This review is way long overdue and should have written this review many years ago. Thanh-Hang was a family friend so my whole family felt obligated to go to her dental office but that was such a bad decision. My brother and I went to her since we were little. Because of only going to her place, my whole family hated going to the dentist. My dad and my brother hated it so much that they avoided going to the dentist for several years. I do not know what they experienced here that made them that deterred from going to the dentist but from my own personal experience I can imagine it's similar if not worse. What really upsets me though is because of so many bad experiences and avoiding the dentist, both my brother and my dads teeth were in pretty bad shape. They fear going to the dentist and wouldn't go. I had my wisdom teeth extracted here but it was not stitched up and I was not given any instructions on how to take care after the removal. I ended up having a hole that continued to bleed and ended up getting an infection in that area. Found out after I finally decided to switch to a new dentist because I couldn't stand going here anymore. I got my braces done here, and a total of 3 times, but my teeth are still crooked. They kept telling me they'll fix it but since they already used up my insurance for the braces, I ended up having to pay out of pocket at an orthodontist. That's what caused me to finally decide to leave and look for a new dentist. It also turns out I needed braces on my bottom row but they only ever put braces on my top row. My brother also got his braces done here and his teeth are still crooked as well. I was always given to students to practice on and they would leave me waiting with my mouth wide open for what felt like hours. Always had to wait for a very long time in the waiting room before being called in as well. I really regret ever feeling bad or obligated to go here and went here for the majority of my life. I even just found out a while back from my mom that Thanh-Hang complained about me saying I was difficult and had a bad attitude. Go somewhere else for your dental needs, don't waste your time and possibly ruin your teeth going here. read more

Very nice receptionist, kind staff, and great doctors. Always call for cleaning reminders. Clean environment and up to date equipment. ** "Well trained eyes can see colors differently "** This is a long overdue review. I had a cavity that was bothering me so I came into the dentist to get it checked out. After getting x-rays taken I was told that I had many cavities on both my upper and lower set of teeth. At the time I didn't have insurance so I could only pay in cash. To get fillings for my cavities it would cost about $600. I didn't have that much at the time so I only told them to work on the teeth where I felt pain. I ended up paying what I could afford and that was $300 at the time. At one point during the visit I asked the dentist to show me where my cavities were. She pointed out on the x-ray, "here, here, here, and here.." I looked closely and asked, "How do you determine there are cavities in those places you pointed out?" She said verbatim, "To my trained eyes I can tell where the cavities are. Untrained eyes cannot see what I see." I will NEVER forget that load of sh*t. So what she was telling me was that I could not see different shades of grey because I have "untrained" eyes? She puts soooo much credibility to her degree that it even gave her some kind of super vision. Us "normal" people couldn't see what her "trained eyes" could see? That's total bull shit!!! A few months later I received a job offer in Silicon Valley working for a top notch Tech company. That also came along was great medical benefits. So I went to a mainstream "American" dentist. He took a look at my teeth and said there were no remaining cavities to fix. Holy sh*t, either I've been blessed by a miracle or no such cavities ever existed. The likelihood of the latter being true is much more believable. WTF!!! I told him to make sure, and he was positive. I've had few check-ups since at different dentists and my teeth are perfectly fine! The crappy part is the tooth that she did fix always had food getting stuck in it. It was a constant reminder of what a bad mistake I made going here. Bottom line... There are many dentists out there looking for a fast buck. They'll put us through unnecessary procedures in order to make a few extra dollars. We put health-care professionals on a high pedestal because they cure us of our illnesses in our time of need. It is extremely unfortunate that some health-care professionals take advantage of us in our times of weakness. In my case I just chose to go to another dentist. Do your homework and find the right dentist for you. Just remember that dentists are just people too running a business. Ask them what your options are, because you ALWAYS have options. I've been going here since I was 5. I'm 21 now and I only come here to get my teeth clean every 6 months. I was so happy that I was finally done but returning to get my teeth check was terrible. I remember the long waiting hours just to get in and finish. I made an appointment for 11:30am but I didn't get in until 1pm. You really need to confront the ladies sitting at the front desk with anger and they'll definitely let you in. The lady who runs the place knows me very well too. Did I mention I also had braces for over 5 years? 5th grade to 10th grade. I thought my teeth looked fine and I chose to get them off. Now I get compliments about my teeth all the time but if I didn't force them to take it off, I would probably still be wearing them for another 2 years. Also, my sister is currently still wearing braces and it's been over 7 years. She doesn't even want to come back here. Eventually my family decided to take my two younger siblings to another place because it is cheaper and you get onto the chair right away. Like many other Yelpers who have reviewed this dentistry office, I have been a loyal customer since I was a baby. Through thick and thin, I have come to Dr. Thanh for all of my oral issues such as getting braces, checking up on wisdom teeth, etc. I remember when I was a kid, I absolutely hated going to the Dentist. Getting those new retainers, pulling out bad teeth, or even getting a mold- I detested all visits. But it was somewhat enjoyable when I got to have a conversation with Dr. Thanh. She is both sweet, kind, and very caring. I trusted her with all my oral complaints and all the solutions she suggested, even when I didn't know half the things she talked about. The best part was the free goodies she gave out to her patients! A lot of her staff members such as Cindy, the receptionist, were very sweet even though some couldn't speak English As I got older, it seems that Dr. Thanh has taken a backseat to let other aspiring dentists take over the work. Even though I don't visit her office as much anymore, I do come in for the occasional cleaning services. However, with new faces comes new agony. I just don't get a pleasant experience at the dentist anymore. Although the new faces are a welcome sight and they try to be nice, I feel as though they just can't replicate the kindness, patience, and warm heartedness that Dr. Thanh exuberated when she was at the helm. All in all, I will still go to Dr. Thanh's as long as she is in charge. She's a close family friend, and I could never leave for another dentist office. Unfortunately, it sucks that things do change, and the services are not quite as good as they were back in the early 2000s. Then again, it looks like the office has new technology, which is a plus since now a lot of the things I had to go through when I was younger such as waiting for an X ray are done much quicker. Quick note: the service can be ridiculously slow, and so if you have a 11:30am appointment, come at 10am to avoid waiting in long lines. This place is notorious for having insane wait times! Worst customer service ever. Refused to give X-rays and medical records when requested for new dentist so had to drive and demand in person after sending two emails and making five phone calls in total which went unanswered by their office. After all that fuss, I was only given unusable copies of xray which new dentist couldn't use so big waste of time and money. Never going back! read more

The couple times that I've dropped by here, I've been serviced by nice friendly faces. They greet my family and I by names which is really sweet. Sweet because they remember their clients. For the past couple of visits, Dr. Chen, (not so sure about spelling) has been the best! He treats his clients with the uttermost care and talks them through the process of the procedures during the sessions. I find that this helps me relax and forget about the fear of dental work, for really, dental work is scary. I appreciate the time and effort that he puts in to make his clients feel comfortable and at ease. Dr. Chen, you are the best! read more

First visit, they made me wait about 3 hours just to get my X-Ray & CLEANING done. 2nd visit, they made me wait 2 hours PAST my appointment, no fillings or anything done, just made me sit in the back seat. Finally I thought it was my turn but no, they left me sitting in another chair with a stupid numbing cream left in my mouth. But since they TOOK SO DAMN LONG, I had to leave once to do something and I was told to call after so they can start with my filling but instead the lady tells me the doctor is at lunch and won't be back for another hour or so, but since I was already upset, I never went back. I'll honestly felt DISCRIMINATED there. Never will I ever go back here again. I saw them taking so much care of Vietnamese patients and saw them working on their teeth diligently even though they arrive hours after me while I was sitting doing NOTHING. read more

Not sure why this place has such bad reviews. I'd like to write a good review about this dental practice to change that. Dr. Le is probably one of the nicest and most sincere dentist I've ever met. She is very personable with her patients so you'll feel completely at ease when you're in her office for any kind of dental procedure. I've been a patient since I was 18 and I'm glad I stayed a patient until now. There is another dentist that works at her office, I think her name is Dr. Ngo and I really liked her. She's young but seems very knowledgable and professional. She treated my root canal and cavities and was very professional and thorough. Explained every procedure that she was doing and didn't leave me questioning along the way. I'm definitely a loyal patient here. read more

Fucking horrible. I made an appointment a week before for a consultation. Came in today and had the worst experience yet. I filled out all the paper work required and waited about an hour for my name to be called. When i was finally called in, they took X-rays of my teeth which I do not understand why that was done. I've went too several other orthodontists doing my shopping for braces to see which place is the one for me and none of them had to take x-rays. I was confused but still went with it. After the x-rays were done, the lady told me to have a seat outside and had me wait another extra hour.. by this time, i was fed up. I told the lady at the front desk that I had came in for a consultation and to cancel it. I gave this place a chance because a buddy of mine got his braces done here and recommended me. The wait is always a little bit longer than your appointment time but once you get in, they take care of you pretty quickly. The prices for fillings are pretty straight forward. The staff was friendly and they were clear about everything I needed to know! read more

Avoid this place at all cost. This place will scam your insurance to the max. I went to clean my teeth and it took them four visits to partially completed the task. They told me I have several teeth with cavity and they opened up the one that doesn't even need it. They also told me that I have to remove all my wisdom teeth which are perfectly fine. This place is so greedy that they put a temporary filling on my teeth and told me to come back a month later when the new insurance enrollment kick in so they can charge more. I have a bad feeling about this so I went to several different dentists and they put in the permanent filling on the same day. No wisdom teeth need to be pulled out. worst dental practice ever. i have so much to complain about. ive been going here for almost 12 years and since i turned 18 and went into the feild of dental ive learned so much . when i went back for my 6 months i immediately pointed out so many wrong thing. 1. the dental assistants arent even in proper uniform. they wear jeans with a top and a lap coat. they dont all have there hair pulled back. 2. the dentist is very rough. i had a wisdom tooth extracted there the other week. after that i will mever return..i know the basics for all procedures being a dental assiatant who will be graduating in one month.. he gave me anesthetic AFTER THE TOPICAL WORE OFF, and because of the massice pain abd pressure he was putting on me i had to grind up in my chair, he then made a snotty rude comment saying "well why dont you just put your shoulder where i need to get to wouldnt that be a good idea?" RUDE.. he didnt even suture me up properly. i know have a whole where my impaxted molar use to be. my gum tissue are swollen due and i am in so much pain because cme to find out , a tappered fissure bur broke off and he left it in there. i know how to go to an oral surgeon to fet that instrument removed. after my procedure i was never given post op instructions.
