Feb 3, 2026-My Winter Restaurant Week Lunch. 3 courses. ($45-AMAZING!!). One of the most delightful and DELICIOUS and BEAUTIFUL meals I have ever enjoyed. ANYWHERE! Works of art on a plate. IF HEAVEN HAS A RESTAURANT, IT WOULD BE EXACTLY LIKE LE JARDINIER. TOTALLY WONDERFUL, IN EVERY WAY. A very respectful standing ovation for Michelin starred Chef Alain Verzeroli who is Culinary Director for The Bastion Collection, of which Le Jardinier is a part of. AND, a respectful standing ovation as well, for every person at Le Jardinier who helped make my restaurant week lunch so very wonderful !! Thank you to the talented, caring, hardworking staff in the kitchen who truly prepared WORKS OF ART!! FROM THE VISUAL PRESENTATION TO THE TASTEBUDS. I'll give you the details but, if you're fortunate enough to read this and it's still WINTER RESTAURANT WEEK, GRAB YOUR PHONE AND MAKE A RESERVATION!!! Now!!! And, if you missed restaurant week, you should still dine here as soon as you can, because it is sublime! Thank you to the welcoming hostess (phone & in person) Thank you to the servers and front of house staff for impeccable service!! IF HEAVEN HAS A RESTAURANT-THIS WOULD BE IT. The service is excellent, not obtrusive, but absolutely there for you when you need anything. THE FOOD-OMG!!!! Every morsel of food was wonderful. I loved all of it. Here's what I ate: Complimentary Amuse Bouche-LOVED THIS!! It was carrot based--I Love CARROTS!! A sabayon texture of wonderful flavors; carrot, thought possibly a hint of pumpkin or cinnamon....I just know I loved it and I enjoyed the bottom prize of yummy, tiny, diced carrots. Mmmm, what a DELIGHTFUL START TO MY MEAL. Thank you! Appetizer-colorful Beet Salad, w/burata...thin round slices of beets, with little surprises of citrus and more. Bread Basket and butter-Yum!! (Photos) Entree-Oooooh!!! So soft, so flavorful, Beef Cheeks, w/polenta purée and root vegetables. OMG!!! So good!! Use that bread to enjoy all of the delicious sauce...when you've finished the beef cheeks and see some sauce and polenta left, you will want every last bit. I noticed at the next table, when their plates were being taken away that they had done the same thing. LOL. I was so focused on my delicious food, I did not glance over at the next table during my meal. Dessert- OMG!!! Caramel Sabayon with white and dark chocolate and a delightful yummy surprise inside (ice cream!) . Loved this, LOVED ALL OF MY LUNCH. See photos.

Highly recommend for a Michelin quality lunch (or dinner, but I had lunch). We got the 3 course pre-fixe lunch option (winter lunch menu), but I will say, the portions are filling so we could've gotten away with just 2 for lunch (but no regrets). Service was excellent and the space was lovely. We each started with the Beef Tartare & the Yellowtail -- wow. The tartare was very elegant and had a cohesive creaminess to it that really brought it together. The Tuna was in a citrus/orange broth that was really flavorful and complimented the tuna rolls exceptionally well. Would get both of these again, no question. We then moved on to the Ricotta Agnolotti & the Scallops. The Agnolotti had notes of squash in the broth and foam, so good this time of year. The Scallops were probably the best scallops I've ever had ... you have to get this. Also with notes of squash in the sauce, the scallops were cooked to perfection and accompanied with a whipped potato element that was so tasty. Then we moved on to the entree course with the Steelhead Trout & the Lobster Bisque. Again, personally we probably could've stopped at this point, but I'm glad we didn't for the Bisque ... this thing is filled with Lobster and had one of the best bisque's that I've ever had -- exceptional, but very filling so be warned. The trout tasted good, but if there was one dish I would change it would be this. While it had plenty of flavor, it got a bit stale halfway through. All in all, fantastic meal.

We love this place so much that we visit every time we come to NYC. There are tons of amazing restaurants in New York and many with Michelin stars, but none as wonderful on every level as Le Jardinier! A few things set this Michelin starred restaurant apart: 1. The service is the best! We met David last night and he was delightful. He gave us some recommendations for other places to try, which was nice. Our favorite staff member came by a few times to chat. She's the sweetest! Everyone makes you feel welcomed. 2. The chef is more than happy to accommodate for dietary restrictions even when choosing the 6 course tasting menu, which you should choose! They make their own amazing gluten-free bread. It's better than anywhere else! The adjustments to the menu do not take anything away from the amazing experience. 3. The food is just so good! Everything is cooked to perfection and the accompaniments layer the flavors so well. Try a complete bite of every dish. While this is a beautiful, high-end establishment, it's not stuffy at all. We love it here and will keep coming!

We had an excellent time. For a party of 6, each with different dietary restrictions and various asks--two vegetarian and a vegan), one person only drinking not dining, three people who wanted to order the RW menu while two wanted to order only a la carts--they were able to accommodate everything we asked for. Service was nearly seamless. I was most impressed by their sommelier's recommendations, from sparkling to red, he had us covered. Upon walking in, you get the sense that this is a midtown business lunch/dinner spot, and it probably is to a degree, but it's still a great place for group that's a little more casual in intention. In terms of ambiance, the only thing I wish is that they had some very light music going, classical, maybe some light jazz, or melodic EDM, I think that would really ratchet it up to a perfect environment. The food was good. The portion sizes are definitely small. The saffron risotto was good, but just a touch bland; I think it could have benefited from a dash of lemon or salt, but I feel that way from a lot of risotto, so that's likely just my preference. I found the triangoli subtle and flavorful. Regardless, everything feels and tastes fresh and the Gardener's influence is certainly felt. IMO, the best way to enjoy the menu is to order a few things and share. Located in, but really around the corner from the Selene

Visited again for RW lunch. The food still didn't disappoint, it was just $45 per person which can't be beat! Most of the dishes I had were the same as last time with the same quality, especially the risotto which continues to be my favorite one of the bunch. One quick note: the last time I came here was for a regular Wednesday dinner and we were one of only 5 tables by the time we left. This time it was packed for lunch, and while the staff were definitely busy and running around, they continued to offer great service so kudos to them!

Le Jardinier is a beautiful vibey spot. I came here for restaurant week and we were seated upstairs. The menu featured an appetizer, main, and dessert for $65 a person. Personally I was the most excited to try the appetizers but wasn't too blown away by them. The burrata was fresh but a little light in seasoning for me and the pork belly felt a bit thick. However, the salmon was phenomenal. I love a restaurant that doesn't overcook their fish and the combination with the texture provided by the roe was excellent. My sister, who's generally a bit of a pickier eater, even loved it too. The desserts were also yum. The cremeux featured four different layers including caramel and ice cream which was a nice surprise. Overall the food was pretty good but definitely on the pricier side. I did expect to be more blown away.

    Natalie H.

The fresh bread basket was the highlight of the meal. The duck was made exceptionally well, and the other courses were delicious as well. Each were plated beautifully. There are some seasonal dishes that we see change on the menu every time we come. Reservations aren't hard to get -- truly a hidden gem!

Sorry to say the food is very good but the prices have gotten very high and not reasonable when a bass fish is $72. Yes everything is nicely prepared but not when entrees are so expensive. The service is good but not as good as it had been in the past when prices were 40% lower.

Finally a place with proper service, cleanliness, nice environment, and good food! Other @michelinguide restaurants in NYC should learn from them! Would gladly revisit in the future.

We had a reservation for a weekday lunch for restaurant week. The interior is beautiful with plenty of natural lighting and plants. The service was attentive, although there was a bit of a wait between the appetizer and main course. I ordered the pork belly, salmon, and the summer peach tart, and my friend ordered the gazpacho, duck confit tagliatelle, and the chocolate cremeux. The plating was beautiful, but the pork belly and salmon were a tad overcooked. The portions were good, and for the price I would go back.

    Jackie H.

I would give this 3.5 stars. They forgot our bread (we had to ask for it) and the duck confit did not wow me. The crispy pork belly dish was a good idea in theory but really tough and dry to chew. They kept trying to clean our plates when we clearly were not done. The ambiance and decor is nice and the desserts were lovely.

    Lai M.

The food was delicious as was the presentation. The 4 stars is for the food only. We didn't enjoy the cold bread they gave us. We also got a later lunch reservation at 1:45pm and we definitely felt rushed. My friend was running late and I was told kitchen orders need to go in before 2:00pm which was fine except they wanted to take our orders well before 2:00pm. They serve the appetizer at 2:03pm before my friend even got there so the food was sitting on the table while I waited. This would have been a 5 star meal if service was better.

The French onion soup she got as her first course was delightful! So rich, beautifully done!!! That was the high point. The branzino when they brought it out they spilled a decent bit of the sauce on my wife's foot (she was in sandals). No real apology and no one offered to give her anything to clean up. The branzino was ok. Nothing to write home about. My wife got the chicken - WAAAAAY over-fried. Dry as a bone. Mashed potatoes and hericots verts on her dish were delish! Profiteroles for dessert were good as well. It was an ok meal but not worth the price. Probably would not return.

The drinks were great! I had the cocobella while he had margaritas. The table bread was hot and fresh, so make sure they bring it to the table for you. We had the mussels for an appetizer, lamb chops and bass. EVERYTHING was excellent! The flavor of the broth for the mussels was Devine, so much so my husband used his bread to sop up all he could. The bass had great flavor and came with sautéed spinach that was well cooked. It initially looked like a small portion but turned out to be plenty. The lamb chops were cooked to the requested temp and seasoned well. We left no crumbs. This one is definitely worth a try!

This space felt larger than the other locations I've been to, while still keeping the same cozy, charming, and beautiful vibe that defines their brand. We were a party of three, and each of us ordered different sandwiches and pastries. I got the Katie's Chicken Sandwich, which is one of my absolute favorites and something I order almost every time I'm visiting the city. For pastry, I tried the Cherry Croissant Cube for the first time, and I was honestly speechless. It was incredibly flavorful, delicious, and truly made my day. I 100% recommend trying it. For drinks, I ordered the seasonal Cherry Elderflower Spritz. It was just okay compared to everything else, but not bad. Overall, Maman continues to be my go-to brunch place in NYC, and this visit reminded me exactly why.

Unnecessary confrontation over a 5-minute early pickup…read more I'm a regular Too Good To Go customer and have picked up bags from Maman before without issue. This visit was a frustrating exception. The app activated the swipe button shortly after 5PM -- which Maman and several other stores have recently started allowing as an early pickup signal. I went to the store accordingly. The young male Hispanic employee at the register refused to hand over my bag, insisting the pickup window didn't start until 5:15. All the bags were already packed and ready. There were no other customers in line. I tried to explain how the app works and that early pickup had been allowed here before, but he repeatedly cut me off. At one point I said "if you want to play by the book, so be it" -- meaning it as a neutral acknowledgment. He took offense, raised his voice, and kept repeating "I don't play, you play" in an increasingly hostile tone. I asked if he understood the expression. He just kept repeating "I don't play." When I asked to speak with a manager, he said there wasn't one. When I asked what a customer is supposed to do when there's a problem with an employee, he told me to come back tomorrow and talk to him. This was completely avoidable. The bags were ready. It was a 5-10 minute window, allowed by the app. The confrontation served no purpose. I noticed the review posted the day before mine mentions "poor customer service at the register" -- I suspect we encountered the same person. Maman has a good reputation worth protecting. I'd encourage management to review this interaction and make sure this particular staff is trained properly.

The frites were the best I've had - super thin and crunchy and the mussels were fantastic in a delicious white wine sauce and again a LARGE portion. We were left happy and full - the Bordeaux Blanc we ordered was perfect to go with it all.

While the French Onion soup was still a stand-out dish, the painfully slow service detracted. There appeared to be a single waitress working. I didn't notice during my first visit if there were multiple servers, but the first time I did hear the waiter advise another table that the kitchen was behind and there would be a wait for food. (This didn't affect me since on my first visit I only ordered soup.) Same thing happened this time, and there was a significant delay between our soup/salad course and entrees. We were told the kitchen was backed up. this is apparently the norm. For appetizers, the French onion soup was a gold star dish. My friend had the goat cheese salad which she said was also very good. The Chicken Cordon Bleu was good, and a hard-to-find dish in NYC. While eating our entrees, the server never checked on how things were or if we needed anything. Once finished, we sat there for a long time waiting for our plates to be cleared, and finally had to "announce" that we were done and request our dessert (as we had ordered the prix fixe menu). For dessert we ordered the Dame Blanche and Profiteroles. I would recommend neither. The ice cream (in both) was poor quality, crystallized and not creamy. A real shame. In all, the meal too 2.5 hours due to the slow service. The soup remains fantastic. I'm downgrading my review to recommend this spot only for soup and salad and not a full, hours-long meal. For that, it's 5 stars, for a full meal a middling 3.
