Honestly, he is our only dentist. And we really have to have to see him more regularly. The only excuses we have is that work! The 9-5. So no more excuses for us. You walk in and the receptionists and nurses are kind and they do the xrays for you. Then Dr Chu comes in and checks your teeth and does the cleaning himself. I'm also Canto/Chinese and he is absolutely a gem. A gem that is really hard to find in this industry. He makes me feel so confident in my teeth and less worried. No bullshit just honest chinese. Older Chinese doctor shared office with one or two other dentists. Was confused at first since the STE 1 matched on the entrance but it said Phil Trin but it's the right place. My optometrist is next door! Scheduled an 11am appointment 2 days after I called or so, came in 1050am per request to fill out paperwork, very smooth. Xrays and then Dr Chu worked on my teeth - said my teeth were in great condition which lines up with what I know genetically it seems some people have bad teeth no matter how hard they try and others can be like me where we don't get punished as heavily. So everything went as expected and not much delay other than 5m of waiting or so, they were quite busy the morning I was there. I came because other reviews said he was very honest and I thought since I might need a deep cleaning . I do my annual reviews and just so you know- he's outstanding. He cleans patient's teeth himself! No crappy hygienists poking and hurting you because he has feather light hands and never hurts me. I am so into cleaning my teeth that I went from hardly every to 4 times a year because he makes it so pain free. I'm worried because I don't know where I would go if he ever retires. I had one wisdom tooth on the bottom right next to my root canal tooth. It was growing sideway hitting the neighboring tooth underneath. Dr.Chu decided to cut it in half to easier pull out. Beside the pain from anesthetic ejection, there was no pain at all even the anesthesia had gone after hours. I came and leave within 45 minutes. Super quick and painless. The staff and Dr. Chu are very thoughtful and friendly. I called them and had the appointment tomorrow. Also Dr. Chu gave the gauge, ice bag, and hygienic instructions. Definitely recommended. I came here the first time in 20222 to get 2 wisdom teeth extracted. Fast forward to 2024, and now I have the other 2 wisdom teeth extracted by Doctor Chu. Doctor Chu is an older caring doctor. You know he's not in it for the money since it is very affordable dental work. I also had a cleaning done before the extraction. Everything went well after the extraction. Was experiencing a terrible toothache for 3 days because of my impacted (growing sideways) lower left wisdom tooth, so I needed a place that can take me asap. I called in the morning and I was told that I can come in within the hour. I filled out some forms and they took my X-rays. I think I was in and out within 20 minutes. The staff and doctor are super nice and made sure I was okay. They numbed me so I didn't really feel much besides the pressure. The actual procedure took about 10-15 minutes? Got a nice little bag with aftercare instructions and an ice pack. They were quick yet made sure I understood what was going on. My wisdom tooth was broken causing so much pain that I couldn't sleep the whole night. I've been coming to this dentist to take care of my grill for about 4 years now. Dr. Chu Chris is awesome! Doctor Chu is definitely a go-to dentist when it comes to extract wisdom teeth. The whole procedure only took 10 mins after numbing. He made sure that I felt comfortable during the process, said sorry while injecting anesthesia. Before that, I was so scared about extraction but with him, I didn't feel any discomfort at all. One of the best and genuine dentist I've been to out of all the dental places I gone. Dr. Chu know what he's doing and gets things done quick. Never had any issues with this dentist, other dentist had me coming back for pain,discomfort, and re-cementing. Didn't need to ask for meds or anything after I finished he had already prescribed and explained thoroughly of what I needed to take. I went here for my wisdom teeth removal after reading all the great reviews. I had no insurance, but Dr. Chu was very kind with the pricing, charging me half of what other offices were charging. I was extremely, extremely nervous before going in because of previous horrifying dentist appointments, but Dr. Chu did a great job with calming my nerves. He reassured me everything would go smoothly and explained the whole procedure beforehand. The other lady who assisted was super sweet too! During the procedure, I felt no pain whatsoever, just a lot of pressure (which is expected). He was able to remove all four of my teeth in about 25 minutes, which I really appreciated since I did not want to be there longer than needed! It is worth noting that they only offer local anesthesia. I was worried about the pain and really wanted to get some nitrous oxide or something, but I stressed for no reason. It really was painless. Dr. Chu Chris is an excellent oral surgeon for wisdom teeth removal. I had two wisdom teeth removed by him and I did not feel any pain at all! He inserted anesthetics into my gums and cheeks and whenever he inserted it, he apologizes saying "sorry" every time. He is so nice and at the end of the procedure, he was describing what he did to the teeth in the procedure. It took about 35 mins to complete which I am completely satisfied. NO INSURANCE!!This is the best dentist I've ever had!!! Dr. Chu is very kind and welcoming and most importantly honest! Front desk and assistants very kind as well. I have been here twice. The 1st time to get all 4 wisdom teeth pulled. Which I did in 2 visits, 2 teeth per visit, right side first then left side. And today I went for a filling but it looked like it was going to be a root canal which was 400 dollars more. So I told him I was transferring funds real quick on my phone into my checking account so I was prepared to pay. That said he easily could have told me I needed a root canal and made an extra buck but he didn't!! This also happened the last time I saw him! Incredible and this place does accept insurance but I did not have any the first time and this time my insurance just got canceled, of course right when you need it. X Ray's are 10 BUCKS!! My filling only cost 90 bucks without insurance! And that's a white filling!! Silver little cheaper even. A lot of dentist out their con you sadly. But I feel super blessed to have found this place!
