This was our second time here and it was just as incredible as the first! This time I took my mom for her birthday. We had my 6 month old with us and he was having a really bad night so we were only able to order oysters and we were going to leave but our server John (who we've had for the second time now) was so incredible and offered if we wanted to sit in the private dining room with the baby and eat our meal there. We were able to calm my baby down in there because it was quieter and actually enjoy ourselves. We were worried because it's a nice place and having a screaming 6 month old and we didn't want to ruin anyone else's experience but the staff was so reassuring and accommodating when they didn't have to be. John is always the best server and so knowledgeable and kind. We will definitely be coming back again! read more

Lemoyne's chophouse is the epitome of why restaurants come to Mobile to die...... with the exception of Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. The service was abysmal to say the least. It took every bit of 30 minutes to get our initial cocktail. It's really unfortunate as the flavor of the food was pretty good, however, the dining experience was second rate at best. This was my second time to visit this establishment, and it will be my last. If you want a good meal with good service to accompany it, I recommend going to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse or NoJa Within Mobile. Otherwise, I recommend making the journey over to Baldwin County. read more

We love style and ambience of this new place! The drinks are very good and the food is delicious. The crab cake is very unique and one of the best I've had. Caviar service was very good but the pancakes were a little too big. I went with the Japanese A5 waygu that is cooked tableside and it was divine. We also tried the herb crusted grouper and it tasted really nice as well. The sides are very nice portions and definitely shareable. We went with the 14k chocolate bar and the berry cobbler for dessert and my only complaint was their espresso machine was broken. read more

The food was amazing we ordered the French Martini and the Smokey Old Fashioned. As food, we got the Steak Frites and the Burger "XIV". These were presented wonderfully. Rose, our waitress, made the experience even that much better. My wife had the filet with brussels sprouts. I had the ribeye with the crème spinach. Both dishes were flawless. Ruth's Chris better watch out, Le Moyne's steakhouse just might be the best steakhouse in Mobile, AL now! The decor and ambiance is top tier, beautiful and picturesque. We were warmly greeted by a kind hostess and was served by Joy, one of the kindest and attentive waitresses I've experienced. Our experience started with a smoked old fashioned and French martini which were both amazing. The old fashioned wasnt just a drink, it was an experience! The bread was warm, flaky, and buttery. Next, was the wedge salad and crab cake. Both portions were large and very tasty. The crab cake has a nice fresh, citrus taste. It was gulf seafood at its finest. I enjoyed it very much. The wedge salad was fresh and flavorful. The Tomahawk ribeye was carved tableside and sprinkled with smoked salt which gave a nice flavor. Although I request medium, the steak was medium well. I must admit, I was disappointed in that. I'm sure the steak can be cooked at the right temperature next time. The flavor of the steak however was really good. The chimichurri was absolutely delicious and accompanied the steak well.The pomm purée was just ok, nothing special. I thoroughly enjoyed the Mac and Cheese with conecuh sauce. Le Moyne's Chophouse = 3.67/5 . The ambience is phenomenal. The music is relaxing and still entertaining. The staff is very polite, attentive and personable. The bread course is difficult to eat. Grilled Caesar was very fresh. I just dislike the rib left on my romaine. Ribeye w/Crab Oscar - Steak was seasoned but not flavorful. I was expecting a flavor explosion and received a sparkle. My steak texture (tender/chewy) and temperature were inconsistent. The crab was delicious and delicate. The asparagus on the steak was delicious with the Béarnaise sauce. THE SIDES: The asparagus was perfectly cooked. However, I was not fond of the cheese sprinkled on top. I wanted to love the Pomme Puree. It was flavorful but very lumpy. The Vanilla Creme Brûlée was velvety, creamy and perfectly made. This is a beautiful restaurant with a great staff and amazing potential. My husband and I made a last minute reservation for our wedding anniversary here. They were one of the only restaurants open on a Sunday night AND also open past 8. We can be slow when we're celebrating so we wanted to have time to enjoy our wine and food so the hours suited us. The ambiance and decor was absolutely beautiful! It made me feel like I was fine dining in an early-mid 1900s restaurant. I saw a review complaining about the 80s remix music so I'm making it a point to say that the music was great. It was in the style of 40s-50s and some had jazz vibes. I thought it was a fun touch. We were offered a complimentary glass of champagne for our anniversary and they also gave us a cute card signed by the staff. I thought that those personal touches were very sweet. As for the food: Bread: best butter ever, fresh and warm bread. Grilled Caesar: the most delicious dressing I've had (and I make my own), strong umami from the anchovy, not the biggest fan of the croutons, but overall would eat again. Beef Carpaccio: blew us away, melted in the mouth, perfect amount of pickled veg, nice crusty bread. Duck Confit (not pictured): the meat was delicious and tender and fatty, husband loved the veg, I could drink the sauce 10/10. Herb Crusted Grouper: potatoes are cut to look like scallops so don't be confused, sauce was a little too salty but was remedied with some lemon wedges squeezed over top, grouper was 10/10. Seasonal Cobbler: the biscuit's saltiness mixed with the tart berry compote and the creamy vanilla ice cream was a dream! Wine: very smooth. Overall, we were very full and happy and would love to come back in the future! P.S. The atmosphere was great, service was lacking at first but improved, menu looked great, but no execution. Someone really needs to tell the cooks that burnt is not a flavor. I assume they were trying to char the steaks but charcoal is what actually comes to mind. Ordered medium steaks, came out beef jerky on the edges and medium well in the middle. Disruption...the only disruption was the ones that should have been at a bar & not a fine dining restaurant...all the other tables thanked us...so..we have $300+ food setting on our table at home...the food was good from the couple bites we had for our entrees...the loudness had been going on from the time we sat down..we had ordered an appetizer, salad, all the while the hollering & screaming being done....WE will NEVER step foot back in LeMoynes again...we will go to The Royal Scam...I mean, why would you go to a fine dining restaurant & spend $300+ and feel like you're setting in a bar! Great place! We went for our Anniversary and were not disappointed. From the welcoming and very relaxed atmosphere to the personal touch of an Anniversary card signed by the staff it was all wonderful. The filet mignon was excellent and the finishing touch of Crème Brûlée was perfect. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great evening. Not just for us but for all their guests. I had two bad experiences with this place. The first I ordered creme brulee, and it was like pudding with fruit, creme brulee. This past weekend I went back and I ordered lamb chops and creamed spinach!! Absolutely DISGUSTING! I asked for my chops to be cooked at Medium Well, they brought me medium rare. Then, my spinach was out on a pile of mashed potatoes. The sauces was gross, the lamb had no taste. Everything was very bland! Definitely was a waste of money read more

Ruth's Chris was closed for renovations this week and we we had reservations for dauphins but the last couple of times they have not lived up to our past experience. Le Moynes is mobiles best restaurant hands on the table!! If they keep up there standards I'm telling you this place is going to put the others out of business. We had the broiled oysters, steaks, scallops, mac and cheese, truffle fries and broccolini. The oysters, steak, and scallops were a 11/10. Apparently the chef is from the hope farm which has a really really good rep across the bay. Jessica was our server and she was fantastic. loved the book that the receipt came in so unique and we actually read some of it. Perfect date night. Pricey but worth it!! I thought about not even posting this review bc I want it to be my hidden place but then I thought how unfair that would be I want other ppl to go and enjoy themselves and I want them to stay in business!! lol read more

Environment and ambiance are very good. Except for music. Remix of 80's music. Needs jazz or blues. Things to consider: fake flowers on table. Salad came out before appetizer. Had to ask for bread. Crab cake was divine as was the old fashion and French martini. Steak (ribeye) was inedible. Too tough to chew and 3/4 left on plate This was voiced to management with no apology or reduction in bill. Didn't expect much but something would have been nice to acknowledge what was brought to their attention. No manager came over to apologize. We had to demand a bill adjustment which we have never done before in our lives. This was a $250 dinner. Come on you can do better and your customers deserve it. Sorry. We won't be back. read more

My husband and I went for his birthday dinner. The ambiance was great and decor beautiful. I've been really looking forward to trying this place because of what I've seen online and honestly we truly need an upscale steakhouse in downtown Mobile. Starting from the beginning, service and cocktails were great. We ordered the oysters and when they arrived, they quite literally the size of quarters or smaller. They were tasty but VERY small (I'm someone who eats oysters pretty frequently) and not really worth ordering. My husband ordered a filet with oscar topping which he said was great. I ordered the scallops with crawfish risotto. The scallops were cooked perfectly but the risotto was not very creamy. It was more the consistency of rice pilaf and was more chunky than it was creamy. The crawfish in the risotto, tasted to be added as an afterthought. There was really no marriage between the two items. I told my husband it felt like I was just eating rice pilaf with a few crawfish tails sprinkled in. I expected this side to have a little more flavor. I felt that these particulars could use some attention, especially with a price point of $200-$250 for a dinner for two. I do have some friends that went and had the same feedback about the oysters and they also ordered the crab cakes and said they were delicious. I'm really hoping that this restaurant uses this feedback to improve a few different areas because I would truly love for this place to be somewhere I love to go for a nice girls night, date night, etc. We really need nice places like this in Mobile! read more

Le Moyne's ambiance is very nice and upscale. The staff is professional and attentive. The cocktails are made well, but the top-shelf spirit selection is lacking. No top shelf vodka available. The wine list is also sparse in the white wine varieties. Only one basic German Riesling. I ordered a bottle of "La Chappelle" Syrah ($275), excellent. The appetizer selection is good. We had the Salad Royale and the Lobster Bisque. The Salad Royale was good, the Lobster Bisque was way too fishy. We both had the Wagyu filet. This was without a doubt the worst wagyu filet I've ever had. I don't know if they don't know how to properly cook Wagyu filet or if the meat itself was not good. My wife's had entirely too much salt on it; and she likes salty food. Both were so bad we couldn't eat them, so our little dogs got $200 worth of Wagyu filet. My wife had an add-on lobster tail, it was very good. That became my wife's entree. We had asparagus, brussels sprouts, and the Conecuh Mac & Cheese as our sides. The asparagus was good, the mac & cheese was excellent and became my entree, the brussels sprouts were way too salty as well. Dessert was very good, especially the Meyer Lemon Mousse Tart. Bottom line...IF we go back, we will NOT get the Wagyu. Final bill including 20% tip was $900. Would of been worth it if they backed off on the salt and the Wagyu was as good as we've had at other high end steakhouses. I would suggest people to try Le Moyne's, but stay away from the Wagyu and tell them low salt. read more
