I had an extremely disappointing and upsetting experience at Le Recrutement in Paris, which I feel compelled to share due to the racist undertones and completely unprofessional behavior of the staff.
From the moment we arrived, the waitress greeted us with a visibly unhappy and unwelcoming attitude. As she served us, she accidentally spilled hot water directly onto my friend's lap, causing a burn. What shocked us most was that she didn't apologize or show even the slightest concern for what had happened.
When I went inside to get a bottle of water to help cool the burn, the manager confronted me and questioned why I was taking the water outside. Only after I explained that his staff had burned my friend, did he go silent. No apology, no concern, nothing.
Eventually, they gave us a small amount of white cream to treat the burn. When we asked for more, the same waitress simply refused. To make things worse, another waiter made a joke about the burn, saying it was a "souvenir from Paris." This kind of comment was not only unprofessional but deeply insensitive and offensive.
We left the restaurant distressed, disappointed, and frankly disgusted. Not once did anyone apologize or show basic human decency. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone. The service was not just negligent, but hostile and discriminatory. read more
