterested in the patrons but something just felt off both times. I do see that the service is the same across the board to all patrons so it didn't seem to be a discriminatory issue. Review #2 of 2025 Came across this local gem thanks to another establishment canceling our NYE reservations 2 days before that we had for a month prior. Went onto OpenTable searching for a place and here we are. We came into town for the Rose Bowl as we are from Northern California. We might not able to be regulars but if we are in the area it will become a MUST HAVE. Overall - 4.25 out of 5 Food - 5 out of 5 Service - 2 out of 5 Ambience - 5 out of 5 Value - 5 out of 5 Noise - Moderate I have been to tapas places in other cities where you spend a fortune and leave hungry, however not this place. They have an amazing deal 5 dishes for $25 and the portions are more than enough. Photos are attached so you can see for yourself. The only downfall again (back to back nights in Pasadena) was the service. Our waitress wrote down a few plates wrong. We received the wrong items because of her error and had to have them corrected. But that wasn't the only issue. Lack of refills on drinks. We purchased two drinks packages which are worth it if you are going to have at least two drinks. However the time she was away and the time it took to make them time expired on the package as they are good for only so long. That wasn't the only issues. One which is a major problem and a BUGE no no. We thought that she brought us our bill but it turned out to be someone else bill that had their credit card with it. Not only did she bring it to our table, but it was another 15 minutes before we could track her down and say that it wasn't ours. To me, giving another table someone else's credit card and not realizing it for that long is unacceptable. Typically I am all about service. I was able to make a reservation on Open Table. I always like that option. I arrived this morning on time at 11:00AM, but my cousin was running late. The hostess would not seat me until everyone arrived even though the restaurant was completely empty. It was inconvenient having to wait outside with a 4-year-old. There isn't a waiting area with seating. When my cousins arrived 30 minutes later, we were finally seated and server came immediately with water. She gave us a spiel about options for ordering. It's a large and beautiful restaurant with variety of items on the menu. Wait for food was minimal. The food itself was underwhelming and uninteresting. Flavors were mediocre, but served freshly made. My cousin made server aware of allergies but burger was still served with sauce that contain egg. Overall I found it overpriced, service not very accommodating, and experience was indifferent. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. read more

This place compared to the Dtla one is much more mellow, not a bad thing. It's a really nice place. Service we received was good no complaints. They do provide certain packages $27 dollars all you can drink cocktails, but not everything, I normally prefer Gin and tonic which that's not part of the all you can drink, but if you enjoy drinks withing the menu it's for you, but if you have preferences, it wouldn't apply. They have the same for food $49 a person but the whole table has to agree with getting the same deal or else no deal . But all in all is enjoyed what i got along with my friends. read more

It was mine & my partners first time trying this place and location. I've always passed by the dtwn location but haven't had the chance to go inside. We got there around dinner time (4ish pm) and were asked if we had a reservation, but we did not. Keep in mind you don't need one, as they take walk in's depending on how busy they are. The setting is casual and I loved that they kept the room dark and dimmed enough to still see around. We both went for the order 5 tapas for $25 and order some drinks to go with it. Over all the food and drinks were great as well as the service, my favorite was the penne bianca. They also offer unlimited brunch on the weekends which we will most definitely come back to check out! And provide also 2 hour free parking with your parking ticket validated. read more

Really liked this restaurant and concept. There were only 3 of us so we didn't do the everyone pick 5 because it was too much. We tried all of the mocktails and they were all really good, but my favorite was the Sparkling Cucumber because it wasn't too sweet. We tried the citrus salad, brisket, adjarian khachapuri, and the espresso pork ribs. All of it was really good, but the pork ribs were our favorite. For dessert the cheesecake was also very good. Great service. Only thing we didn't like was the random photographer. I think that if we were doing an event it would have been great, but for a random dinner we didn't need our photographs. read more

The ambiance at the Pasadena location was inviting for our ladies afternoon brunch. Not too dark or blinding bright. Our server was amazing (I'm so sorry I did not remember her name. Tall blonde with a beautiful accent). As first timers she guided us on how the brunch would begin. Let me first start by saying that if you reserve for 7+ people it's $5pp that's refundable although not towards the food/drinks and EVERYONE has to be there as there is a 2 hour time limit that starts when you're seated. The food was delicious!! There were 2 items that I would never eat (lamb and the Khachapuri) but that's fine there were others that I did. It was all amazing. The portions are good enough for you enjoy with overindulging. And of course the mimosas were MY FAVORITE because who doesn't like unlimited mimosas? For $25 extra I didn't mind. The ladies chose the $27 unlimited cocktails. According to them they were delicious. I started off with the Arribiata shrimp dish that was really good the shrimp were a nice size considering the size of the plates. Not a complaint because I ate. The watermelon feta salad was soooo good that it got ordered at least 3 times. The only issue was the dessert not being included in your brunch price but it was offered separately. Personally I did not care. One ordered the Saona chocolate cake...yes we all sampled before we actually ate. Backwards I know but she really didn't need to eat it by herself; that's what friends are for. Plus my mimosa was my dessert. A couple of friends did not make so we are going to make another date for the group of us to visit the DTLA location. Now if you plan to visit the Pasadena be aware that the parking is kind of weird. If you choose to utilize the valet parking that's fine as it's right in front but to self park it's behind the building and they will validate your parking for 2 hours, which is another reason to make sure the entire party is there. Sucha pretty space! Since this place just opened, our waiter was in training so I felt the awkwardness during our interactions. Regardless, he was still a great waiter. For the food, it is tapas style and they have the $45 unlimited brunch style. It's sucha inconvenience because the entire party would need to pay the unlimited $45 if only one person wanted it. Had dinner with my husband and friend yesterday. I was surprised by how much I had eaten compared to the last time I went (DTLA branch). We did the 45.99 for brunch and we were able to order some plates from the dinner menu for the same price (the only difference is the breakfast plates that are no longer available for dinner). I particularly enjoyed the espresso pork ribs with coleslaw, tuna, and charcuterie. We had a great dining experience last night. We finished everything I'd say. The staff is accommodating, the ambiance is intimate, the interior is beautiful, parking is easy (2 hrs free with validation) and service is swift. I recommend this place. read more

Great place went for the happy hour 5 for 25 meal for my bfs birthday! Got some delicious food it's tapas style so smaller servings everything was delicious got wings, chicken masala, pasta and more! It was so good I got full with 3 plates. So worth it! We got the mocktaiks and I tried their alcoholic drink a margarita it was ok but was a hit to storing for my taste . We had dinner here on a Saturday night and the service was horrible. Our drinks took almost 40 minutes to arrive and after the waiter sold us on their "bottomless" drink option he never came back to check on us or offer any refills. Each time he passed our table he raced by with his head down and then disappeared for half an hour before we had to get up to look for him and request to place an order for another round of tapas. The food is ok, but not particularly good. Ladies restroom looked like a bomb exploded and was not stocked with toilet paper (again I had to hunt someone down to ask). The decor of the restaurant is very nice but the food and service are sorely lacking. I was very disappointed and will not be back. read more
