Delicious healthy fresh food expertly seasoned in generous portions for a low price! You cant get a cheap lunch deal ($6.50 I think it was?) for a sandwich and a small salad or soup and soda. I got the schwarma wrap, very good, my mother got the vegetarian felafel wrap. The dinners are under $20 and come with multiple sides/options. My mother and I split a dinner plus a side shrimp kabob and ended up not having room for desert, which was a shame because I'm sure that would've been great too. They've got vegetarian food for people who don't like meat and then lamb and chicken and shrimp and feta for people who like that sorta thing. The salads were fresh and yummy. This was my first time at Le Kebab, loved the garlic spread that came with the bread. I got the chicken shawarma and it was cold, dry and tasteless. The food was very reasonably priced, I gave 2 stars because of the service and my cold, lifeless sandwich. Our waitress would run to our table, talk a mile a minute and run off again without even actually getting a response from us. 9/10 I didn't understand what she was saying or wanted from us. I've only been here once, and did a large carryout order, so take this with a grain of salt. We got the big sampler platter thing and it was hit or miss from one dish to the next. Hummus was solid. Baba ghanoush was overly bitter. Lamb grape leaves were good. Falafel was good. Tabouli was good. The lamb chili was disappointing. Chicken shawarma was juicy and good, lamb not so much. So it's just the one experience to go off of, and very mixed from dish to dish, so hard to know what the full measure of the place is. read more

We found this restaurant by accident, though we were en route to another Mediterranean restaurant. Our server, Samantha, was great. She knows the menu very well and directed us to very good choices. She suggested splitting an entree which was ideal. We still had some to take-home and shared those with others. Their comment was *We have to go there*. Horrible service. I've eaten at this establishment a few times and really like the food. Unfortunately the past few times I've eaten here the service has been bad. My most recent visit took the cake and I wont be visiting this restaurant again. Despite greeting people working in front it took forever to be seated. The server walked away without asking if anything is needed, no drinks were offered. My party sat for at least 15 before the server came back around, we asked for water. she disappeared for another 10. Finally we ordered food and the server was off again. Two other parties were seated and served (by the same person) before my table got food. The server stopped at other tables on either side of us to ask how the food was but we were never addressed the same way. Finally we ask for boxes which were not much better than tossed at our table as the server went by. The server gave us the bill and sat opposite at another both watching our table and chatting with another server. I waited thinking she was on a break, as she was speaking with a coworker. This went on for almost another 15 mins, the bill was not picked up until I finally smiled and waved at her. I've had great food here with so so and very blah service experiences before. This last time was enough to kill the whole thing. I don't expect servers to be super chipper or very friendly. I know the work is hard and the pay can be bad having done the job myself, but my last time here was just terrible. First time visiting this place and it was excellent! I ordered takeout and service was fast and friendly... even complimented my kicks which always goes far in my book. I had the chicken hommous plate and they also gave me a sample of the Baklava. Make sure you are hungry because they give you so much food and it was all delicious. I came here for lunch during the week. I think it's pretty standard for Mediterranean cuisine. They have 3 menus to choose from: a standard menu available at all times, a 2 for $25 menu, as well as a lunch menu. I ordered the lunch portioned chicken shawarma dish, with the cup of lentil soup. Very filling for a ten dollar lunch. I'd like to go back for dinner and further explore the menu. read more

We're vegan and this is a great place to go with others who have to have meat. Plus they will work with you. The restaurant is clean and the service is outstanding. The music was loud and they turned it down. The chef came out to see how we liked our meal. They lightly steamed veggies for someone in our party because they could not have any oil. Though the free fresh bread pockets and garlic sauce are good, here's how my order experience went. We at in and I ordered the veggie combo for 1, which comes with some side dish choices but mainly includes a falafel, a vegetarian grape leave wrap (finger sized), and a small spinach pie pastry. Having been here before and knowing that they microwave the spinach pie, I asked the waitress Jasmine to have the chef put the pie in the bread oven (the nuke makes the pie soggy in middle, and chalky/spongy in the bread areas). Well first try, she brought me a pie that had been in the oven, for all of maybe 1 minute because the center was still frozen solid which I pointed out to her and had her feel as well. It was the same with the grape leave wrap (even though I had asked her when ordering if they were still served steamed, as they did when the place opened, and she emphatically said yes). After a long time she brought me back a new spinach pie and grape leave wrap - piping hot - from the microwave! Thus the pie was soggy in the middle and spongy, and the grape leave was pretty much mush. I told her take it back and don't bother bringing another as the rest of the party was done eating. They ended up taking my course off the bill, but it really goes to show that not only does the 'chef', or whoever was preparing food not care about the requests of their customers, but really the waitress (though she did I guess, 'try') was responsible for making sure she brought the correct thing which apparently she didn't (such as ask the chef if it was prepared correctly). After I sent the food back Jasmine disappeared and another waitress brought the bill. Complete lack of continuity and follow through. We won't be going back, unless it's for a take out order of that great bread and garlic sauce! read more

The last two times I picked up some hummus, the bread was the stalest old hard stuff. We got the hummus before and the bread (lavash) is supposed to be warm and soft. I hate that they send you off with bread that obviously isn't fresh to eat with the hummus (which also was runny the last time). I got a Shish Kabob lunch entree with salad to take out. You would expect the food to weigh more than the salad, but nooo, their salad was twice the weight of the food. Also, large pieces of lettuce that made up 95% of the salad. 6 small pieces of Shish kabob and maybe max two cups of rice. Two stars just for the taste of the lamb kabob. The reason lunch entrees are cheaper is to attract more customers, not to make the portions smaller to match the price. read more

A few years ago we were looking for a place to eat on Alpine Ave and stopped in at the old Le Kabob on a Saturday after noon. The service and food were great. We have been looking to visit again since then. Since we live out of town we have not gotten any changes until last night. We picked up our daughter from the airport and decided to try the new location on 28th st. We visited around 6 pm on a Friday. Not very busy. We were quickly seated and our waiter came with the bread and garlic spread and for our drink orders. The drinks arrived quickly but we were not ready to order since there were many choices on the menu. Eventually we ordered and our soup and salads same quickly after. We were also offered additional bread. By the time we finished those our meals came to the table. Great timing. I ordered the beef shish kafka kabob and it was very good. The other two meals were great also. When we checked out the host (owner?) asked how things were and our waiter wished us a good night. The decor is not as nice as the old Alpine location but it did not turn me off. I did notice one of the cushions ripped in one of the booths. Our booth was fine. Overall great food and very good and friendly attention from the staff. You could tell they were trying hard to make sure we had a great visit.
