The main reason I am giving 5 stars is because of the integrity with which the work is done. I don't feel that anyone has tried to up-sell me, or have me do unnecessary repairs to my vehicle. The turn around time is very reasonable. I noticed too that even when Bobby, the owner, isn't in the shop, his employees still check-in on me while I am waiting for me work to be done. The last time I was there, I had to wait half an hour or so for a part to come in. While that employee was taking care of that, another one came and asked me if I was doing okay and being helped. That's really good service, and it's nice that he thought to do that even while his boss was not there to see that. I don't know if they still offer this, but when I first starting using Leading Edge Auto last year, they offered a warranty through TechNet (which I did use once.) We were traveling from out of town and our car broke down in the area. It was late on Friday evening and they were still at work and answered the phone. They recommended an excellent towing service and took our car in the same evening, after hours. It's a foreign car, so it took a couple of days getting parts, but they expedited the repairs and we were back on the road in two days. The owner, Zach, was very friendly, respectful, thorough, and was great about communicating the ongoing status of the repairs. They saved the day! I was traveling back to DC from Busch Gardens. The check " charging system" light came on in my Honda Odyssey 5 minutes after we left the hotel. At this point I'm really upset because I had the battery and Alternator changed less than a year ago with another shop. I found this shop through Yelp. I spoke to Katy over the phone and explained my situation. Amazingly, they had the van fixed in a few hours. The shop was clean, welcoming and had air conditioning! The dreaded check engine light popped up on my vehicle so I started calling places to try to get it looked the first place said a week out the next place the following Tuesday I call leading edge and the lady who answered the phone was so nice and helpful... they got me in the very next day! And unfortunately due to a factory issue with my transmission it was going to be an expensive fix. But leading edge was honest and upfront and did not try to upsell or make me pay for unnecessary work. They provided their opinion and I agreed. this has hands-down been the best experience I've had with a shop the service that they provide is top-tier truly a cut above the rest when I first came into the shop (after going to multiple others) Zach gave me an accurate assessment of my car, and ensured I was kept in the loop the entire time while they were working on my car, I was giving daily updates and he even let me know of a few other problems he had noticed not only did he keep an open line of communication I felt as though for the work they did do and with the amount of time it took to fix my car(short period of time) they could've charged more needless to say, this is a five star company, which should be given all the business. Took my car in on Oct 17 about a loose splash guard underneath the engine. They informed me it was securely bolted in. They also discovered I had a large nail on the rear passenger tire. Even though it didn't cause the tire to deflate they told me it could be patched. Unfortunately, they don't offer that service there so I had to take it elsewhere. They were very honest and told me I didn't need a new tire so don't let the other tire place tell me that and it's perfectly ok to be patched. I went to this place cause a friend of mine has been going for several years and raved about them. I contacted a tire place about the nail in the tire and they tried to tell me I needed a new tire. I assured them that I was told it could be patched but they still firmly told me no. I will be taking my car back to Leading Edge Automotive for future car needs. read more

Great customer service and great repair work. The problem in my truck would randomly show up and they initially couldn't find anything wrong. They continued to look into the problem and finally found it and got to work on fixing it, after quoting me a fair price. While doing the repair work they ended up having to replace more parts than initially qouted but did it at no cost to me. After driving off I could tell an immediate difference in how my truck sounded and handled. I had been searching for a honest and reliable repair service because I'm in the military and a lot of companies tend to take advantage of military personnel. I wouldn't waste my time. They are over rated. They charge ridiculous prices for simple work. I paid over $600 and my car still left the shop sounding like a lawn mower. I apologize.... "no legal action or threats have been made against me".....with that being said I made an emotional review. I was raised that if you say something that's public then the apology needs to be public. After talking it over with the shop manager he assured me that they would get to the bottom of the issue with my vehicle. There was some back and forth but I think overall he wanted to help. Being military and new to any area it's easy to get "hustled" and I've been there too many times to count. I will delete this review altogether once the work has been resolved. --------------------------------------------------------- I would give a zero if I could! Do not go here if you're new to the area!!!!!! Not sure what they did to my vehicle but I will never go back and that's a fact! Not only did my brakes not get looked at properly but the reason I went in did not solve my issue. When you go to place its expected that when you leave the work is done and done correctly. Basically, I feel like I was robbed! How do you tell a customer that a minor adjustment was needed and then you go to another place it's a different story? I advise against going to this place. No breakdown to what was done to the vehicle or an explanation of why the part was needed. One shouldn't have to "Google" parts as to why they are causing an issue. I took my car in for an inspection and a check engine light that had stumped multiple other repair shops. Not only were they able to effectively diagnose the problem, they did it in one day. On top of that, upon learning my situation, (just moved to town, baby #2 on the way), they gave me a HUGE break. This is by far the most positive experience I've ever had at an auto repair place. On another note, they have a huge sign in their waiting area that says "We here at Leading Edge can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens us". Took my 2000 Honda Prelude into Leading Edge to see what they could do for a bad motor. Other repair shops did not want to deal with finding me a used motor. Robby came up with 3 options for me and even found a good quality used motor for the car. I had him do the repairs and the work was completed in only 1 week! My wife took our vehicle to them because the AC compressor wasn't working. They were advised of the issue and of the fact that the AC had been recently charged. Her appointment was at 2PM. She waited 45 minutes for them to take the vehicle back to look at it and another 2+ hours for them to recharge the AC and figure out the compressor wasn't working (go figure). They didn't want to make me feel like I needed to pay for getting everything done at once when it wasn't all necessary right now. I took my truck there to have a serious issue diagnosed. The owner has to be the most honest person I have ever dealt with regarding vehicle maintenance. Honest almost to a fault. He gave me information on several options, two of which didn't include him doing any work. so I've have taken my 2005 Infiniti g35x here 3 time the first time was for my wheel bearing and other parts they replaced it with the wrong parts(but they admit their mistake and fixed it). then i went back a month later to fix an overheating egine and an oil leak. i ask them to check an o ring and they came back 5 min later and said i was not that for my oil change they said it was a head cover gasket which was 400$ compared to 10$. two day later my check engine light comes on and i bring it in and they tell me everything is fine, i looked under the hood to see my radiator fan (which they just worked on) was half was off with coolant spraying over my engine. then this last time today i brought it in for an oil change and told me i had a oil leak (that they fixed) and an o ring had to be replaced go figure. Also i had a transmission hose that was leaking they fixed it and were about to ring me out but they never check the transmission fluid i had to ask if it was low, they would have let me go with low transmission fluid in my car and not have said anything. i really think the mechanics have bad attention to detail here or are just lazy. would not recommend. But hey you can get 10% off you next visit if you write a review. hope this helps people i would search for a different shop before coming here. read more
