It appeared that these may have been freshly made, so giving them an hour or two for the filling to firm up probably would have fixed that very minor issue. Although I didn't think the vanille, chocolat and citron macarons were as close to those same flavors of macarons I sampled in France, they were all good and after sampling them, I wished I had placed an order for all of the flavors they had. By the time I remembered, I had already finished most of the chicken and drank over half of my matcha milk tea! On my first visit, I tried the taro milk tea and loved it. This time, I ordered a matcha milk tea with bubbles at 30% sugar, along with a pineapple mojito (non-alcoholic) with crystal pearls. The matcha was smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet. The 30% sugar level was perfect for letting the matcha flavor shine. The pineapple mojito was refreshing, light, and sparkling. It was also my first experience trying crystal pearls. My initial reaction was that I didn't like them because they're smaller and firmer than traditional boba pearls. They almost reminded me of boba that wasn't cooked quite long enough. But the more I drank, the more I appreciated them. In a cold, sparkling drink, they actually work really well. The pearls add a little surprise after each sip and give you something to chew, making the drink last longer and feel more interactive. Now for the star of the show: the Korean fried chicken.
