The reservation process was easy and the staff accommodated our large group without any issues. Even with one bartender working, drinks kept moving and the kitchen got food out faster than many of us expected. The atmosphere was perfect for a themed gathering. Not every dish was a home run--the short rib burgers were soggy, and the Brussels sprouts could have used glaze--overall the experience was a success. Der Wolf was such a fun time. I was there for a meeting/ girls night on a Tuesday night and the whole place had a really great energy. There were games on TV, but also people actively playing interactive games like Flip Cup and other group games, which made the whole atmosphere feel really social and engaging. Honestly, it felt like the kind of place that encourages real connection and community, something that's needed now more than ever. The space is large enough where you can comfortably have conversations while still feeling the lively atmosphere around you. The back patio is also a huge plus, especially in Pasadena where the weather is beautiful most of the year. Came here for Mother's Day brunch. Was real excited to know they serve 19$ bottomless mimosas here. We arrived at 10:30 and had reservations for 11am. We got seated almost immediately which I liked considering it was earlier than our reservation time. On the menu they had 3 different flavor mimosas which were orange, mango & pineapple. I've came here multiple times I've never have had a bad experience. The security in the front is polite as long as you don't act a fool they do do pat downs on men and do search women. The crowd is usually an older crowd so there's less drama there's a downstairs level for private parties. They had no other area to accommodations suit our party size, and we were instead seated in a corner. Unfortunately, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the miscommunication, and the situation was presented as if it were our error. The service declined further from that point. Several members of our group got bottomless mimosas, yet refills were consistently missed. We had to repeatedly approach the bar ourselves, and even then, the drinks were not fully poured. I want to start off by saying this is the BEST SERVICE we have gotten at any bar/restaurant, HANDS DOWN! We were there on a Sunday to attend a Chargers watch party in the basement. When the restaurant opened the basement immediately filled up. Melissa M was our server for the entire basement. She was so attentive and gave everyone amazing service. I noticed that not one person down there had a dry cup, she was on top of refills and food orders for everyone. We ordered wings, a giant pretzel and a cheese burger. The wings were well done (per melissa's suggestion) and they were perfectly crisp. The pretzel was delicious and soft on the inside. The beer cheese that came with the pretzel was AMAZING! I wish there was more cheese because the pretzel was really big, there was not enough cheese for the size of that thing. The cheese burger also really really good. We had beers, margarita flight and mexican candy shots. The bartender was also very busy but took time to greet everyone. Drinks were delicious and came fairly quickly. What a great experience!! Group of us came here for my friends birthday. And it was a lot of fun. Just so happens they happen to have a happy birthday sign where we were sitting so we got some great pictures. The drinks were good. My only complaint was that the restaurant bar was not open it. Someone was late so we were waiting outside for someone to come. The food was great.
