Great corner bar for drinks anytime you feel like it! The windows, the ambulance, the antique furniture, very cool vibes in their space. The bartenders are fantastic and even treated us to some birthday shots on the house! Bright, light, sexy!

We loved the drinks at Le Lounge! The service was fantastic with very friendly bartenders! We will for sure be back again for a date night

This place had been on my list to try for quite a while and it was worth the wait. We went earlier in the evening for a pre dinner cocktail so we were one of few people there but this is such a fun space and am sure it only gets better as the night goes on. The cocktail I tried was sour and delicious and like something I hadn't tried before. Everyone was friendly and encouraged us to return and can't wait to try something different next time!

Attached to the No Vacancy Hotel this quaint cocktail lounge sits on the corner of 18th St. There was no huge sugnage so you had to know it was there and what it was. Parking on the street. There were a few spots that were free parking for up to 3 hours. On entering there was a DJ type of area that was playing music and a huge dance floor. I could see this as an area that could be used for a wedding reception, celebration or after party. Plenty of seating with small tables or comfy cushioned seating in one area. 2 unisex bathrooms available. Bar area was very clean and maintained. Cute memorabilia was placed in various places in the venue. Such as the bowl of money from all different places in the world. Bar tenders were very nice and quick with serving drinks.

i've been meaning to check out le lounge for a while and stopped by on a whim. It was a Saturday around 5:30 and didn't really get busy until we left around 7. I got a strawberry Negroni, and I think it was the best Negroni I've ever had. My friends both got espresso martinis, and our server said that that is their most popular drink-- and for good reason, the coconut foam on top is a great little touch.

No notes for Le Lounge - it would be difficult to find a spot more deliberate and curated. It has all the elements you'd look for - the cocktails are great and seem to rotate somewhat frequently, the bartenders are friendly and attentive, and the ambiance is unmatched. The attention to detail even spills into the bathroom where I can imagine the smallest piece of hardware was intentionally selected. Le love le lounge!

Great spot for a date night. We did not have a reso, but since it was a week night, it was easy to snag a table. It might be quiet if you get there earlier in the evening (6 pm), which is beneficial if you're trying to have a convo. The service is great, and the bartenders can guide you to a drink to match your vibe. Wednesdays are Latin night, so be prepared to come with your dancing shoes, or spectate the folks on the dance floor.

This trendy lobby of the No Vacancy hotel was such a fun spot for a drink and some people watching on a Saturday night. There was street traffic and a speed dating event (that relocated to the hotel for privacy). The aesthetic is elevated without being stuffy, which drew in a nice variety of clientele. The bartenders are knowledgeable and kind. Our drinks were delicious. Check their calendar and social media as they also host salsa nights on particular weeknights. I'll definitely be going back!

I've driven past the Fern Bar countless times, but had never stopped in. Truthfully, I knew next to…read morenothing about it. That changed yesterday, when Diana Condori, the bar manager, was named a 2026 James Beard Outstanding Professional in Cocktail Service semifinalist. As we love supporting restaurants and bars that receive that kind of recognition, my wife and I headed to Fern Bar that evening. I was especially curious what exactly a "sugarcane and agave bar" meant. We arrived around 5:30pm and found only a handful of guests inside. After congratulating the bartender who first served us, he mentioned that Diana was working that night and would stop by to meet us. During our conversation, Diana shared that she didn't even know she had been nominated. She woke up Tuesday to a call from owner Bryan Arri, who said he had big news and was coming over. Her first thought was that something terrible had happened--like the bar had burned down. Instead, he showed up with coffee and told her she was a James Beard honoree. Diana is originally from Bolivia and has lived in Kansas City most of her life, with the exception of time spent in San Francisco during the pandemic. She further refined her cocktail craft through local pop-ups in Kansas City under the name Condor's Cove. When Bryan was preparing to open Fern Bar, he reached out to bring her onto the team. The printed cocktail menu immediately reminded me of the Monarch and the Mercury Room--not surprising given Bryan's background at Manifesto and the Monarch. Thoughtful, intentional, and clearly designed for people who appreciate serious cocktails. We planned on having one or two drinks but ended up staying for three, thanks to an outstanding lineup and a memorable conversation with Diana. We tasted: * No Fly Zone - Rum, agave, pineapple foam * Mr. Collage - Smooth, elegant, egg-white cocktail * Three Negroni Lunch - Bitter, boozy, and beautifully balanced * Pendergast No. 4 - Complex and spirit-driven * It's Bananas - Banana liqueur with bright tropical notes * Off the Rails - Creative and well-executed rum/agave cocktail One downside of many cocktail-forward bars is the lack of food, but Fern Bar offers two varieties of mini burritos for $4--just enough protein to keep things balanced while indulging. Great concept, exceptional service, and truly memorable drinks. Check it out--and be sure to say hello to Diana.

The space is smallish but they do have bar seating in addition to seating throughout. The service was friendly and the drinks were great. They don't offer food, but they do offer cocktails, beer, wine, and mocktails. I went on a Sunday and they have a special menu called "Almost Monday." It's a smaller, simpler cocktail menu and the prices are very fair compared to other cocktail spots. I tried the Caipirinha (pineapple) and the Negroni sour. Both were good. My favorite between the two was the Negroni. It had a pretty color and wasn't too sour or strong. I'd def recommend it and get it again. Definitely stop in and check out this cute spot in Shawnee.

When you arrive there is parallel parking available outside the bar. When you walk in you'll feel like your bright, vibrant, and feels incredibly welcoming. Also, they have some really fun drinks as well that have been thoughtfully put together. We ended up sitting at the bar and I started with the Reformed Porn Star (vanilla vodka, bronson's tropical milk punch, passion fruit, Prosecco, citric acid and popping boba) which was by far my favorite drink and felt like I could have drank a couple more of these. Second I tried the Neo Cosmo (white rum, strawberry, cacao, coconut, rose hip, lime, bubble) which was good and was a fun drink with an ice cream shaped cup and a bubble on the top (meant to look like an ice cream cone). If you are in the area, this bar is a must try, the bartenders were awesome and took good care of us. Between the creative cocktails, fun atmosphere, unique floral setting, this was a memorable experience I'd definitely return for.

They have a nice selection of cocktail and wine specials along with shareable bites, pizzas, oysters, sliders, and other small plates, which makes it a great place to stop in for drinks and something light without necessarily committing to a full dinner. The interior is beautiful and has a polished, upscale feel without being stuffy. Once you're upstairs, there's a cool crowd, great energy, and some really beautiful views of the city. The outdoor patio is another highlight and a great place to sit when the weather cooperates. The staff was wonderful. Friendly, attentive, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The weirdest part is actually getting there. The entrance is through the lobby of an office building, and then you take the elevator up to the 16th floor. It feels a little odd the first time because you're wondering if you're even in the right place, but once the elevator doors open upstairs, it makes sense. Great drinks, beautiful space, good crowd, attentive service, and one of the nicer rooftop experiences in Kansas City. I'd definitely go back.

I know this place has a bit of a "hit or miss" reputation, but it wasn't busy at all when we went, and the staff called back promptly to confirm our reservation, which I appreciated.
