It was literally the worst steak I have ever eaten. Steak is my favorite meat and I consider myself a steak connoisseur. The steak had no seasoning. Not any at all. The fries were mediocre as well. My Boyfriend had the same and he felt the same way. I forced myself to eat as much as I could because I was hungry and was spending $40 on the steak. I would not visit again.

To be honest, our first impression wasn't too great. We were seated in their main indoor dining area which was a bit too warm. We asked if we can be moved to their fully covered / heated patio area, but unfortunately the restaurant was full. Fast forward 15 minutes, we have placed our order and were enjoying our bottle of wine and a basket of bread. Our server came over and offered to move us to the patio area since a table had opened up. We were pleasantly surprised because (1) we didn't ask again and (2) most restaurants wouldn't change tables once customers started eating/drinking. The restaurant setting is unpretentious with a casual and cozy vibes. The staff are so friendly that we feel like having a family dinner! They offer a pre-fixe menu in which we thoroughly enjoyed! For appetizers, the escargot dish gave us a pleasant surprise. They wrapped the escargots and blue cheese sauce in a thin crispy crust! It's hard to describe, but it's sort of like having an escargot "crepe"! The few main courses we chose were excellent, and the rack of lamb was probably our favorite - tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked. A downside was that we were asked to select two things per service pairing (almost like an Italian restaurant), but the food did not come out in that ordering. I asked about this but was told it was the chef's choice. If we had known, we would have ordered a bit differently. Not so good things: The service wasn't poor, but it wasn't at the $200 dinner level IMO. We ordered bread for the dinner and it was forgotten about until I had to ask for it. I was asked when I made the reservation if it was a special occasion (it was - my wife's birthday), but they never mentioned this in our meal. I have never been to such an expensive restaurant when I was asked about the occasion and have it not mentioned. Finally, this is a zero waste, high sustainability restaurant. That's their thing. And our waiter never once mentioned any of that in the ordering discussion. I really would like to know more about this, and I think it would have been nice to have heard more from the waitstaff.
